I went last minute to try and figure out some issues I was having with my truck and Tony’s took me in right away and helped me figure it out! His son’s salsa he sells in the store is also amazing!!! Super flavor and has a good kick! Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely buy more!

Does not care about customers and damaged my husbands vehicle. Definitely not letting this place fix it. I also saw how he treated another customer smh… My family will never go here again.

This is their response to someone sharing their (awful) experience. Disgusting. JR clearly isnt capable of handling himself like an adult.

EDIT: When I took my complaint to the community after the business failed to take my complaint seriously, tony jr doubled down on being disrespectful and calling the community "Cheap" when this shop cant compete with an apprentice when it comes to mechanics and quality of work. I needed a tired mounted and balanced, so I called Tony's in edgewood today to find out about the price and if he did the service, (since he could not change a set of tires on my 72 mustang a few years back) well he did not answer my question whatsoever and told me "If you have to call me to ask then you don't have enough money for my services." And hung up on me! I just thought everyone in the community would love to know how Tony feels about us as his customers and as a community it's seems. Very disrespectful attitude coming from the man that does the poorest, slowest work in all of the east mountains.

Great service. Very friendly. This is the 3rd generation working in this shop. They know what they're doing!

This shop is uneducated and charge way too much. We brought in a perfectly functioning vehicle for a basic safety checkup and to have a new battery installed and left with a vehicle that no longer ran 9/10 times. We were charged $670 for diagnosis and for the shop to tell us that we needed a $2,000 repair that might not even work to fix our car. We took it to another mechanic who fixed the car in under 5 minutes and didn't charge us a dime because the only issue was that Tony's didn't tighten the battery cables onto the new battery they installed. We talked to Tony's about it and instead of admitting their fault and making amends they were extremely rude and refused to even admit what they had done. I'm blown away by their lack of education and personal responsibility.

I was traveling to Arizona on I 40 when my truck developed engine trouble. I pulled in to a gas station and asked about a mechanic nearby. The lady directed me to Tony's across the street. This was on a Friday morning and I was not optimistic about getting it taken care of right away. But Tony Jr. did take me right away and 3 hours later I was on my way again. This is a family run business and I can't say enough good things about them.

I was looking for a good mechanic since my family and I are fairly new in the east mountains. So I took my car to toney Jr to re charge my air conditioner because it had went out. I left my car for the day. When I picked it up, toney said he couldn't charge the system because the compressor went out. It's a older car I get that.he still charged me over $100 to do what he did. I should of popped the hood and checked, but I got in to leave. Asap after I started my car and went to drive away my lights came on and I lost all power. I got it off the road and popped the hood. The belt had been ripped to Shreds and was all over under the hood. I got the car right back and showed toney. He charged me another $100 for a belt he had ruined in the 1st place. I had to borrow that money. I finally left and took the car out of town. The next day toney called me up and said I needed to bring the car back because he forgot to Tighten the belt. (Really) so I took the car to him. When I pulled up I got an important phone call. So he did what he did while I was on the phone. He said I was good so I left. The car started making a bad noise after I left. I took it back again and this time I talked to the older man toney. He looked at the car heard the noise and told me to bring it back the next day. The next morning before work, I dropped it off and walked to work. At lunch I went to check on my car. It was sitting there but toney sr was not there. When I asked where he was, if I could talk to him, toney Jr and other people said he was gone and they started being mean and laughing at me. So I walked away hearing them talk crap and laughing still. After work I went back. This time I walked over and talked to toney sr. He said that my car had leaked oil everywhere and he had to put a new oil filter on without even calling me or letting Me know. When I was questioning him because it was not making sense. Next thing I know I'm being surrounded bye toney Jr and some friends he had there. I held my ground, and they all were yelling at me and telling how I ruin cars for a living, and getting in my face threatening me. They would not let me have my keys till I payed for a cheap oil filter that is way over priced. So I did. The hole time being surrounded and yelled at. As I was leaving all of them toney Jr in the front flipping me off and cussing me out. Now as I was leaving my car has a really bad noise now, no oil, the power steering is leaking really bad. I had to park my car because I can't drive it like that. It was a really good car with no leaks or problems till I took it to toney Jr. I used that car to go out out town to my Dr appt. Take our kids to school and work. After this I couldn't do any of that. I was really needing help and I got screwed bye this place in more than one way. This is one of the most unfriendly places I have ever went. I don't understand how tony's is still in business after breaking cars and ripping people off that go to them for help, and threaten a person the way they did.we are a family of 13 and this almost ruined us. Its hard enough trying to make ends met without people like toney and his family takeing advantage of people and ripped them off. We used that car for the smaller children because it was the best and safest car for them.this hurt us in more ways than I care to say. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING ANYTHING TO TONY'S FOR REPAIRS. Help spread awareness please!!!!!!!!! Thank you tony's

Tony is a very knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic, and has helped keep our cars in good running condition for several years. Highly recommended!

