Had to get my entire engine replaced, Kar Nut was the absolute best choice for us! Pricing was reasonable & they did really good work! Only took about a week for the actual work once the new engine came. They handled everything with my warranty/insurance & were so nice every time my anxious self called for an update. Honestly services went smoothly and really happy with that. However there was extremely unprofessional behavior from some of the staff that was present the day I took my vehicle in for service. The owner of the shop, did handle the situation as professionally as possible given the stress of the situation. Personally would recommend not going to the shop alone if you are female.

Excellent prices, punctual to appointments and time estimates. I don't feel taken advantage of as a woman alone at a mechanic shop and I don't feel intimidated. The owner, Wayne, explains everything along the way with prices. Always answers the phone or immediately returns calls. This is my go-to for maintenance or repairs because of the service and pricing. I've tried a couple other places in town and Kar Nut is by far the friendliest AND bonus points for being well priced compared to their competition.
Kar Nut is great. I used to go to other places but since moving back in Olean I've been going to Kar Nut. Wayne is a good guy, doesn't try to sell you things you don't need. Appointments are easy to setup and they get you in and out. If they make a mistake they fix it asap. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I had someone hit my vehicle in a round about after a coffee stop in this town. We found this place on Google as I wanted to have my tire checked before driving 5 more hours. They took me right in as soon as they opened, checked it out, and assured me I was safe to continue driving. I was a total stranger and they treated me like a lifelong customer! Wayne and his mechanics are great! Always quick and efficient. Being a women I was always afraid of someone misleading me. NOT with Wayne. He explains everything to me. He does a walk through of the vehicle then calls with what's wrong and a quote. The turn around time is pretty quick. He has serviced my vehicle for almost 2 years now. I can't say enough good things about his shop!!

So I took it in on 12/26/24 I picked it up on 1/7/24 I believe. I had the transmission replaced so value cover gasket done my choice they did a good job i didn't really have much issues with them price is what you would expect to have that kind of work done and normally I would do it but been out of state alot for work now anyone that works on cars can understand some prices has to go up if it breaks from old age, and time frame is when they are able to get parts I did have my o2 sensor lights on but I'm not sure if that's from their fault or just of old age just I find it weird took it in and only code was transmission but I'll take it as old age and I'll fix them and before anyone says that's part they didn't touch it was to drop the transmission they had to play with the exhaust so like I said I'll just say it's from old age who know but I won't give any place a 5 star their is always something they can improve on but really for the work they did it was good it was fixed and the price a little higher but I don't know prices anymore from doing my own work over years but it felt decently priced
Wayne is probably the best mechanic you could ask for. If you want honesty and quality work when you get your vehicle worked on go to kar nut. We've been working with Wayne since his days at monroe muffler back in the early 2000s and his workmanship hasn't changed a bit.

My car was stuttering as I drove. So I called up Kar Nut auto to take a look at a possible transmission issue. I was able to book an appointment within the week. When I brought my car in, they did a quick diagnostic test and were able to rule out the transmission issue and fixed what was wrong the same day. The owner was super friendly and the mechanics efficient and skilled. My drive away from the business was smooth and secure. I'll definitely go back and I recommend their services.
Great service and good people! Took my car in for some work had it fixed. Something didn't quite go well as I left but was told to come back. Once I returned Wayne assured me it would be taken care of and he apologized for the issue. It's great to know that real accountability still exists. I would definitely recommend Kar Nuts
I had stopped in the night before to have a bulb installed in my headlight, which they were kind enough to let me watch how it was done. The next day I was able to book an oil change for the same day. Service was quick, efficient, and reasonable. I only wish they had taken the protective paper floor mat out before giving the car back. Very happy with my service and the friendliness of Wayne and his mechanics.
