This ShopRite, along with a few other locations finally started selling my all time favorite bread! Highly recommend for anyone who likes bread, but doesn’t want to gain the extra carb weight!
This ShopRite is great- been shopping here for YEARS! Unfortunately today, 2/3/2026 12:30 pm. I witnessed extreme rudeness by my Cashier PETE T. He was annoyed & abrupt with the Senior Citizen in front of me. Uncalled for, we will all be elderly at one point. When I got up to my spot, I did not receive a do you have your store card, a hello, the amount due, good bye- not a peep. A lot of huffing & puffing. Plus he stood there while I bagged. The teenager cashiers show more respect, manners & much better work ethic. PETE T, if you hate your job leave. This is a great store- this will deter folks from shopping here. Shame on you.
This Shoprite is convenient to the community.
It's newly renovated and more spacious.
Prices are reasonable and the store is well stocked.
At the checkout, lots of cash registers were open.
The only issue that I had this day was the Register Clerk or Checkout employee, wasn't very friendly or seemed not willing to assist me with bagging. When he finally did try to help, he Haphazardly put the remaining of my items in the bag.
In my customer Service management background, perhaps retraining employees to give more than the bear minimum in greeting each customer, and doing all that you can to assist each customer in bagging and securing their purchases.
It doesn't take much to smile , greet, as well as giving eye contact would go a long way to ensure a final satisfying experience, for the employees as well, to enjoy their time at work.
Each employee represents the company, and especially at the checkout, the last contact with customers , ensuring whether or not , the best shopping experience was had , securing a satisfied loyal returning customer.
Horrible store the employees are VERY rude and disrespectful!! Store manager should look at the women who work at cash registers and self check out .. tall lady with straight dark hair harassed me [said oemthing VERY mean when i was paying for my water] and gave me dirty look with another female employee when I walked out and was muttering nasty comments under her breath it is never ok and I hope this review wakes up the manager big time!! That is never ok to treat someone especially a customer if you don’t like someone don’t say anything at all scary and won’t be back since I’ve been harassed and you will cover their ugly behavior up.. never have I seen more mean cold hearted working in a food store than this place..the manager wouldn’t pick showing they are guilty and are Clearly wrong

UPDATE: I saw your response, no offense to the owner, i doubt you confronted this woman or anyone for that matter and claim you did.. i wont be returning.. I do NOT deserve to be harassed and bullied when I'm purchasing water form YOUR store, i will take it somewhere else very scary how you allowed this to happen..
Have been going for 23 years. Love them, love the service and now a large variety of spanish products. But I miss the baggers. It was great to not have to bag. I feel it set them even further apart from the competition, also it moved things along when the store is crowded.
Every time you ask for a dill pickle at the deli, they act like they don't have them when I know they're in the back, they just don't feel like getting them.One of the workers already told me I don't know why they don't put the dill pickles back in the ftont place is horrible
They need to fix the self check out sensor, it pops an error multiple times for no reason and makes it a
nightmare and long process. You constantly have to get a worker to override it which is very annoying and self checkout suppose to make your experience better not worse. This is the worst self check out I’ve ever experienced. Update: 0 stars, self check out is still a nightmare. Better off going to regular aisle much faster
I normally shop at the ShopRite in Little Falls, and it’s always been reliable. But whenever something is out of stock there, I’ll occasionally try the ShopRite in Nutley. After my most recent experience, I will never go back.
The prices in the Nutley location are noticeably—and unnecessarily—higher. It’s clear they’re taking advantage of the local demographics and charging more simply because they know many Nutley residents have a higher income. It feels like blatant price gouging and a complete disregard for their customers.
It’s honestly disappointing to see a store inflate prices just because they think they can get away with it. I’ll stick with Little Falls from now on. Nutley ShopRite has lost my business for good.

BUT Due to your higher prices than the average stores. I won't be coming back. Unfortunately, cant afford so I will be going to Lidles and Alidis which is more affordable? So I suggest you lower your prices QUICKLY
You cannot put bananas in refrigeration, they will not ripen and be like the pale green brown yellow bananas you guys put out every day. Please stop doing this you're just wasting quality food.
My family and I have been coming to this ShopRite for years, and I was honestly so happy to see the renovations — it looks great! But the customer service really needs some improvement. Some employees are super friendly, polite, and helpful, which I really appreciate. However, others can be a bit intimidating to approach because it feels like they might give you an attitude. It makes the overall shopping experience uncomfortable sometimes, which is disappointing considering how long we’ve been loyal customers.
The pharmacy has a good pharmacist who has been there for years. Service is quick and hassle free. There is usually 1 or no people at the counter, but after school till 5 there can be a line of 3 or 4 people. I suggest calling the day before an "e-script" is due for refill. Cash prices on generics are amongst the lowest in the general area.

