Southern Ocean County Recycling Center in
Manahawkin (NJ)

Visited this facility to dispose of paint and motor oil, and asked for assistance and associate shrugged shoulders and was rude. I had not visited before and needed help. Not a great experience.

I love that this place will take almost anything but hours of operation are wrong on google. They are open Monday-Saturday 7:30-3:00.

When I called the automated system says open to residents of ocean county. When I pulled up a very nasty individual greeted me outside and ask me where I am from. I told him I’m a resident of ocean county (with my license as proof) and he literally told me to leave and to go take it to my home town? I will never return and I will be informing everyone I know to leave a 1 star review. I’ll be just as petty as southern recycling center. Go to little egg and save your self the trouble.

The Stafford recycle center for yard waste is first class and run very efficiently..

Terrible setup. They put the handicap parking as the FURTHEST spot from the recycle bins. The handicap spot is the ONLY place there is a sidewalk cut for a WHEELCHAIR. Typical government facility... no logical setup.

They take paint cans with paint! And they’re pleasant!
