I visited a few times while making a decision to purchase a car. Not 1 time was I pressured into buying anything. The only thing I didn't like. Was it snowed the night before, they didn't even offer to clear the car once I said I'd like to test drive it. They just handed me the keys & returned to sitting at the desk. The car I purchased is great.

very friendly people. got me into a car at a very good price. can’t stress how thankful i am for the staff!

We made a single purchase of two vehicles because they had the models we were looking for. Prices were okay, but not great. They didn't want to negotiate much on price though. We got a few hundred bucks off is all even when paying cash in full. Office lady was helpful and friendly. I'm giving two stars because of issues with the vehicles that arouse from the dealer not fixing things properly that we asked for ahead of time and other shady practices. One car failed our first inspection because of window tinting and we had to pay to have it removed. Other issues were covered up or not addressed at all. For example the rear door handles not working when they said they fixed them. Just stupid things like that to save themselves a buck and screw over their customers.

Northwest Auto helped us find a vehicle that fit our needs and budget. And when the vehicle had an issue after the 30 day/1000 mile warranty period, Frank and his team still honored the warranty. We really appreciated that they went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied customers. Highly recommend!

I bought a 2012 Mazda 3 and had a great experience with the dealership. Everybody was super friendly, helpful and not pushy like most dealerships. I love the car and would highly recommend Northwest Auto Mall to anyone looking to buy a used car.

I have had a car from this dealership for over a year and it's been nothing but problem after problem. It took forever to get repairs done with their mechanic and several of the repairs that needed to be done weren't even fixed right and once my warranty was up another $2000 worth of repairs need to be done. Going here was my biggest mistake when getting a used vehicle I wish I had gone to a better dealership.

Super patient & wonderful with my out-of-state purchase. So far, so good with the mechanics. Much thanks to Northwest Auto Mall for helping me provide the perfect birthday surprise for my boy 💙

Buyer Beware white 2014 Mazda6 on the lot. Made 3 email inquiries about this car, no response. Finally called to ask if I can send an inspector, the woman who answered said sure. Inspector sent report and pics and apparently there wasn’t any oil in the engine and cap wouldn’t come off. There’s a hole in the exhaust and a leak, there is significant rust in spots on frame, and the steering wheel pulls to the right. Looking at this very detailed report, it’s plain to see that this dealership doesn’t even look at the cars they put on their lot. The yearly inspection is up on 1/25, so they don’t even do the basic inspection for that. If you scroll through the negative reviews on here you’ll see the owner is quick to respond with excuses and tries to turn it around on the buyer. He can’t do that here because I bring receipts with an inspection and pics. BTW, these are only a few examples. The PPI included 100 pics and a 6 page report. Best $200 I ever spent, it saved me thousands. My loss is your gain, I hope it saves the next guy.

We test drove a vehicle on a Saturday. I called back on Monday and tried texting and messaging throughout the day. Not one response was given. Probably because the brakes needed repair and AC didn’t work. How can you trust buying a car from a place that won’t even call you back?!? Luckily we found one somewhere else.

