I have an 8 year old vehicle, which I keep in very good running condition. With the very cold weather that we have been experiencing lately I noticed that my vehicle didn’t seem to have the same “pep” it used to when I start it. So off to my local Advance Auto to have them check my battery. I was told that the battery could use a charge, but in my opinion with it being 8 years old I don’t know how much longer it would last. So I decided to get a new battery. Donald the Store Associate was very helpful. He installed the battery in no time and I was on my way, another happy customer.

Very helpful finding and installing wiper blade, replaced battery in key fob. In and out 15 minutes or so. My auto dealer wanted me to make appt to get key done!

I called and spoke to Brian and asked him if he could check something in my car he said, of course I went there. The manager that was so obnoxious only nice to the men who were there but nasty to the women who walked in told me it would be a long wait I waited 30 minutes and then he said something to Brian and my car could not be checked out. Yes, I'm bringing it to the mechanic, but I needed some help And he didn't want to be bothered. I had a problem with them when they first opened and went across the street to Colvin Who were more than accommodating at that time but they will close today on Sunday, but wow, what attitudes in that place never again while I go there I'll go to the place across the street if I have to, but at this point, I'm just going to call my own mechanic and have him check it, but the manager there is something to be desired. I didn't get his name. I think it was Ron or Roger or something like that but Brian made me drive from three towns over to him to check it just wow somebody should do a secret shopping in that place I hope corporate sees this.

Came to pick up an online order. Instructions clearly stated that I can either provide an ID, order confirmation number, or my e-mail. Unfortunately, the old guy in there already had an attitude and even though I was nice and asked how his day was, he refused to answer me and gave me the cold shoulder. I did not get to pick up my order after driving 20 minutes so I ended up cancelling my order. Never coming back here again. I'd be miserable too if I was working at a place like this at the age of 55.

White bald guy at the counter should be out of a job immediately. Not helpful whatsoever and extremely rude. No wonder this company is going under. Do yourself the favor and shop at Colvin across the street.

Just experience the worst customer service.Ever went into the store to purchase.Some items was treated very rudely, as well as a disabled man came in the store for a tire patch.They sold him whatever they wanted to sell him, didn't help him.And then he falls going out the door and they laugh, thinking, it's funny.I am not a fan of people treating elderly mentally disabled.People badly worse customer service ever

Sent a family member to get a battery.have been with advanced for 5 years. Employee refused to accept employee discount.quoted as saying I must be there. When did we change our mission statement .auto zone accepted a discount when told the story ..great job .NOT....employee 790557..in Colorado.

Came in yesterday with my husband and our 1 year old son to get a new car battery. From the start, all the workers were super professional, courteous and empathetic to our situation. My battery was so corroded that a piece ended up breaking and they recommended we take it to a mechanic. The car wouldn't start after that and we would have to have it towed out if we couldn't get it going. They came back out and worked so hard to get a charge going but the old battery wouldn't hold the charge. A gentleman who seemed to be the manager that told us we need to take it to a mechanic came out to see what he could do. It was such a cool breezy day so they offered to let us and our son go inside to warm up and even gave us chairs. The manager, out of the goodness of his heart offered to attempt to replace the piece that broke and if that worked he could replace our battery so we could get home. He didn't have to do any of this but as a father himself, I think he recognized two struggling parents that are just trying to make it and so he stepped in, even telling us a similar situation that happened to him with his kids on the side of I-95. He honestly was such a gentleman with a heart of gold. Well he was able to fix everything for us! ? and we were so thankful because we were praying hard! After all of their efforts they only charged us for the part and battery. They were even apologizing that it took so long and thanking us for our patience but I was like, THANK YOU! We even tried to offer what we could for a tip and they wouldn't take it. The manager told my husband to keep the money and get something for our son (which my husband made sure to do). My husband was so touched by his kindness and understanding from a parent to another parent, from a dad to a dad. They really have no idea how much they blessed us. They treated us with nothing but respect with a heart of servitude to their fellow man. You don't find this level of service and humanity every day. We regret we didn't get their names, but we thank them from the bottom of our hearts and may God bless them, their families and the business. We HIGHLY recommend doing business here and we will definitely be back in the future. Much gratitude, The Sarai Family ❤️

