VERY rude parts guy, called to order a part and the counter guy assumed I was a “robot” and started name calling. I immediately hung up and called Adirondack Auto who were happy to help with my needs! 10/10 suggest going to Adirondack instead!

Lost my keys and they were able to get a new set of keys the next day. They said they will call me as soon as they get the key but never did. Had to call to confirm and said they have it. They can’t program the key ahead of time without me physically present myself, which doesn’t make sense because I had to wait for almost an hour when I get there. But in reality it only took less than 10mins for the tech to program it. Customer service wasn’t all good at all.

I would definitely recommend this place. I have never been one to like the car buying experience but everyone here was wonderful, from the moment I walked in the door to when I drove away with my new used car. They guided me through step by step and never tried to push anything. Thank you Thank you.

I had a fantastic experience at Upstate Auto. This is a family owned business that clearly cares about its customers. Both Tom and Aaron were wonderful to work with-friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Everything was smooth and stress free. We have now purchased 3 used vehicles from Tom. A Ram 2500, Jeep Compass and Dodge Dakota. We have been very happy with competitive pricing at a local dealer that stand behind what they sell. All the vehicles we purchased were used and they performed repairs to 2 of the vehicles prior to purchase. Some of these repairs were preventative and not required for inspection. This shows their commitment to providing safe and quality used cars to locals and is commendable. We will continue to support this local family owned and run company.

Better off getting a buddy from one of the local bars to service your vehicle than mechanics here. Scheduled for 12:30PM. They are aware I work in the next town and am scheduled same day for 3:30PM. I get the holiday season craze, but this is no way to run a business or treat local consumers. Basic tire installation took 2HR 30min. Sat in the waiting area while 3 other people who arrived later were ready to go. When I initially inquired about the wait after 1hr 45min, I was told “tires take longer than 30 min”. I restated that I had arrived to my scheduled appointment at 12:30PM, and then was told “two guys are on it, 10 minutes!” The original mechanic with questionable experience then proceeded to try to patronize my sister and I explaining that one mechanic doesn’t want to do tires and are strapped for help - as is every other business since the pandemic - short staffed is zero excuse for poor work ethic and unprofessional customer service

Awesome service! Tom was great in helping me get the best deal with the purchase of my new Grand Cherokee! When I showed up he even got me another $1000. 00 off! He was very patient and was great at explaining everything. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful! Had a great experience overall and love my new vehicle!

I bought a car there roughly 2 months ago. A 2021 telluride. The sold it to me with no oil and every filter plugged. I didn't know this so I drove the car and now my motor might be ruined. If your buying a car from here make sure you ask if it has oil. You shouldn't have to ask this from a dealership but I guess you do here.

This review is for the service department. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have been very patient. The service here is terrible! We were on vacation 6 hours from home. One of our vehicles broke down (thank God we had multiple vehicles up there) and towed to Upstate. The next day I was told they couldn't even diagnosis the car for almost a month. Simply ridiculous! Then, I called back to speak to the customer service manager, Tina. I was told it would be diagnosed the following week. That never happened. We had to drive home without the car. I got the call the day we left and were several hours down the road, that there was nothing wrong with the car. The car had to sit there for a couple weeks because we would have to make a special trip, another 6 hours to drive back and pick it up. Didn't drive 20 miles after picking it up and it started to overheat again. I am angry. Worst customer service EVER!

Purchased a 2016 Ram 2500 from Tom and what a great experience. Would recommend Upstate Auto to all looking for a vehicle. Not the experience you will get in bigger dealerships. Everyone there is pleasant and will help in any way. Exactly what you should expect at a car dealer. Great selection and very helpful.This is the only dealer I will deal with from here forward.

