Beyond grateful to James and the team at JD Automotive! I came in needing rear brakes and wanted the assurance that OEM-quality parts would be used. Even though the shop was fully booked until after Labor Day, James empathized with my situation and told me to drop off my car - promising it would be serviced the very same day. And he delivered!

JD Automotive had been highly recommended to me, and now I see why. This family-owned shop truly takes care of its customers, and I’ll be happy to return for future service. Plus, Reese, the 2-year-old pup, who comes to work everyday, makes the visit even better!

My car broke down on I-80 heading toward the city. I lucked out that it broke down where it did because JD Automotive & Truck was the closest shop. These guys were awesome! Got my car in and fixed right away when I needed it most. Was able to make my family reunion just in time thanks to them going out of their way on a Saturday to pick up the part I needed. Above and beyond! Hope I never break down in Dover like that again. But I know where to go if I do.

One thing I like about a bad day is a smooth transaction. lol.
After having a blowout on the highway on my way to work AAA recommended them so I gave these guys a call and they got it done. Great customer service from beginning to end. I got a tire that fit my budget and needs.

Been going to JD Automotive for 7 or 8 years. James and the whole team are top-notch! Their communication is excellent, and the quality of their work is always superb.

Over the years, they’ve worked on every car I’ve owned—handling everything from routine oil changes and alignments to complex timing chain jobs on European cars. They’re always extremely honest and communicative about what needs immediate attention and what can wait. Their quotes are fair and accurate, both in terms of cost and timing. Plus, they provide very thorough insight into the work being done and explain issues in a way anyone can understand.

AAA towed my car here. I was a bit nervous because i never had work done here. I gave a good review before looking at the work done. The hose cap that was supposed to be replaced was not connected and didn't fit. I paid over $200 for the wrong part to be put in. In other words, I got scammed. It would be blatantly obvious to whoever put it on. The shop replied to this review and lied about the car never coming here. Double reason to not trust them. I looked at the photos and it definitely was this shop with that dog. If you don't want bad reviews, don't do bad jobs. To be honest, everyone seemed nice and all but that doesn't change the fact that I had bad work done here that was obvious to whoever did the work. This is not an accident or a mistake. This is taking money and intentionally doing bad work. Not cool. Do not go here. There are of shops in the area.

My local AAA website recommended this amazing automotive and truck business and I could not be happier with the work performed.

James and his team made a great first impression. They clearly explained the services needed, recommended, and then provided.

Communications in person and over the phone were clear and timely. James is friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I am grateful that I found his business and will continue to bring my cars to him when they need service.

It's easy to understand why their reviews are so good once you go here. They have excellent customer service, fast repair times, and great quotes on your repairs. Coming here made a usually stressful situation effortless.

I found this place through the AAA app when my car had to be towed. I knew nothing about the business except that they were in contract with AAA. When I called, I spoke with a very nice woman who who gave me information and reassurance. When I arrived, I met the son of the owner who seems to pretty much run the show. He was extremely polite and organized. I needed my tires replaced after 2 blew out. They were able to get me in and out within less than 24 hours. There was some wait time the day after my car was dropped off (anticipated it would be done at 8:30, but it did not get done until 11:30), BUT THIS WAS NOT NECESSARILY THEIR FAULT. There was an issue when they did the alignment which had to do with my car-NOT THE STAFF. They also comped my alignment to apologize for the wait time! Everyone there, including the mechanics, were pleasant and friendly and walked around with a smile on their faces. It was such a refreshing sight! I love that the owner's son brings his adorable and sweet dog to the shop as well! It made my wait time more enjoyable. I should also mention that they were reasonably priced and did not try to sell me on things I didn't need. A really positive experience and I plan to recommend them and use them again in the future!! I needed a new car battery in which Triple AAA was unable to replace due to the make and model of my car. I called this morning and James was So Pleasant, Friendly and quite accommodating in getting me in the very same day. Things were done in a timely manner. James is Very Knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and explained everything. Highly recommend this place.

In need of a good diesel mechanic, a coworker referred me to JD Auto & Truck, and I am so glad he did. I have been a customer of theirs for several years now, and I wouldn’t trust my vehicle with anyone else. James and the staff are fantastic! After bringing my truck multiple places for an AC issue and no solutions. I came to J D and dropped it off. Customer service was excellent and James J.R assured me they will figure it out. After only 3 hours they had found the problem. I can’t thank them enough for fixing the issue. They had my truck back to me in 2 days total. Don’t even get me started on the price. I was SHOCKED with how affordable it was. Make them your first option. You won’t be disappointed!