Rust, Rude Remarks, and Waterlogged Trunks: The Northwest Auto Mall Nightmare. Our experience at Northwest Auto Mall was nothing short of appalling. We visited this dealership with the intention of exploring a 2006 Subaru Outback listed on their lot, only to be met with a level of rudeness and disregard that was utterly astonishing. The advertised Subaru Outback we were interested in was in deplorable condition—far worse than described online. For starters, the car was in desperate need of four new tires, with countless dents and scratches. Under the car, every metallic surface was graced with a generous helping of rust, except for the bottom of the engine bay. That’s because metal cannot rust when it’s bathed in oil! Speaking of which, there was a slow yet steadily growing pool below the car. The dipstick showed fresh oil that was overfilled, leading me to believe they top it off frequently. The tailgate struggled to raise under its own hydraulic power, needing new struts. One of the very few saving graces of this vehicle was the plastic trunk liner, which contained an inch of water. Yup, standing water in the trunk of this vehicle. The spare tire compartment was waterlogged, containing 2-3 inches. From the low quality pictures included online, the interior seemed fine. In person, there was a large hole in the drivers side padding, countless scratches, missing plastic, and worn out mechanisms. All these could be excused for the age, however the floorboards that were rotting through cannot. I wonder if the aforementioned water had anything to do with this? When we approached the staff to inquire about the car's condition and negotiate a potential price adjustment considering its state, the response was shockingly rude and dismissive. The saleswoman said an almost funny truism to try and change the subject, “a lot of people like Subarus.” By no means is that false, as plenty of people from all walks of life are fond of the Subaru brand, myself included. But we were not talking about just any subaru, we were talking about this rolling disaster. So I asked her directly if she was familiar with this specific outback, to which she could not answer. Being the good samaritan that I am, I thought it was only fair for me to inform her of the quirks and features of the car. I pulled out my laundry list of surprises, and she suddenly appeared to have an explanation for everything! But that’s the extent of my positive experience, as the owner, sitting 5 feet away and actively talking to a couple, decided it was time to jump in. The owner reminded us that the car had, allegedly, passed inspection. (It’s worth mentioning that at no point did he utter the phrase “New York State Inspection” and the vehicle failed to display an inspection sticker.) He then insisted that since it passed inspection, it’s a great vehicle with no legitimate problems. After citing some of the car’s legitimate problems, he told me the car was not for me. Instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion, we were met with condescending remarks and a complete lack of professionalism. No explanation, no negotiation, no patience nor manners. The largest mistake they made was making the CarFax available, which told me it’s been sitting on this lot for three months. Plenty of time for Northwest Auto Mall to give it the slightest bit of care or attention. Furthermore, the overall atmosphere of Northwest Auto Mall was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The dealership appeared disorganized and understaffed, with employees seemingly more preoccupied with their own affairs than assisting customers. The “office” was under construction, making it very hard to hold a conversation over the sharp and persistent sounds of power tools. In summary, our visit to Northwest Auto Mall was a waste of time and left us feeling deeply disappointed. The blatant disregard for customer service and the disrespectful treatment we received during our interaction is inexcusable. As a result, we strongly advise against considering Northwest Auto Mall for any automotive needs.

I am not normally one to write a negative review however this deserved one. My husband and I came here to look at a smaller suv. We knew from looking at their website and other reviews not to expect a whole lot from this place. First of all, we asked to see the vehicle and the young woman who gave us the keys didn’t attempt to even point us in the direction of where the car was in the lot. Not great customer service but again, not expecting much from this place. We find the car and IT DOESNT START!! I went inside and said to the young woman who gave me the keys “we are no longer interested in this vehicle because it didn’t start…” and she replies “ we can jump it for you” yea no thanks. As I’m standing there in this “office” which was messy to say the least, the owner of the place is sitting three feet away, listening to me ask her about what other smaller suvs they might have and he doesn’t even attempt to introduce himself, smile, ask if he can help, nothing. I only know he was the owner because he loudly let the very elderly man who was In there at the same time as us know. The fact that the “owner” of a business doesn’t even want to make eye contact with a potential customer tells me all I needed to know about wanting to do business there. Saving money or staying in a budget is one thing but this place was downright sketchy. Don’t waste your time

This was quite the experience. I don’t tend to review places often but this one was wild. We went to see 3 different Toyota Tundras they had, ‘07 & (2) ‘10. First truck they didn’t have the right size battery in it apparently (so couldn’t start or drive it) was super rusted underneath anyways. Pass. Looked at the 2nd one, really rusty underneath, muffler was rusted lots of dents and scratches. Pass. Looked at the 3rd one, wasn’t too rusty underneath, looked fairly solid, not many dents or scratches, so we test drove it…. Lol…. Turn it on & immediately the check engine light came on. It’s 90° this day, so I go to turn the AC on, it’s blowing hot air.. cool lol. Started shifting weird as we were driving, so we pulled over to look at it again. The leaf springs were cracked and being held up with small clamps, and upon closer inspection - the muffler was being held up with wire 🤦♀️ this place can’t be serious! Mind you, all three trucks were priced between $14,995 & $18,995 😳 We felt like we were waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out (punk’d) absolutely insane. We’ve never experienced anything like this. Save your time, do not even bother with this place. ***I would like to reply to the owners review below, they NEVER said there wasn’t a battery for that vehicle. I called and stated we were driving an HOUR AND A HALF & wanted to make sure the vehicle wasn’t already being purchased, she said it was not. Why would I drive that far if I knew there wasn’t a battery for it? 😂 please save yourself your time and dont go here. You’ll be disappointed.

