Called first and stopped by to pick up a new car battery. Had a nice conversation with the gentleman behind the counter, he explained the original battery I wanted was sold out due to manufacturing shortages and had to size up to an H6 (he even confirmed if I knew that the battery would fit since i was originally looking for an H5, that was very nice of him). Really good experience.
Kind of hidden away but this is the distributor for Interstate Batteries in this area. So what that means is they have all the selection of batteries that maybe some of the dealers wouldn't carry. I needed to get a motorcycle battery. The price was better than what I could get most elsewhere. A lot of times for vehicle batteries you can get what are called, "blems". These are perfect batteries but have maybe some cosmetic defect that the factory didn't like so they discount them. A lot of times they're 50% of the regular price. Service was quick. They will test your battery to make sure that it is good or bad and can hold the charge. Then sell you the appropriate one only if you need it. Since the battery I needed was for a motorcycle, I needed to fill it with the included acid and then charge it. The majority of their batteries already come with acid in them and already charged ready to go. Most of the small engine like ATVs or motorcycles unless they are AGM batteries need to have the acid installed. Good service.
I've been a customer for 16 years, no reason to go anywhere else. Local, family owned, great batteries, honest, and will let you know if your battery is truly bad or not before selling you a new one. They have refurbished options too that are great for saving cash and come with a warranty.
Bought a battery in December needed to exchange it due to a very cold winter's night must have did in the battery went back got an exchange no problem tested the one I purchased and gave me a a replacement no questions asked Jacob ,Chris very helpful others are really nice there too all businesses should be run like this place
Staff is knowledgeable and kind. They accept all types of lead acid batteries here to be recycled. Good prices on remanufactured batteries. Highly recommended.
The owner was great, a family man, friendly, honest, and very helpful. He had what I needed and I am fully satisfied with both service and product (battery). I wish I knew about this place before now. I encourage everyone to try this place before spending a whole lot for a battery somewhere else.
I purchased a remanufactured battery for only $40. It sure beats paying for a brand new battery st this time. They were even kind enough to lend me tools to remove my old battery, avoiding having to return or pay a core charge.
* Oct 2018- It's been almost one year and never had any problem with my remanufactured battery. It's been so good to me I have purchased 4 others for work vehicles. I am the Transportation Manager of a large fleet and love going to Interstate in Freeport to take advantage of these!
Service is always good ... They are always courteous... They usually show up when they say ........ However the reason we use is for their batteries........ There batteries are not so good ...
I know why are we still using their service ... Yes that has to change