Once again, JD Automotive did a great job on my 2017 VW Tiguan - better than my local dealer. Always a fair price and they don't try to do unnecessary work. Best of all, they do it right the first time.

Brought car in for a wheel alignment. Told me how long to perform and completed as planned. Staff very friendlyand helpful. Could not have had a better experience . Will definitely come again for other car services.

My company vehicle is serviced here. Make an appointment for service. James will set your appointment up and answer any questions you have when you call. The front office has seating and keep very clean. They will advise any additional work needed to make sure your vehicle is road ready.

My 2004 Honda Oddysey broke down on the highway, and I had it towed to JD Auto. Although it needed a new transmission and I decided to junk the car, they were very pleasant to deal with and they were very nice about me leaving my car in their lot for a few days until it got picked up. I would definitely recommend!

Took my Honda Civic to JD since I heard this place had such a great reputation and I must say I was very happy with the work done to my car. I had many problems with my thermostat and my other mechanic could not figure out why the thermostats were failing. I thought I was getting bamboozled by my other mechanic but JD Automotive found out what was wrong with the car and explained all the repairs they made to my car. I will be bringing my car back and was very satisfied with the great costumer service and work done to my car. I see why this place gets so much business. A++ owner and staff.

They were not my first choice for performing a state inspection. But the business I picked was unable to honor the appointment. I picked MotorPro Auto Repair because they were closer to my house.

But when they failed, I drove to J.D. and made an appointment for the very next day - today.

I arrive at 12:58pm for my 1:00pm appointment. They were clearly busy (they repair trucks too) and so I felt like small potatoes. Still by 1:45 I had paid my bill - the inspection was done, and they even replaced a brake light.

This business clearly is busy (and so successful) but they were attentive and kept their promise.

So... if not committed to dealer service because of a warranty, I suggest you give them a try.

JD Automotive was truly a top notch experience and organization. They were up front about what was needed, were spot on with estimates provided beforehand, and were openly transparent about what we could and should expect. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an automotive repair / maintenance partner.

If you at all have a heavy duty diesel truck and need work done to the specifics you provided, look no further. You know how hard it is to get a shop to do custom work on a vehicle to your specifications. These guys can think and problem solve, just not throw the wrench in the air and say, nope can't be done. If humans built it, you can fix it. That's the vibe i get from them.

Are they cheap, definitely not. Do they do a great job and provide a fair value, A resounding yes. They are professional, upfront and courteous. Take your vehicle to them and get it done right the first time. Spend once, cry once... And they stand up for their work. I had to go back for an issue on my 1997 Ford diesel van and they fixed it on their dime. Gold standard in NJ

I had to take my wife's car to be serviced for an AC issue today. Called the dealer that we purchased the vehicle and they wanted $200 just to run diagnostics on the car. After doing research I found J D Automotive & Truck with good google reviews. It was easy to make an appointment with them. I was called once my service was done so we could pick up the car with the issue resolved in only 2 hours. They also did an oil change after initial service was done per my request. Staff comes across and polite and professional. The prices are reasonable and fair for the work that is being done. Hopefully we do not have any need to return to any garage for service any time soon but if we do I would bring my car back here again.

What a great experience. We went in on a Saturday and asked to have my car inspected and found my forever place. While there, I overheard a customer explain that she needed $1200 in repairs, as told by another mechanic. The kind owner said he fixed the issue with a $4.00 part. It made me warm and fuzzy inside because you don’t see that kind of honesty these days.

JD Auto and Truck provides reliable, great service. I know, when I make an appointment, they aren't going to try and sell me something I don't need. I can trust them and that's important to me. Their waiting room is humble, but they offer coffee and they have wifi. If your repair is going to take a while, they can offer you a local ride so you can avoid hanging out there all day. Bottom line is they're friendly, honest, hard working auto mechanic's who know what they're doing and isn't that what we're all looking for?

Everyone here is very knowledgeable, they have state of the art facility. Plus all of their mechanics are highly experienced with top certifications. Their front desk Nick is very patient and friendly. They can find any problem and you can trust everyone here to make sure your vehicle is in the best hands possible.

I have to say that Nick and his crew were just fantastic. I asked them to check out a vehicle for me and they were a) very thorough b) very honest.

These guys seem very sharp and trustworthy and I would definitely recommend them!!!!

Also, you could tell his crew members were hard workers and took pride in what they did. You don't see that at too many auto places these days, especially the chain auto repair places.

My dad has been a client of J.D. Automotive for over about 20 years and it continues to be the only facility I'll take my car to.
