Definitely one of the best if not thee best stores in NJ. Customer service is first class when it comes to professional and getting you the right parts. The associates there are wonderful!
I ordered parts for my brake job, and everything went well. Shortly later I returned the old brake caliper and was given the return credit. Guys here are aces.👍

Bought a battery charger thinking it’s my battery I just purchased, thinking maybe it’s a DOA piece, a new week old battery. I took the car to the mechanics and it wasn’t the battery, it was an electrical wiring issue causing a Parasitic Battery Drain - came back to return the charger to then be told no refunds on electrical products, called their customer service and their offering was - here’s a $20 coupon for next purchase. They need to be more equipped to offer better solutions than that, a store credit, etc something other than sorry no refunds when never advised. If I was told to begin with from the POS that this isn’t refundable then I would understand, wasn’t told anything. I don’t plan on coming back here for any automotive solutions or help. You’re better off going somewhere else, good luck 👍
Absolutely the worst!! Never again am I going to this place. I am a young lady and I went here because I needed a battery for my car key. I went to this place hoping someone would help me guess not the guy said we don’t open keys due to policies. I said okay: I understand but they wouldn’t even tell me which battery would work with my car key. They told me to YouTube on how to open a car key. Never putting a foot in this store.
Louis (I believe that's how you spell his name) is wonderful, so so helpful with installing my battery. He's very professional, kind, and patient with me, especially when I had any questions. The whole store is also very kind and helpful, and always makes me feel welcome. there was also another gentleman named Daniel who helped me with my battery.

My partner brought a pair of hight beam lights. For his car. Ultra Night Vision
At the Advance Auto Parts in Avenel.
They sold him a used bulb. Instead of a new high beam light. It only last 2 months. And that’s wrong!
Unfortunately he didn’t have the receipt.
But, he was promise a 10 rebete. On my email. Which, never came. And all these confrontations numbers. That should of been proof enough.. And I had to use both my number so they can look it up in the system. And nothing came up.. They’re crooks!
The people in the store aren’t good people. The energy was off. I would never go there again..
Along with the stock price, the service at this location has taken a dive. I know it's hard to find solid workers these days, but if u go cheap on your help, then u are doomed to continue with bad results.
Please save yourself the time and hassle and go to a different location. The staff was extremely unprofessional and incapable of providing help or insight surrounding my car battery. To start, 2/3 staff members were on their personal phones when I arrived, one talking and one texting, with other customers in the store. I was having battery issues and asked if they could test my battery and the male staff member dragged his feet out to my car, acting as if it was such a hassle for him to test my battery. He plugged the reader in and gave me a printout and suggested it just needed a charge. He failed to mention that the printout said it needed to be charged in order to give an accurate reading and determine the condition of my battery. I then asked if I could simply replace the battery and again… he acted as if this was a bother and something he could not do. He gave about 3-4 different excuses as to why he couldn’t change the battery for me, each time changing the excuse and pulling at straws, and neither of the other two staff members said they could change it either. Finally, I asked if I could just buy the battery and have someone else replace it. He was of no help the whole time and acted as if I was asking for some extravagant gesture, instead of a service that the company he works for offers. Please do not waste your time here and go somewhere where they can actually perform the services advertised by their company. Extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with the lack of help and knowledge surrounding car batteries, and in general the lack of customer services that was offered.
On Christmas Eve we were expecting to have a rainy, two hour drive and not only did we get the windshield wiper we needed quickly but the staff there were extra kind. Did not expect that on a holiday when so many stores were closed. Greatly appreciated.
Friendly staff! Helped my cousin on 10-4 charge his battery and gave advice on getting his alternator fixed and scheduled appointment for 10-5. Great service! Didn't rush us out due to the time and we really appreciated it! Thank you very much!! Will recommend!
I had an excellent experience in spite of my terrible luck! On Friday Sep 15th 2023, I had my '15 Outback's main battery, an Optima Red Top, suddenly fail. I was far from home, with a very small window to resolve my issue. I had purchased the Optima about a year ago, so the failure was surprising and disappointing. But the staff helped me out tremendously, they quickly tested my battery and determined it was faulty. The battery was then replaced under warranty and I was back up and running!!! If it was not for the kind people at this Advance, I'd still be on the curb, thank you!!!
My life’s WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
I went to return something there in the morning and the guy there tells me they don’t have cash ARE YOU KIDDING ME ) So I went back after few hours later and it looks like few people working there are not only racist BUT ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THEY MADE ME WAIT THERE about 45 minutes this was the first and my last visit to ANY ADVANCED AUTO
I WONT BE giving my business to such companies where the don’t appreciate it

Called to make sure item was in stock & can be installed. When I arrived Staff was pleasant. I needed a new battery for truck & thou at first told couldn’t install. I expressed I called & person who answered assured me it can be. Another associate looked & stated yes they’ll do it. Job was done in 15 minutes without issue & I was on my way!! Thank you! Would definitely shop here again.
The signs for the sales are slightly confusing. Not the locations fault. Also there was a 25% off order coupon if you ordered for a pick up. I was informed by the associates and attempted, but the website couldn't find the items I had selected in store. Again, not the locations fault. Courteous staff
Great place to go when you need any piece. If they don't have it they'll specially order it and even help you figure it all out if you're not mechanically inclined. All the workers seemed helpful and went above and beyond what they had to, especially during the crisis that's going on. And you go to the dealer or you go to an auto body mechanic they're trying to sell you something to make money off labor, a lot of things can be done here with their help for a quarter of the price a dealer would charge you
The staff make this store great. Scott, Alvin, Luis.. Knowledgeable guys. Probably the best auto parts store that I've been to.. And that's saying something because as a veteran mechanic I have been to a LOT of parts stores. This one is THEE best in at least a 15 mile radius.
Excellent service by a nice staff of guys. Been here twice to get a car battery replaced & installed by the staff in the parking lot. Quick and professional service. Great selection of auto detailing wax, parts and anything car related. Parking lot is tricky & could benefit from widening the St George opening. Overall this place is great and you should try it.