I debated writing this. Because I like Tony Senior, he's a very nice man. Everyone I've talked to recommends this place for less expensive quotes compared to other mechanics and good work. However, when I stripped an oil pan drain plug and needed it replaced. I bought a new plug, but I didn't have the tools needed to take out the stripped nut. Easy two second fix. So, I went there first. Tony Jr. tells me he could change the oil while it's up in the air. I supplied the oil and filter, so I said sure, thanks! Save me 20 minutes(oil and filter were 23.00 dollars, nut was 8.00 dollars, now I'm in this for 31.00 dollars myself). I get home and had a feeling something was wrong. I checked the work, and my oil was overfilled by almost a quart. I gave him a 5.1-quart bottle, my vehicle calls for 4.2 - 4.4 quarts. Dip stick showed an inch higher out of the designated "safe" zone. He just poured it all in there without doing a 2 second check for quantity or asking me. Then when I went to drain the excess oil to save my motor the strain or damage, the oil pan nut was on the verge of falling out before I touched it. luckily it hung on by the O-ring to the threading. If I had driven any further than home, I would have lost the nut and oil. In the end I was charged $72.00 dollars for this after tax! Yea, and I supplied the oil, oil nut, and filter. I was only there for maybe 10 minutes. So $103 dollars in this, for something that could have damaged my engine. Either he didn't like me, or was drunk, or was having a very bad day; cause a mechanic generally won't make those kinds of mistakes.....he will know by this post who I am, so I guess I'll be going elsewhere from now on....it's unfortunate, but I can't afford to lose my daily driver to a simple oversight.

We had some large bolts to remove from a backhoe hydraulic ram. Used Tony's air impact tool. Needed some heat on the bolt to soften the LockTite on the bolt threads. Tried impact wrench again and was successful at loosening the bolt. Tony spent a little more time and effort than we planned. Tony was very gracious and patient with us during his efforts to help us. We have found a service provider that truly knows the meaning of "service". We will use Tony's service in the future.

I visited Tony's service center because my passenger rear wheel was grinding. They lifted it up and found out the reason why my tire was grinding really quickly. Turns out one bolt was loose on my caliper and the other was completely MISSING! The last mechanic I took it to was big o tires! The people at Tony's were polite and patient. 5 stars!!!

This is a terrific family run place! I had a front driveshaft fail on my way back to Texas from Utah. It happened to break right at their exit so I was very lucky. I told them my situation and they took care of me right away and really saved me a lot of trouble. I was only off the road for a little over an hour. Great people!

Came to Edgewood on my way to Cincinnati with bad rear brakes and needed (or so I thought) new rear rotors. I also needed an oil change. Tony was fantastic. A real blessing to me. I dropped my car off at 11am. He told me it was possible that he would be done by the afternoon, but for sure the next morning. Turned out I needed rear brake pads but only one rotor! I was shocked he didn’t replace both rotors. He could have done that, but he didn’t. I think his honesty speaks volumes. He and his son chauffeured me to and from my hotel. The price of having the work done was more than fair. And having it done the same day… well, where does that happen? While I’m not certain where the folks in Edgewood get their water, I didn’t encounter one rude person. It’s a cool little town. And if you break down there, you can expect to see kindness and unwavering compassion. Tony, Tony Jr, and Nicholas were a big part of that.

My fiancé and I are road tripping back home to North Carolina after driving out to the Grand Canyon and Utah for several days, and at about 1am this morning our Jeep started shaking really badly when accelerating. We made it to a hotel in Edgewood and asked for a mechanic recommendation from the front desk staff and one lady mentioned Tony's, so that's where we went as soon as they opened. They were busy already but took us in regardless, and had us back on the road within a few hours. It's a family owned business and everyone was incredibly down to earth and an absolute pleasure. We couldn't be more grateful for their help and friendless, and in addition to replacing our spark plugs, they cleaned our filthy windshield. I couldn't recommend them more.

We lost a wheel in one of this states giant pot holes. Tony and his son got our car fixed fast and charged a fair price. The service at this little three generation shop is second to none. Thanks guys. Definitely recommend these guys.

My brother and I took his ford focus in to get a new tire and rim and a brake replacement we bought all the brake parts in the service still cost us nearly 500 bucks in total. All the good reviews are from people who knows he's he was actually very rude to us and overcharged us my brother called around to get other quotes for the job it wasn't going to cost any more than $100 to 200 bucks Max and that's what the mobile mechanic coming all the way out from Albuquerque to do the brakes. We knew the tire would be pricey tire and rim and we were anticipating that being about 150 but the break should not have cost anymore then 150. Awful don't go to this guy. He took advantage of my brother needing his car fast for his work and we have a disabled mother that we needed to get around. A few years ago I worked for a delivery company needing a tire plug or fixed real quick and he was super rude to me and was charging me twice as much as a normal place so I didn not get my tire fixed there. Bad service.

Tony was wonderful. I had an acceleration issue and got Tony to take a look. His vast knowledge of mechanics is incredible. He got me back on the road home as I traveled through New Mexico. Thank you so much Tony!

I took my car for a/c service. The staff was professional and quoted me a good price. I was impressed with their commitment to only install high quality parts. Their labor estimate was very fair, in my opinion. Unfortunately I had something come up and won't be able to have the work done until early next year, but I will bring it here at that point.