I purchased a 2012 Jeep Patriot from Northwest Auto Mall during the summer. I had a fantastic experience! Great communication all around. I love supporting local family business since they actually care even after the deal is done. I very much appreciate everything they did for me.

Absolutely fantastic experience with this dealership. I have been burned by places like this before so I was a little apprehensive at first. Everyone there is pleasant and seemed generally happy to help you. Most importantly they are honest and upfront. We picked out a vehicle that worked for us at a great price. Instead of letting us just drive off like some places would they kept to vehicle for a few days to make sure everything was working correctly. There was a minor issue when we brought it home, they took it in no questions asked and fixed it within a day. They assured me if anything else happens just bring it in and they will take care of it. I hope not to need another car for quite some time. But when I do I know where I'll be going.

Excellent, no-pressure service from Paul. We had difficulty timing the purchase with our house sale, and they were very considerate, holding the vehicle for a while with just a down payment In a hot market. Vehicle was clean and just as promised at delivery. A1 dealer, and hope to use them again in future.

I'd like to share my personal experience here. I recently purchased a used pickup truck from Northwest Auto Mall. I was pleasantly surprised how easy and smooth Paul made the buying process. They don't use high pressure sales tactics and push crazy scam tactics that most car dealers use. Paul answered all my questions showed me the carfax report and explained all the available options. I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend giving them the opportunity to earn your business. I will definitely buy from them again in the future.

I never leave reviews but I will for this place… I purchased a used Jeep Wrangler from this place almost 1 year ago. With the purchase of this vehicle came a 30 day warranty. Under this warranty it was brought to the attention of Frank that 2 of the lock cylinders were seized and he offered to have both replaced. Because I live a 2 hour drive from the shop he offered to ship me the cylinders so that I could put them in myself. After calling the shop hundreds of times and leaving hundreds of messages they refused to answer or call back. After finally getting ahold of them 10 months later I spoke with one of the employees who said he would send me my cylinders but that they only have 1. I told him I’ll take the 1 at this point and after hanging up the phone frank then called me back and attempted to bribe me to take down my bad review I had left a week prior or I would not receive my lock cylinder. After I said that I would not take my review down he claimed “he’s not playing games” and I have videos of both phone call conversations. Not to mention the car has had numerous issues and has costed over 3k in repairs already. They like to leave responses to bad reviews denying accusations but this place has very poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Husband and I bought a truck for $17000. Nothing but problems. From wrong size battery to missing brake parts, and now huge issues axle bearings, fuel rails, and more. We are well over $1000 into repairs, and now taking it to a real dealership to have fixed once and for all...probably several more thousand to go...we will be putting a sign on the back saying "we bought this 🍋 at northwest auto", give us a beep if you saw this review. All we can do now is try to help others to not make the same mistake we did.

July 2018 purchased a vehicle. Within a month, check engine light pops on, oil pressure sensor started going on. Took it in for service, was told everything was good. This continued to happen about every other month, but never went back because obviously they didn’t do the job properly (or do the job at all and just reset the check engine light) the first time and I had no confidence that it’d actually be addressed and corrected like it should’ve been before I even signed the contract to buy. Jump forward to this week, $7200 in repairs for an estimate after putting in about $3000 myself last year, and I’m back to finding a new car. The $7200 estimate I received is roughly $200 more than what I paid for the vehicle. Made it about half way through the loan before the car gave up on me. I feel like I was sold damaged goods under the guise that everything was just fine with my car. If ANYONE is looking to purchase a car, keep heading down Ridge Road and go to another dealership. I learned from my mistake, but I’m hoping that another buyer doesn’t make the same mistake I did. Between down payment, car payments, and maintenance, I’ve probably put in close to $9000 in the last two and a half years into a dud of a vehicle. Would’ve been better just setting that money on fire instead of dealing with this. Finally decided that enough is enough and that it’s time to cut bait with this car.

