I pick up trucks purchased from Ryder locations across the country, and the guys at this location are probably the friendliest I’ve dealt with anywhere. They’re professional, helpful, and easy to work with. What really stands out is that they actually pay attention — if something isn’t right, they notice it and start working to correct it before I even have to say anything. That kind of service makes a big difference and is very much appreciated.
Always easy to pickup units with Jon or Matt, efficient as it could, sometimes a they already have paperwork done just to sign and get going, one of my personal favs locations of UTC
Ryder does not stand by their vehicles. Check engine light and DEF light came on within 20 mi. They then proceeded to keep the truck for repairs for over 3 weeks of the 30-day warranty. I got the truck back and within 500 mi over a week and a half the same problem showed up. Except now they refuse to fix it correctly after saying they would warranty the repair.( But apparently not 35 days after purchase) My mechanic is quoting me $8,000 to fix what they refuse to fix. On top of all that the warranty department will stop responding to you the moment You go over 30 days. Don't trust them. Don't trust them at all. Even their mechanics were saying this happens all the time.
Oh and forget about asking a truck rental company like Ryder for a rental after your truck breaks down leaving the lot. They have no problem with you making post like this and renting from Penske. I refuse to do business with Ryder in any capacity ever again.

I had been looking for a used truck for several months privately before I decided to see what Ryder might have to offer. I was hesitant to get a truck from a rental or leasing company because you never really know if the trucks were abused during the rental. After dealing with Vito from the Farmingdale Location my fears were put to rest. He gave me a print out of the vehicles history, which had everything as far as maintenance and repair listed and the date it was done. It was impressive. He followed through from beginning to end and addressed any concerns that I had with the Truck The team at Ryder performed a full inspection of the Truck and went over its operations with me. Lisa handled all of the paperwork and correspondence quickly and prepared everything I needed for the DMV. It was a stress free experience. The truck runs and looks great.
Vito & Lisa were good to work with. They did what they said they would do and treated me fairly. I came from out of town to pick up a truck and they were ready for me and made the transition smooth.
This is not a good place to spend hard earned money. I purchased a 2013 m2 206 box truck April 6 2019 realized there were oil leaks and cab roof leakage notify them they said they repaired it after collecting the unit the exact same problems presented themselves I gave it it back to them since April 23,2019 and since then all I get is run around now I have to be paying all the expenses while the hav ed truck which was said to be a certified unit.i have used the truck for a day as yet and it a month now

Put it this way, bought a truck and picked up the truck after I was told it was inspected and passed.
Broke down within 24hrs in NC.
They repaired it in NC and picked it up on the way to NY to return the Truck and it broke down again in MD same day it was picked up.
Be careful with the salesperson Michael, he's very unprofessional and tell you everything to make you feel like you are getting the best deal.

It's Jan.18th 2019 and still don't have a truck we bought a month before because it's not fixed as yet in MD.
Ryder needs to do better and help their customers, they do not respond to emails and keep stringing you along.

Always telling to make the reservations a week and half in advance but then always tells me they don't have anything available!
Gonna pay a little more and go with Penske.

Expect no parking trucks everywhere you have no idea where to go extremely unorganized if you do rent the truck go over it very well Farmingdale Ryder isn't the best place you're better off going to Ronkonkoma it's a little bit more organized
Worst place to buy a used truck had a very bad experience board a very spensive truck and the 1st week I can only work the truck one week and then it broke down it took like a like 2 months to finally fix it and the truck still giving me problems the want to you got a deductible worst mistake ever take it from me guys do not buy you struck from this place or rider the worst people ever
I rent from them 4-5 times a year & there ready to go with my trucks early. They take pics of the trucks so I'm not responsible for other drivers mistakes.
Gave an offer , waited 3 days , nobody called , finally i called back , they said truck not available because of some issues , so why you guys wasted my time ???
You were the most kindest Ryder dealership yet very considerate of myself and my cat from continuing to overheat in this 95 + weather down here thank you
