Absolutely stay away from any AC related issues, they are clueless, irresponsible, expensive and clueless. Spent thousands of dollars and my AC wasn’t fixed, they told me to go kick rocks.
My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Bayshore Auto for many years and have always received exceptional service. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable and kind. John, Dan and Gene are my go to people for when it comes to explaining our best options they always make sure we are taken care of.
My daughter and I were having trouble closing her hood. We stopped at the closet place we could find and we were so happy it was bayshore services!!!! They are definitely stand up guys! We greatly appreciate the help!
We dropped our truck off Wednesday, drove by Thursday night during a terrible storm and saw the driver window was wide open. We came back with our spare key to find the keys in the ignition. We've been using them for years and im shocked by this. Not to mention its 4th of July friday so they're not open tomorrow. It would've been open all day and night. Unbelievable

These guys are the best!! I brought my Subaru in to have the brakes checked. My car had also been getting louder, and I didn't realize it was actually one of the wheel bearings. I didn't have an appointment, and it was a federal holiday, so I'm sure they had a busy day in store. But they took my car in, and within a short time let me know exactly what was wrong and what was needed to fix it. They had my car up and running the very next day, much quicker than I would've expected. They were very professional and thorough, explained everything in a way I could understand. I would definitely recommend this crew to anyone looking for competent, trustworthy mechanics in the Bayshore area.
They do great work here at an awesome price. The owner and staff are pretty great, knowledgeable and helpful. We have 4 cars in our family that go only here and wouldn't reccomend anywhere else for servicing. In addition, as a woman I have unfortunately felt very singled out and taken advantage of at other auto bodies. Not this place! Very kind and they treat you like family. Thank you Bayshore Auto!
Started with an oil change and a noise issue when driving. Gene listened to my explanation of what I was hearing and took the time to check everything to rule out a mechanical issue. New tires rectified the problem. I highly recommend Bayshore Auto!
Bayshore Auto was recommended by a family member who was recommended by another family member. They do the repairs that are needed at the right price. If they can't fix it, they'll recommend someone who can. I recommend that you bring your car to Bayshore Auto.

Avoid this irresponsible auto shop for your own sake! My car was towed the other day, 4 minutes driving distance with the towing fee of 260 dollars and damaged my car. When I picked it up today, the bonnet was not closed, and when I was wondering and asking, then he told me do not park in his field and urged me to leave without giving me an answer. When I got back, I found more damages on the side doors and my interior parts, I called him but he didn't care. When I asking if he is going to fix the damage or not, he didn't reply and just left the phone. If you dont want the scratches then better dont go there.
I am a retired editor of a newspaper from New York City and live in Lakewood, NJ. When I told about my car problems to my neighbor, Frank and the price quotation I was getting from neighborhood garages, he told me to go his friend John at Bayshore Auto in Keyport, NJ, whom he described as honest.
Car repair dealership and honest? I found it difficult to believe hence was there two hours back with problems of leaky sunroof, malfunctioning air conditioner and a request to check fluids and tire pressure.
After working on the car for a little more than half an hour Jean and John told me that I would be better off repairing the sunroof by myself and thus save money. They explained to me what is to be done. The compressor had to be replaced and in view of the age of the car, it was not worth spending on it. They checked the fluids and car pressure.
Then came the surprise: no charge. Hard to believe that there are honest people like the ones at Bayshore Auto still around.

Very professional and efficient. Only place I'll go for work to my car. Routine oil change and inspection. Was told an hour and half hour later, done and out the door.
We have been going here for almost a decade. Very friendly and professional. My daughter's car is 20 years old and I trust this business with her car and keeping it going. My truck has been serviced there for about 4 years. It is approaching 170,000 miles and I'm not even close to looking at new trucks. Prices are fair and reasonable, everything is explained before the work and it's your option to go forward. I enjoy the employees and the service, the team is great and trusted.
A couple of years ago, the dealer told my wife she needed new brakes and rotors on all 4 wheels. Went to Bayshore Auto for a second opinion, and guess what, we only needed front brake pads, no rears or rotors. Since then, it's the only place we bring our cars. They are honest, professional, and do what they promise, and these days, that's saying a lot. I trust Bayshore Auto with both our cars, and would highly recommend them. Support a local business, and get honest and quality work.

We’ve been going to Bayshore forever, and as long as they’re still there we’ll NEVER go anywhere else!!! They’re HONEST, which is impossible to find these days, especially if you’re a woman (the dealerships are absolutely criminal!). They know what they’re doing (they NEVER misdiagnose and cost you extra money) and they ALWAYS fix it RIGHT. Their prices are reasonable and they never take advantage (if you don’t know what it should cost). And they don’t take your car and let it sit there for days (or weeks!) until they “get to it” - when they say it’ll be ready, it WILL be. Plus they’re nice, too! I can’t recommend them enough.
realized my car inspection was 2 months expired. called Bayshore Auto to see how soon they could take me - they said right now! within an hour I realized I needed my vehicle inspected, got it inspected at Bayshore Auto, then was back home. very good experience.

Started using Bayshore at the suggestion of my roommate and her mother. They have since become my primary mechanic for car troubles. Their prices are reasonable, they do good work, and they communicate well for the most part. Very personable. Occasionally, I'll need to call them for an update, but they're typically good about calling me first. And their location is very convenient for where I live. They're also willing to be a little flexible with their hours - not to the point where they'll stay open well past closing time, but someone has waited a few minutes past closing before for me to get there so I could pay and pick up my car because I was unable to get there any earlier, and it's greatly appreciated that they did so.
Just moved back to this area not too long ago and found Bayshore Auto. They are Very professional and go out of their way for you. They provide quality service at the right price. No unnecessary repairs or selling of unnecessary services. I have total confidence when I leave with my vehicle that the vehicle is safe. Thank you.
I was recommended to Bayshore auto about a year ago by one of my best friends. When I first brought my car in, they noticed my last name & turns out they know my aunt and uncle pretty well also! Great local shop where everybody knows your name.

I just had my first visit with Bayshore Auto Service. From the initial phone call to the handing back of my car keys the experience was one of the best I have ever had in 35 years of driving cars. Each person in the shop that had work done left happy and felt the job was compete. Thanks to Dan at the front and Gene who did the work on my 2005 Toyota for making sure it was safe for my kids to drive while away at college.
I was really impressed with my experience here & highly recommend them. A few months back I was coming from out of town to buy a used car from a private seller & wanted a mechanic to check it out first. I had called around to a couple of shops in the area & although one even offered to do it for free, the description from the owner John of what the pre-purchase check entailed & his straight forward manner made me choose to bring the car here. I immediately knew I had made the right choice when I came in the following day to have the car checked. Not only were they extremely thorough & went over everything about the car with me, they were professional, honest, & just really nice people. Thank you Dan & crew for saving me from making a bad purchase! Great shop, great people. I will def be back & recommend them to everyone.
I cant say I've have taken my vehicle to them so my review is strictly based on the customer service experience I had with them. I wanted to get a used vehicle for sale looked over before I bought it and I was informed by the person at Bayshore that the person selling the car was far from reputable. He said he has no relationship with any seller which was great to hear. But just by what they told me over the phone, a vehicle that I do find, I will definitely take to them to have it looked at as this is the type of relationship anyone would want to have with an auto repair establishment.
