Tires for electric vehicles (EVs) are a specialty item, at least for now, requiring a very quiet ride, and accommodating the extra weight of EVs, such as my Ioniq 5. Buying and installing new tires is pretty routine, but every service encounter, even the routine ones, is an opportunity to provide first-rate service, or not. From ordering the tires to installing and balancing them, Kevin and his team at Compass Automotive excelled. I obtained a very convenient appointment, and did not have to wait very long at all for the installation and balancing. I'm very pleased with not only the new tires, but also the first-rate service provided by Compass Automotive."

I went to Compass Auto for a Pre-Purchase Inspection. They were super kind, knowledgeable, and explained everything the car needed/would need. I didn't end up buying the car, but if I ever look in the area again, Compass will be my go-to. They took me out to the shop to show me what will be needed. I was only there for half an hour or so and they did not want any payment. They just said being good and kind and honest is what will bring people in. 5 out of 5 stars and would 1000 percent go back.

The service is quick & thorough- more importantly for someone thoroughly unmechanical such as myself, the owner Kevin explains the procedures & costs in great detail,and works with me to make a plan . If there was such a thing as an 11 out of 10 rating, I would give it to Compass.

I didn’t even have service done from Compass Automotive Group — I bought a project car from someone else here in New York. But when I needed help with it, the owner of Compass stepped in and helped us out, expecting absolutely nothing in return. That kind of genuine, selfless support is incredibly rare. The owner was honest, knowledgeable, and truly just wanted to help. You can tell he runs his business with integrity and cares about people, not just profits. Never leave reviews of places, but this hands down is the best shop I've ever been to. Got quoted a new front diff (5.5k) by another mechanic shop and went to compass for a second opinion. Guys were really honest and knowledgeable about my car and gave me a fair quote and said I didn't need a front diff, I just shot out fluid from over heating. They went over the top with service and were fully transparent with everything and kept me fully involved with everything going with the car. Couldn't recommend a better shop to anyone else, especially with jeep wrangler.

I visited this shop after getting more than one dozen thumbs up for these guys. I interacted with Kevin, and he has been remarkable to deal with. I moved into this area recently with everyone and everything being perfectly new. It has been overwhelming. My car needed urgent attention as well, and Kevin and his team were able to address the primary issue satisfactorily. Kevin did explain what, why, and how before touching the car and while delivering it. I strongly recommend these guys. You won't be disappointed. They are not the cheapest in town, but they are worth it. Can't make any compromise when it comes to our rides. So, make wise decision while choosing the right mechanic over their rate. Since they are good, they have quite the workload. I strongly recommend making an appointment with them. I wish you guys the very best.

I would recommend them to anyone!! They are friendly and do excellent work in a timely manner their are very knowledgeable and have no problem explaining things to you if you have any questions plus their very reasonable with their prices they are the best garage I've found in a long time !

If I could give 0 stars I would. They had my truck for months for a new timing chain and caused catastrophic damage to my engine by improperly re using torqued bolts that are not reusable, per Ford. Thier ability to communicate was aweful I was constantly chasing them down for updates while I watched other cars go in and out of the shop while mine sat there rotting. It was there so long, sitting on gravel, the exaust system, emergency brake cables, spare tire mount and lock, and rocker panels rotted away. Finally took it to Ford and they found the crank was destroyed due to them not properly replacing the torqued crankshaft timing gear bolt, a simple sub $20 part. All said and done it cost me over 16k and Compass refunded me nothing and took no responsibility for the improperly work and resultant engine failure.

Was looking for a new mechanic, scheduled service for the first time here for a water pump & serpentine belt replacement. Work was completed very quickly, and the price was great. Will be going back!

Kevin (Owner), Danny, Adam these guys deserve more than 5 stars!! I have had nothing but quality experiences with Compass Automotive. I bring 3 vehicles to Compass Automotive and drive 40 mins to Compass Automotive because they are such a trustworthy business. I’m very cautious on who I allow to work on my vehicles because it's so hard to find a reliable and trustworthy mechanic. I highly recommend you use Compass Automotive and you will see why Kevin’s Business is the best!

Can’t recommend Kevin and his team enough. They’ve had my Jeep in there multiple times now and they always do a quality job in the time they quoted. Kevin went through and personally curated multiple quotes for different systems and options and made it a very easy process even when faced with adversities like seals leaking in re install or seized bolts , very forthcoming and honest from the start . Nothing to complain about I’ve always been taken of.

Amazing service, Kevin, Dan, and the guys worked hard on diagnosis and repairs and made sure the truck was up and running for me to pick up right away. Very honest work and would recommend everyone go to these guys if not to get repairs then to shake their hand and thank them for their work and characters.

I heard about this company from a buddy who got his Jeep Wrangler upgraded here. These guys are the pros and showed amazing communication skills. The guys there are filled with lots of knowledge on any vehicle questions and are great people to have a general conversation with. My experience with Compass Automotive Group started when I first contacted them on Tuesday June 23 regarding an Air Conditioner Recharge. The phone call was handled with professionalism. Kevin gave me a call back and clearly explained to me the process for recharging my air conditioning. We're having 90 plus degrees weather all these days and Kevin did not take advantage by giving me higher price for the AC recharge. Nowadays is difficult to find honest people and I did find it at Compass Automotive Group. They do all type work from TPMS programming to major mechanical work. The shop was clean and very spacious so you'r not afraid that your car will get scratch. I have to agree with everyone in the previous reviews that Kevin is the guy to go. Thank you for your great service.

Recently had a lift kit installed and gears changed on my pickup truck here, and to say the least, Kevin from Compass Automotive is a master at work. I could not be happier with the results, the truck rides better than it did from the factory, and following Kevin's advice with the gearing has resulted in my truck having tons of power and better mileage. Kevin is very knowledgable in his trade, he quickly answered all of my questions and explained to me precisely how everything worked every step of the way. He was very straightforward and honest when it came to pricing, and immediately I knew no time would be wasted at my expense. By definition, Kevin is a true professional. My car's alternator and battery completely failed just as I pulled into the shop. Kevin was able to get my car back up and running in quick time and at a great price. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, thoroughly explaining the car's issues and repair options to me as well as some honest advice for other automotive concerns. I highly recommend his shop and I'll be coming back for future automotive needs.