Found out I had a cracked rim. He didn't have my size, so he patched it up the best he could. It wasn't perfect, but I made it to Missouri with it. He did what no other place offered and was reasonably priced. They were all friendly. If I'm in the area and have tire problems I definitely will go back. Thank you guys!

A car rear-ended me. Took my car to tony's because of same church affiliation. Tony said he would order a rear bumper kit with tail lights. I kept calling over several weeks until finally the female clerk said NOT to call because They would call me when part came in! Tony did Not call & I had beem lied to AND my car Not repaired altho the Driver who caused crash was ready to pay for damage! Been over a Year - NO CALL from Tony My car never got fixed and more consequence I had to pay! I never took my car back and will never do business with Tony again. I used to fill my gas tank there and regular services - but I got burned! Mrs Byers!

A friend of mine, Madison, took her car, a 2016 Mazda 6, to Tony's shop to have a simple belt replacement taken care of. This car was in great shape. Less than 80K miles on it. Her dad has taken care of all the maintenance since he bought the car. It was in perfect running order except for the belt. Tony's charged her $50 for the belt replacement and Madison picked the car up later that day. Within 10 minutes of leaving the shop the car threw the belt that Tony Sr. just replaced. When it threw the belt the car overheated and Madison pulled over. Madison took the car back to Tony's shop. Tony Sr. told her that apparently all of the old belt was not cleaned from the pulley and that is why the new belt got thrown. Well when the new belt was thrown it destroyed the timing seal. Tony Sr. then tells Madison that "she" will have to pay for the additional repairs. She was told it would be no more than $80. When she went to pick up the car, nearly a week later, she was charged $141. Not only should this not have cost Madison an extra dime since Tony's Sr. admitted that all the old belt wasn't cleaned from the pulley, they then extort more money from her by holding the car hostage until payment is made. They made rude commits like, "You shouldn't own a car unless you can afford the repairs". They called her a liar about the $80 statement. I know for a fact that there were 2 witnesses, in person, that Tony Sr. made this statement. Her Dad was on the phone with Madison when the statement was made and he heard it as well. When Madison tried to explain all of this to Tony Jr. he claimed to not understand why Madison was so upset. He took his fathers side when Tony Jr. was nowhere around when any of this took place. They took advantage of this 18 year old young woman. Simply put Tony Sr. can be proven to be a LIAR. Tony Jr. will blindly support his father regardless of the facts. Both will extort money and take advantage of young woman and their cars.

We have used Tony's for 17 years now. Both Tony's are friendly and knowledgeable. Every repair has been completed correctly the first time. The estimates are dead on. Pricing is excellent. Well done !!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of falling apart just a few miles from Tony’s Service Center. Tony was fair, outstandingly considerate, and we believe him to be the most knowledgeable mechanic we’ve encountered. If there was a way to have maintenance done on our 05 CAD CTS solely performed by Tony we would be honored! We plan to visit him during our next road trip whether we need repairs or not. Our day could have ended drastically different, with unforeseen trouble were it not for him and his company.

While traveling through NM recently, I called Triple A to have my 1985 Chevy G20 RV Van towed for repair... the Auto & RV location they had me delivered to was going to charge over $106 per hour and 1-5 day wait for what I thought might be a clogged fuel filter or bad gas concern... they rudely told me to take it elsewhere when I insisted my Chevy G20 was really just an auto not a regular RV... So the tow truck driver and I headed down the road to Tony's Service Center where the experience could not have been more opposite and in fact the best experience I've ever had on the road with a mechanic that did not already know me! Although they were actually closing up shop when we arrived, the owner helped get my rig situated off the tow truck, offered me some info about the town, wanted to be sure I'd be safe and warm that night and said he'd be back in the morning at 8am. By 8:30 the next morning he was working on my G20, it was indeed the fuel filter! That done, he took it on a very long test drive and determined the gas pedal spring was too heavy so replaced that to make stepping on the gas less of a chore, he also fixed my horn which had come apart from the steering wheel. Both secondary items had not been on my list of immediate concerns but obviously needed repair and made a huge difference on the safety and ease of driving my vehicle, for the better! I will always trust the attentive experience of a mechanic that's been working on rigs for 47 years over anything I might imagine it needs! I was given the invoice, total was less than $50... which was a real surprise based on the other quote before coming to this shop! I paid and was on my way by 10:30 AM. Not only was the service quick and not only did he check out other things that needed work, thank goodness... Tony Sr and also his son Tony were both very friendly. SR isn't big on conversation but definitely made me aware of what was going on, including showing me how to change the filter myself if it should happen again while I'm on the road! I super appreciate that! I feel so blessed that things turned out the way they did and that we ended up at Tony's Service Center! I feel like I've made friends of both Tony SR and Tony Jr in the time I was there. Their helpfulness and concern for my safety on the road is also greatly appreciated! When I was leaving, they all wished me well and a safe journey, Tony Sr. even gave me a hug and told me to let them know how I was doing! Thanks again for a really great experience, I've shared it all with the Facebook group I am a member of, in the hopes that if any of them travel through Edgewood NM and need some mechanical help, they'll look to Tony's Service Center to fulfill their needs!
