I brought my daughters car in and had questions since I had a warranty company through Carvana. The gentleman took the time to explain the process to me. Before I even walked out the door, he was on the phone, starting out claim. The next day, someone called early afternoon to update me on the status and again once they knew what was and wasn't covered and to confirm pricing. They went out of their way to make sure everything was covered that could be. Great timing, knowledge and communication, as well as super friendly.
After a bunch of places whiffing it on a battery replacement, these guys got it done. As I waited, I observed each of them dealing with tough customers with compassion and professionalism. Bravo!
I've been coming to this Pep Boys location since the 1970s! My dad or uncles would bring me along to pick up car parts when I was a kid. Now I go here to support an important part of the community. This trip was for an oil change and brake pads. Service was done on time and on budget! Great garage.
bought my tires from Amazon and had them installed at Pep Boys. The staff was friendly and professional, and the installation was quick and easy. My car drives much smoother now, and I really appreciated their help. Overall, a good experience.
Every time I get an oil change, I am treated with such kindness, I hardly know I’m at an auto shop. Aaron, in particular, is so helpful and calm that I never worry.
Also, unlike other auto places, they don’t hit me with unnecessary repairs. They will make recommendations for the future, but I never feel pressured. As a woman, I have had this at other auto shops and believe me, I appreciate not being given the “hard sell” or treated like I’m just a “dumb woman”.
If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Be careful with these people. I took my wife’s car in for an oil change and when I got home, I noticed it was leaking all the oil. The next morning, I looked under the car and saw they had left the cap half open, so I decided to take it back to them. They wanted to charge me again for the service and exaggerated the problem, saying it was a leak affecting other parts. Don’t fall for this game. On top of that, their prices are extremely high — $116 for an oil change.
I didn't have an appointment but they took me right away. I needed a tire so bought two for the rear. I asked for an oil change. There was a check engine light on but all I really needed was the tires. They saw that my battery was bad. Turned out it was the bad battery that caused the check engine. It was ready early afternoon and everything was perfect. I've been going there for years and have always had excellent service....
Everyone at Pepboys in Woodbury, NJ was very friendly. I called crying about my car and they quickly said come on up and we will happy to help. Even though they were busy and I didn't have an appointment the gentleman at desk assured me that I would be back on the road real soon. Wasn't long before they came out to explain how they could fix my car and they exact amount it would cost even helped some by giving me a $20 off coupon to use
Every little bit helps so I was grateful. Also I loved getting the txt message that kept me updated on the progress of my car. Not long after I was leaving very happy with the service and price. Thank you Pepboys employees for being there when my car needed fixing. I will be going back for all my car needs for now on.
On Sunday August 3rd with an appointment for a much needed oil change, I visited the Woodbury Pepboys. I made the appointment based on many positive Google reviews . I was quickly greeted with a smile by Anthony, who by the way, was the reason I decided to give Pep Boys one last try, based on previous mentioned reviews. He did not disappoint. Very friendly, went above and beyond. Aaron , also super nice wrapped up my sale with some kind words acknowledging my Veteran status. I noticed not only the kindness of the staff with customers in person and as well as on the phone. I also noticed the camaraderie of the staff with each other. The respect was obvious. Thank you to Hunter who serviced my car and for the recommendations on my tire. I will return.
The appt was for my daughter but since I scheduled it all is in my name. She was very pleased with the service and how she was given an estimate before work was done. Everyone was friendly and hard working , she stayed while work was done and it was done in a reasonable amount of time as quoted. Glad she now has a place to take her car where she trusts the people working there. Thank you so much!
Absolutely recommend! Amazing service and attitude, and a special shoutout to Anthony! I was in an absolute bind on a Sunday afternoon, getting a tire puncture driving back to Virginia from New York. I spoke with Anthony a few times on the phone, and each time he was extremely nice and patient with me as I needed to get my car towed to the Pep boys location. I truly appreciate Anthony's service on a Sunday afternoon, and this store's attitude/service was second to none. Best service I've received from any service company in a long time.

We had an had a problem with our one tire losing air. Anthony was at the desk, he was very helpful and informative. He called to explain the problem and was very clear with our options. I would not hesitate to go to the pep boys in Woodbury again.

