My experience was very bad with JIMMY IN THE MACHINE SHOP he over charges for his work he charge me $300 to remove 3 screws And before he did the job he told me it was $20 to remove 1 screws The second hub was a half of a screw and he charge my husband $85 JIMMY is LAZY AND COMPLAIN Everyone else was every nice

I'm a 75 year old woman & I used to come there w/ my husband over 30 years ago. He's now deceased. I come for myself now. I say it was a reason why he showed me this business. The Colvin Staff is GREAT THE PRICES ARE GREAT compare to All the other Auto stores near by

I can’t speak well enough of these guys. They will find you the part you need, or if not they have a machinist on site (Jimmy) that can pretty much make it for you. And their pricing is always reasonable.

This is a real auto parts place that has been in business for more than forty years. Many auto repair shops buy their parts or order them from Colvin's. They also have knowledgeable people behind the counter to help you or answer your questions. I highly recommend them.

Goodmroning I went to Colvin Motor parts. To purchace auto paint the Paint ASSOCIATE at that location is so DISRESPECTFUL and need to be retrain in the CUSTOMER SERVICE . I was the first person on line when he walked pass me 4 times, he never said give him a minute or good morning i was there at 9:55 am until 10:00.A second customer came to the counter next to me and the Associate said what up, when I proceed to give my order I was then told I,m not talking to you I talking to him. meaning the second person in line. If i could give a minus 1 i would.

I have also gone to this business my whole life. Great staff. Some I still recognize. I have since moved from merrick but when I need auto parts I drive back. Almost always have the part in stock if not they get it ASAP. I also know that I will get a quality part from them. Recently the staff really bailed me out on a break job that went awry. Even bringing the part to my home. It’s so great to see a mom and pop type small business that does it right and is still in business! Let’s show them our support ?

I used to go crazy trying to find parts all over the island until I found Colvin. These guys are the best! Extremely knowledgeable and carry parts for a WIDE range of vehicles (new and old). They also offer a host of other services. When in doubt give these guys a call!

They have amsoil!!!! This place is run by old time gear heads and machinists. They have things that only real racers would love including specialty oils. Like motul and amsoil, they have everything for old 1950 and up, too new cars. If you need something noone has give them a call... they also have a fully functioning machine shop.

I did something very stupid. I used Gorilla Tape on my car, and when I pulled it off, well it took part of the paint. My car is 30 years old, but they were able to match the color, and gave me a small can of paint for the touch ups. It matched perfectly!!! The men were extremely helpful and very patient with me, (being I’m a woman). You can’t go wrong at “Colvin Motor Parts” for car parts and car paint.

A really unique and complete auto part in all long island, the people on the counter know what they're doing. Patrick will go out of his way to help you out every time very knowledgeable. vasko is the star with the Latino customers

Seem to always be able to get quality parts other places can't, they know their stuff, have in house machine shop. I drive past 2-3 big brand "shops" to get to them. They're actually across the street from advanced and still going strong.

Fantastic customer service, have been using Colvins as long as I have owned vehicles. They have virtually everything and if they don't carry they'll order that day or for the next. Highly recommended!!!!

This store has been in Merrick for my entire life. And I will never stop coming here. When I was a kid they always had what I needed, or helped me with what I needed. The knowledge they can share unbeatable. As I grew up my business has done plenty of stuff with them too. And really. I couldn't ask for a better place to call my auto store. Everyone has bad days. But this place really doesn't have many. And!! They have colvin cat! Nothing else to say. This place is awesome

I have been going there for years and I always go home with the correct parts. I do buy stuff online to save some money but they are pretty competitive as well as offering good advice. The most important part is they have great stock. When your in a pinch they come through.

Great auto parts store. They have almost everything and if they don't have it they'll get it in within a few hours at least in my cases. My Dad and I have been going there for years for jetskis, boats, cars and classic cars.

Called for parts they didn't have in stock, by the time I got to the store they had them sitting on the counter already invoiced. In and out in minutes. Great service and will use them again.

They had everything I needed what they didn't have they delivered to my shop 3 hours later for free!!. The qualified technicians in the Machine Shop were very helpful. I had two Marine Big Blocks rebuilt for notably less than other shops wanted to charge. I put a hundred and fifty hours this is Summer never skipped a beat. If You're Building you need to be here. Very accommodating. If they don't have what you need, they will get it the same day or next day... Better than ordering the item on the net, having to wait several days, pay for shipping.You end up paying the same money.

Can't understand what happened to this business. It used to be an A1 auto store now it's just another in the bunch their customer service is very poor and specially their machine shop. never gets anything done. first bad experience. I call a few days ago to see if they had a three-quarter tap and die after holding on for 15 minutes they told me that they did not have it. I was on my way towards eastern Long Island and I said let me stop and make sure that they don't have it. like I thought they did have it the guy on the phone was just too lazy to look for it. And their machine shop is the worst. After they have your parts sitting there for two days doing nothing and then tell you some lame story. the machine wasn't working right. So forget it people there's no more good old fashion auto parts store around here.

Old school auto parts and machine shop. The type of place that really bends over backwards to help you. Very good pricing, extremely knowledgeable staff and great selection. When you need a top notch auto parts store, this is what you want. Often has a small wait due to how great these guys are. I have found hard to get parts here many times. Honest and straightforward. Wish there were more like this still around.

Had my Toyota 4A engine head checked milled and changed the stem seals there. Came back with leaking exhaust valves, air was shooting out the exhaust port when doing leak down in my shop. I sent the head back, they could not fix the problem they created, more then that they try to blame everything on me with a very bad attitude, such as yelling to me and talk over me every time! I am never going back there, I brought me business to other place already. They are not the only shop around. Any way, this shop is a very irresponsible and need some good customer service. I don't recommend this shop personally, if you still want to try, take your own risk!

The custom service was absolutely horrible. I called asking if they machine cylinder heads and the guy said yes then immediately put me on hold and came back with a price for a valve job, then got mad at me when I told him I wanted the price of a port and polish even though I didn't tell him anything because he put me on hold so fast. Then after he got mad at me, he put someone else on the phone who told me a port and polish was too expensive and I should just get new heads. Thanks guys, you're wonderful.

Great old school auto parts store with a crew of knowledgeable guys working there. Full machine shop service. A great place in a world filled with franchise McAutoparts shops its great to have Colvin in the neighborhood.