I Bought a 2017 Dodge ram 2500 4x4 hd crew cab with plow with 88000, tom told me I could get a service contract if I put it on my car which we bought three days later that was a 2019 Chrysler 300 s it had two serv contracts on it now only one anyway ,truck had a starter prob just before Christmas had to fix it my self then rotors were bad tried to fix them and put on new brakes now power steering gear box went and they couldnt help me on that either now I'm paying for that to be repaired and mechanic broke a line from gearbox to cooler and had to find one of them and still paying my payments with 5000 down and 38000 dollar truck paying back 59000,as a desert storm veteran I thought my state and this garage mite help but no such luck...learn from this one

I'm a Dodge guy, I have issues with my Cummins Ram 2500. Talked to customer service and the guy told me he wouldn't even consider trading. Don't bother bringing it out. Unbelievable response coming from a dealership. They don't even care about potential customers. That's a terrible way to represent Dodge.

I recommend you don't walk away from this dealer you should run! I leased a vehicle from Upstate Auto and at the end of the lease I decided to buy out the lease. I then traded the vehicle the next week at a dealer that had one coming in in about 2 weeks. When the vehicle arrived the dealer asked about the title. I called Upstae Auto and was told the leasing company had not sent it to them yet and that this particular bank was difficult to deal with. I contacted the bank who then informed me Upstate Auto had never sent the lease buyout paperwork to them to process until the day I called which is 30 days after I paid Upstate Auto the lease buyout payment. Upstate auto sent in the info that day and the bank processed the lease buyout the very next day. But because I could not get my hands on a title and I had no idea when I would get one i had to let the dealer sell the vehicle and almost lost my deposit. Here is where it gets interesteing I called Tim Hesseltine to inform him that they dropped the ball after i paid them $20000 and they didn't complete the lease buyout on my vehicle for 30 days and only did it then because I called for the title. Well Tim got defensive and tried to give me excuses and that it might not have been their fault even though I had copies of all supporting documents from the bank. I feel he was rude, condescending and arrogant. Not a good look for any business to treat customers this way. I have bought a few vehicles from them and I guarantee I will never do business with them again. I also recommend everyone else avoid them too, they are shady

Stopped in to look at a Jeep, left 2 hours later with a BMW and a smile, great place to buy a vehicle. A little update, I've been back twice since I bought this car, once to trade it for a truck I liked and another time to get into a gladiator. The owner that sold me the bmw 6 months prior looked at the car and asked to take it for a ride, he drove it around the parking lot, came back and stated the transmission was slipping, it wasn't. It drove exactly the same way it did when I bought it from him, which made me recall him saying that he hoped it didn't cost a fortune in warranty repair when I bought it. At the time I just laughed it off due to BMW's reputation for high maintenance repairs but after the second interaction I suspect he thought it was slipping when I bought it originally. Tldr: My initial experience with this dealership was great, my subsequent visits have unfortunately not been.

Hands down the worst experience with a dealership/ service shop. Made an appointment to have work done covered by our warentee. Took time off from work to drop off the vehicle had no issues when we dropped it off, only to be called later to be told they were not doing anymore warentee work... I have never heard of this neither had the person we spoke to at chrysler. Do your self a favor and avoid this place.

Took a vacation to lake placid from NC. January 1st to the 13th and it was one of the coldest weeks of the winter with temperatures hovering around -10F as the highs to about -25F as the lows for about a week. It all started about 40 minutes from lake placid while I was driving on hwy 87. I was in a 2016 ram eco diesel and did not realize that in frigid weather diesel get geled up and can not run without a block heater so I took it to upstate auto Chrysler Dodge and jeep. They offered to keep the truck inside for me till the day I wanted to leave because they knew if I was to take it, there was little to no chance that it would start again. So, I left it there and I wanted to leave on Saturday but the temperature had not gotten any higher than -15F for the day. While I was there Saturday trying figure out when it would be safe to take the truck the lady at the front offered on her day off to come on Sunday and open the garage for me to take the truck and try and get home and it worked out perfect. Could not have asked for any better customer service and help from the dealership.

I couldn't be happier with the service department. My Jeep had multiple issues that were resolved very quickly. Kudos to them and the whole Upstate Auto team!