Pep Boys in Woodbury staff are outstanding! Customer service and turnaround time for tire replacement is the absolute best in the area. Will go here for all of our tire repair/replacement needs. Team is extremely professional and great to work with.
Not crazy about this pep boys. Nothing to do with the customer service as everyone was very kind. but it felt like they were trying to get me to spend the most money possible for something so simple. I had to get my car evaluated as the a/c had been blowing hot air and i wanted to ensure everything was working properly so i could assess whether it needed a recharge or something bigger was the issue. All i ended up needing was a recharge. However it was 126 for the evaluation and then they tried to charge an EXTRA 495 to recharge it!!!
This was such a simple fix that i knew should cost no where near 500 dollars. I ended up leaving and getting it done elsewhere for only 125. I feel like because I was a young girl that they might’ve thought i was clueless and could talk me into dropping 600 dollars that day. Again, everyone was very kind but just felt like a money grab. I listened to another young teen boy while waiting try to get talked into them keeping his car overnight for something simple as well. Not everything is a money grab.
This place was actually very good and very honest mechanics there, being that I have knowledge of mechanic stuff and I’m taking some courses for it when I spoke to the mechanics here, they are very honest and they don’t get over or anyone and they give you a break down of things and they’ll tell you the dangers you can run into even overhearing them over the phone speaking to customers, I was like I went to good place to get a wheel alignment I was surprised compare to the other ones like Audubon in Cherry Hill, where they try to get over on you and not explain things to you, this place right here has very honest mechanics that they explained it to you they give you a breakdown and they’ll tell don’t force you into any financial decisions but they do explain to you why you need to fix it and what dangers you can run into and I like that because they educate their customer So I know hearing the representative while he was speaking over the phone to a customer And me being that I know my stuff I was like these guys are very honest mechanics. 10 out of 10 for me.
I was a walk in and needed Tires and oil change on my wife's car. The AM service writer was very helpful and fast in getting the car in. The second service clerk was just as helpful. He helped me with my payment through use of Affirm card.

Ive been on the lookout for a good and honest shop to take my SUV for quite some time and my most recent oil change at the Pep Boys location in Woodbury has me thinking that this might be my place.
Anthony was super helpful and efficient. He let me know exactly when I could expect to pick it up and I was sent a full report before coming back. I hadn't been planning on bringing it to this location originally, but the dealership that I was going to was making me feel uneasy so I gave this place a call to see if I could get in last minute and not only was he accommodating but also friendly I didn't try to rush me off the phone. Glad I made the switch!
Quick and easy. Had some alignment issues and was helped by someone as soon as I called and was greeted when I walked into the store. Aaron called me when the car was ready, which wasn’t long at all after I had dropped it off. Everyone was professional and I’m happy with the service. Highly recommended for quality service and professionalism.
Alex's customer service skills are flawless. He treated everyone who walked through the door with the same respect and common courtesy. There was another person I encountered, and he was also very knowledgeable and took the time to explain my need for new tires and what was available. I was very impressed.
I was told that the whole passengers seat needed to be replaced to fixed module that had water damage. The technician told me they had gotten a used seat and acted like it was a good deal-it’s actually just the same seat just cleaned up. I can tell by the huge stain that has been there for 7 years. They couldn’t get it out and thought I wouldn’t notice. I definitely was beat by this pep boys.
I will forever continue to come to Pep Boys because my mom used to come here and now I come here to get my Car serviced. Today I got my oil changed and when I picked up the car, Alex answered every single one of my questions I had because I Just bought my first car a year ago and I have a lot of questions and he took like a half hour out of his time and answered everything I needed to know and stuff. I wouldn’t remember he wrote down for me. People can go and get for cheaper, but for me having a peace of mind and a pleasant experience is far more worth it. The technician Ed who did my oil change was very thorough and considerate. He put down paper floor mats and a plastic seat cover. The desk team were amazing. Wilson, Aaron and Anthony were all very friendly and very knowledgeable. They let me know what my car needed as far as future maintenance. You can tell this team really cares about its customers. Hands down the best automotive experience I've ever had. Thank you!!
