What clients say about Savers in Bethpage (NY)

Large, clean thrift store with a variety of clothing, books/media and houseware. Like others have said, pricing of certain items borders on the nonsensical, but you can still get great deals. Knocking off one star because there are no fitting rooms. It’s understandable that this helps maintain the tidiness of the store and is easier for the employees, however it’s incredibly frustrating as a customer to not be able to try on something you like.

Many of the reviews comment on how neat it is at this location. Its neat for two reasons. Reason 1 ) They over charge for everything. A mens “ worn “ T-shirt for $7.49 ! Worn pants over $15 . With high price points like this keeps customers away and hence no one is touching the racks ! Reason 2) Value ! People shop for Value and expect a deal when thrifting . No deals here and due to corporate greed the Savers group are cashing in this fantasy that shopping at Savers/ Value Village your savings money, its in the name .Shameful that this company hides behind this lie . Save your money, shop on sale or clearance. Marshalls , TJ Maxx even Macy’s have better deals and prices.

Whoever runs this savers they’re doing an amazing job! Very organized, clean and calm atmosphere! Best one I’ve found so far. The savers in West Hempstead is a complete disaster won’t be going there. I’ll take a drive to this SAVERS.

I stopped in yesterday 4/24. Had a lovely experience at this new location. Lovely young girl was working in the front registers... I believe her name was Aneesa (I am definitely butchering her name I apologize). I was having issues with my transaction and she was so patient and helpful. Excellent customer service and I will be back again. Got some cute stuff too. When you donate you get 20% coupon. So recommend doing that. The man in the donation section was also very nice and processed my donations and gave me the coupon with no issues and without me having to ask. Store is also well organized and clean.

Prices are outrageous. A worn out SHEIN dress, $11.49?? Anything above quality of Old Navy is almost $20. Wild.

This is a very clean, organized store. They have friendly people there and are very helpful. I have gotten Hollister, Abercrombie and other Brand name clothing there for reasonable prices. They need to remove the original stickers because some were $6 less on their tickets than on Savers tickets.

Another store set on massive greed. Wayyyy over priced. No thanks. There are way better thrift stores in the area with pricing the right way. And What’s with the used dollar tree stuff marked up 200%??

This is THE MOST organized Savers I’ve ever been to! I really hope they’re able to keep it that way. Found all kinds of amazing deals, especially on larger items like furniture and mobility devices. I was SHOCKED at how affordable things were. Already looking forward to going back!

The clothes are somewhat overpriced, considering they are pre-owned. When I asked if they had fitting rooms, they said they don't, however, i could return the item within 12 days if it doesn't fit. So, i went back to return an item and they came up with a new story. They don't give refunds. I could only exchange for another item. In other works. If the item doesn't fit you, that's too bad. You're obligated to buy something else. On top of that, the woman had the guts to tell me, since i can't get a refund, i could donete the item back to them. HOW DARE!!.

“I’ve been to every Savers on Long Island, and Bethpage really impressed me! The inventory was a bit light—totally understandable since they just opened, and Bethpage is a big garage-sale town—so donations are probably still ramping up. But the store was clean, organized, and the prices were actually reasonable. Unlike West Islip, where prices are outrageous (you can get things cheaper new at Macy’s!). I’m hoping Bethpage keeps their prices fair, because I’ll definitely be shopping there again and again.”

I came for the opening day and I got a Nespresso machine for $13 and it works!!!! I had to descale it to make sure it’s clean on the inside and that’s it! I got other items as well, the store had a great selection of items and workers were so nice. I would be back.

I honestly don't understand these reviews...seems like a bunch of privileged Long Islanders that have never shopped in a thrift store ever...the prices for housewares was incredible, practically giving brand name items away...the women's department was filled with absolute steals-almost brand new jeans and sweaters at a fraction of the price of going to Kohls or Macys...a huge books/media section, super-organized, I mean they had sets of books and DVDs all put together for their customers...the workers were super-friendly and attentive...considering that the prices of everything continues to rise, I find it comforting that more thrift stores are opening up around here, especially one that is very neat, clean and fully stocked (compared to island thrift and the Savers in Hempstead)...definitely worth a look

Store was busy on this Sunday following grand opening. It was clean and organized. I was surprise to see the books under different broad sections (Non-fiction, Reference, etc), and pictures neatly stacked on wall shelvings. Got some paperbacks for $2.99 each and a small glass jug/pitcher for $3.99. Didn’t see any bargains with clothings or little Knick Knack bags ($5 each). There’s a sign that says you can get 20% off for being in a donation.

Very clean and organized with friendly staff and a wide selection of items. You may have to sort through some cheap brands to find the hidden gems, but that's any thrift store nowadays. My only complaint is that there's no fitting room, but they do allow exchanges for clothing for same-day store credit. I felt prices were reasonable for what I purchased.

Went on the 2nd day and seriously disappointed. One thing is location , its off the road behind Mavis . You can definitely drive by it . One horrible business decision was that they did not allow any coupons, only donations coupons. You would think to promote a grand opening they would allow coupons. The selection in the store is truly trash . Brands like Old Navy and Walmart brand . Do not expect any hidden gems . The prices are definitely higher and do not meet the quality of the product. Why would I pay $15 for a used hoodie or $20 for used jeans ? You can buy Brand new on sale at any store and still get a better deal . Similar to the Savers in West Hempstead check the prices online, use google to see if you are really getting a deal . For all you flippers, stay away its a waste of time. Unlike West Hempstead the local donation are coming from a less affluent community so the clothing donations represent that . I found Comic Books but even then the quality wasn’t great.Stay away and shop elsewhere. They priced Comic Books as Media . They did not fall under the buy 4 books and get 1 free , thats shady business.

Great store, but the layout is confusing. The first time I went, I had no idea where to park or how to actually enter the building. I accidentally parked on the wrong side and ended up driving around the store twice before finally figuring it out. Once you get inside, it’s organized and the selection is good — but getting there feels like a mini obstacle course. A simple sign for parking and the entrance would make a huge difference.