I have recently visited the Merrick store 5 times within the last 7 days for various items. R-134a Freon, Floor Mats, Steering Wheel Covers, 2 Innova OBD II Scanners. Each time Suzanne was there. I think she lives there. :) What a delightful, pleasant demeanor and patient woman. Very impressive, in this day and age. I know I can be difficult at times. She worked with me through all of my purchases. I have several nearby choices to purchase automotive parts. I will continue to utilize this store because of her. Thank You Again Suzanne.

Rude guy with blonde hair assumingely the manager… been going to this aap since I moved to bellmore 3 years ago for my regular wrenching and repair needs.( Came to do a oil change and inspection on my bike and needed some essentials ) Asked if I could use the bathroom and was given a firm rude no with no politeness or empathy, I explained I’ve used it before an he said he didn’t care and he didn’t know who started letting people do that. Not the friendly environment I look for in my local auto parts shop and will be going to the mom and pop down the block from now on

This is the best place to get parts at. The staff is great including a guy named josh and Nash. They perform outstanding customer service and go above and beyond for people. If you ever look up professionalism and customer service up in a dictionary there pictures would be there. The world needs more good people like them.

Never greeted when I walked in the door. Sales guy was not busy neither was the woman on the floor. Walked around looking for what I needed and was never offered assistance. Couldn't find it so I finally went up and asked the guy. He said all the tie down straps were getting discontinued so they didn't really have any stock. So I ended up going to a competitor. Pretty bad when staff are not busy and ignore the customer. Great way to drive customers away.

Great customer service, one employee named Nash helped me immensely, he helped me figure out exactly what I needed and helped with installation too. He also recommended I become a member which immediately saved me money. Very satisfied and will be back.

Outstanding sales people work at the Merrick location. They go above and beyond to help the customers. I was just there for a light bulb for my front turn signal, the sales person looked up the proper part on the computer and got me the correct bulb but here’s where the good part comes in. Not only did he get the bulb for me, he also handed me a pair of disposable latex gloves so I wouldn’t touch the bulb during installation. This is certainly not the first experience I had with this store. Several years ago my car was parked on Sunrise Hwy close to the auto store, my battery went dead. The sales person gave me a jumper to take back to my car but unfortunately the battery was too far gone. The sales person sold me a replacement battery and gave me the tools needed to change my battery. Yeah, that’s the class of people you’ll find in Advanced auto.

Great service at this store. One of the managers, sorry didn’t get his name, helped get me what I needed at a discount after what I ordered for pickup was found to be out of stock. Great customer service is so rare these days. I will be returning here whenever I need anything for one of my cars or truck.

Went here yesterday, highly highly recommend this place. Singh is the man and he was super friendly and just as helpful. He went over the top and even helped me replace my taillight bulbs which was beyond excellent customer service. He talked to me like a friend and knew what he was doing, I really appreciated all of his help. If you get the wonderful opportunity to go here, ask for Singh!

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a great staff at the Sunrise highway store in Merrick. Suzanne whose polite and kind manner helped me research a battery needed for my Subaru, and James who diligently removed and installed the new batttery. He was fast and efficient. He has great people interaction. And then there is Chuck the manager of this store who assisted me with the expertise , knowledge, and professional mannerisms that made this a great experience. He had given me the confidence and trust in both his products and in the service to his customers. Thank you, all.

Came here to test my battery, Chuck assisted me and he was great. Very friendly, patient and didn't attempt to have me automatically replace it so I can spend money at the store. I wound up deciding to just replace it as he was going to spend 45 minutes testing it for me which he wound up swapping it out as well. Highly recommend this store

I had a great shopping experience in this store on sunrise highway the store was well stocked. I got exactly what I needed and was in-and-out in less than 10 minutes I highly recommend. nothing bad to say about this location staff was very helpful as well
