Lake Roberts in
Silver City (NM)

Absolutely gorgeous!

Great spot for fishing and the drive in from silver city is full of curves and beautiful scenery.

It was nice can't swim & the lack of trash cans is frustrating but overall beautiful

Beautiful, relaxing area with plenty of other activities to get into with the surrounding locations. Camping. Hiking. Water activities. Stars at night brightly shining. Wildlife. Safe to say I enjoyed it…

nice enough lake... no services, at all... nothing open on a monday within many miles... we enjoyed the sticker collection on the railing at the overlook....

Lake is beautiful during the winter and spring. Not crowded at all. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful drive and beautiful lake only down side is it is a fishing ONLY lake. No getting in the water at all.

A great place to hang out with the kiddos. They enjoyed fishing. And they caught a few frogs and small trout!

A very nice and quite lake in Southern New Mexico. Seems to be a popular fishing spot. We stayed at the Mesa Campround just above the lake.

Very clean and beautiful lake

Beautiful place in the mountains. We saw a number of people canoeing and fishing there. At night the Milkyway came up with all it’s glory. Serene lake.
The roads leading up to the place from I-25 are winding and a little sketchy at places. We had to wait as the cops were pulling out a truck from the steep drop next to the road. There was a fatal accident there a week earlier. So drive safe.

This is primarily a boating laking. We say this because there was not a lot shoreline where you could fish. But if you want a picnic lunch stop, this is a beautiful lake.

Caught monster rainbow trout there and also seen some elk on the road as well as some rain..

I would recommend New Mexico parks and wildlife to add a cellphone antenna for visitors.
Also a
Fishing Boat / fishing kayaks and benches all over the trail in front of the lake so people can fish.

It would bring in $$$$$

Excellent Lake for fishing and picnic. No swimming or camping allowed. 2 nice campgrounds nearby.

Excellent weather. Awesome people.

Traveling through, we stopped and enjoyed the lake. We purchased online day fishing passes since the store was closed. People around the lake were friendly. Many walking trails gave a wide variety of paths to explore. Many ducks to watch and enjoy. People were catching trout and happy the day was warm.

Absolutely beautiful and fun lake..

Beautiful mountain lake. Great scenery. Great birding, which is why I always go there. Lots of traffic on the weekends. Lots of people who don't know how to throw trash away, unfortunately.

Relaxing Sunday drive if you come in from Mimbres. Clean nice picnic areas .

Beautiful lake My family had a great time. We even seen a water snake.

Awesome view. Plenty of photo opportunities. You may do some fishing. There's a fountain to clean up your catch. Clean facilities. Nice enough to make a day out of it. Bait and tackle nearby. Lovely trails to go hiking around the lake.

Lake is clean, accessible, and well maintained. This is always a favorite place to fish and explore when we're in the area visiting.