ShopRite of Nutley is one of my favorite places to shop! The store is always well-stocked, and I was excited to find Chifleton Toston Chips here. They’re fresh, crispy, and authentic — highly recommend picking up a bag when you shop here!
We are ShopRite customer for over 50 years. They have been improving to fit customers needs. Very fresh vegetables, fruits, groceries and pharmacy.
Not to mention great customer service
I don’t typically share negative experiences publicly, as I understand the economic implications for businesses. However, the lack of basic customer service and the dismissive attitude I received from Rachel in the “customer service” department was both unacceptable and quite frankly intentional.
It’s completely reasonable not to have an answer on hand. What’s not acceptable is showing no interest in finding the answer especially when the person she had just spoken to over the walkie-talkie was still actively responding. Instead of asking a simple and straightforward question like, “Will it be back in stock soon?”, I was met with a dismissive, “You heard what I heard,” and left waiting for someone else to approach me directly.
The energy and tone of the interaction made it clear I wasn’t being taken seriously and the intentional dismissal felt racially charged. I’m choosing to take my business elsewhere and will now be shopping at the Brookdale ShopRite moving forward
This store clearly makes an effort to stay clean and organized. The shelves are generally tidy, and the layout makes it easy to find what you need. Staff were polite and seemed to be doing their best to keep things running smoothly. I really wanted to like this place more, and for the most part, it does offer a decent shopping experience.
However, while I was buying milk, I noticed a lot of black mold around the milk section—especially on the refrigerator seals and surrounding areas. It was hard to miss, and honestly, pretty off-putting. For a section that stores perishable items like dairy, the presence of mold is a serious concern. It raises questions about how well the refrigerated areas are maintained and whether proper cleaning protocols are being followed.
I believe the store is trying to do a good job, and that’s why I’m giving it three stars instead of fewer. But this issue can’t be overlooked. Mold in any food section, particularly around milk, is a health hazard and should be addressed immediately. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the hygiene in that area. I’d consider returning once it’s resolved.
I bought these berries today in the morning, kept in fridge and by evening they were covered in mold. I love this store but some of the fruits and berries here are terrible.
My wife placed an online order on 1/7/24 for 1/8/24. In the morning of 1/8/24 she received a text stating that the 5lb bag of potato's and the package of tomato's was out of stock and there was nothing in the store to replace them.
After calling the Nutley Shoprite for 3 hours to try and speak to the online shopping which I left two messages and got no return calls I called to speak to either of the two store managers at 1:32 for a total of 42 minutes and was hung up on twice, the customer service rep Margaret said neither one could be found and I was placed on hold and was hung up on again, I then called back and spoke to Angel and was told that neither store manager was around. Within a few minutes the manager Ron called and did nothing to correct the problem he said the order was placed with Belleville Shoprite, my wife looked online and it said the order was placed with NutleyShoprite. Do yourself a favor and place all you online orders through Brookdale Shoprite in Bloomfield NJ
Today 9/1/23, I purchased a 16oz. container of Wholesome Pantry Spinach and when I wanted to use it tonight in a dish I was making more than half of it was rotten. This is a normal occurrence with this Shoprite, cucumbers are frozen, banana's turn from green to brown without turning yellow. You are better shopping for fruit and vegetables at the Farmers Mkt. in Belleville, everything is half the price and better quality. Attached are some photos.
This shop rite was very up-to-date and remodeled. The layout of the store was unlike any S.R. I've been in. Clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful. They don't have motorized shopping carts. This location sells the ends of the cold cuts and cheese at half price, not all shoprites do that.
This shoprite is usually awesome. Great bakery and awesome cheese selection but today I purchased a bag of avocados and they looked like this. Had to throw the whole bag out.
This ShopRite is so AWESOME. Every single aisle is very organized, the produce section is clean and inviting. The deli counters and salad bar are always clean and properly arranged with delicious food. The staff is extremely friendly and parking has a strategic ease of flow. AND their bakery department is phenomenal.... Superb to say the least.