I went here yesterday based on a referral from a family member. The guy that I spoke to was the least bit interested in my existence there once I gave him a brief rundown of my situation. He told me I wouldn't get anywhere without a co-signer or a high interest rate, which I told him i was aware of my situation and that was something id just have to do so that was fine. Guy wasn't interested in working with me, despite my openness and just kept saying " yeah youre in a tough spot" like thanks bud. Anyways, had a appointment at Upstate Auto Credit later that day, super helpful, friendly and welcoming knowing it would also be tough but still willingly tried with some optimism. They got me a car with no co-signer, way less interest then what Northwest told me i was gonna get with out even trying, and way nicer/newer car then any 11k,+100k miles northwest have on the lot. definitely recommend Upstate, this place is a dud.

Bought a Honda Civic in 20 13 it is a 2002 still going strong, but NY salt is getting the best of her. The car never let me down. Now looking for a newer model. Was hoping for warmer weather to go back to Northwest.

Very annoyed and frustrated with this company. Clearly they don't inspect the cars before they sell them to customer. I just financed a mazda3 because I needed a reliable car for work. Turns out they just reset the check engine lights and sell you a piece of junk. I was told the light was for an evap leak (gas cap) but the light is for severe engine problems. I've missed days of work taking this car back and forth to the shop. Very unhappy.

I was in the market for a commuter car and when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised in the large inventory to choose from with competitive prices. (Cars for every budget) Family owned business and all employees I spoke with were professional and helpful in answering all my questions. Also liked the free Carfax available for car history, shows honesty. I will be sending my friends and family to Northwest.

Check engine light came on two weeks after we got the truck also reverse light went out . Warranty cover’s nothing Not only did we call my husband brought the truck in because the e brake stopped working all within 30 days and you tried to charge us $250 dollars. We definitely bought are truck from you. I left 3 stars because a used car is a used car and it was priced okay next to blue book value we were in and out quick

We needed a reasonably priced used vehicle. After doing some research we found a great deal here at Northwest Auto Mall. Test drove it and was pleased with the price for the vehicle. It was a very fair price and the car had a minor issue to which they fixed promptly with no hassle. Would absolutely do business here again.

great dealer. I was looking for a specific truck for months and they had one. The price they had on the vehicle was the best I found. I went and looked at the truck and was able to take my time and really look it over without having a sales person breathing down my neck. After being satisfied with the inspection I took it for a test drive and found a few things I wanted addressed before buying it. The sales person assured me those things would be resolved and they were. The finance manager, Shannon answered all the questions I had and had all the paperwork ready for me at arrival to pick up the truck. Overall it was the smoothest buying experience from start to finish that I’ve had. It’s definitely worth a shot to check them out.

Bought a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee form them in April. Very friendly staff and very approachable, no hassling. Took the jeep for a test drive, tire sensor needed to be repaired. After purchase, the sensor came on again intermittently. Took it back and they went over the vehicle in depth to find the problem and rectified it. Very thorough service staff. Treated me like a customer not a dollar sign. Have recommended and will again to my friends.

Picked up my 2013 Chevy Malibu and had a great expirence with it all! Super easy and no pressure! Car car has been great and had a CEL a week after for something small but they were very proactive on honoring the warranty and having me come in to fix it! Would recommend!!
May 30, 2018 -
Went to look at a truck. Clearly over priced, had an independent mechanic look it over who found easily $2000 worth of repairs needed. Truck had to be jump started to even test drive, and the tires clearly have rot. Sales person wouldn't even consider changing the price beyond a couple hundred dollars and expected a $100 deposit before the shop would consider making repairs. Absolute joke of a business.
