I wish I could give John’s 10 stars. This is by far the best body shop I have ever been to. John is 100% transparent about pricing and never charges for anything unnecessary. Everyone at the shop is so kind and friendly. It only took about 3 hours to fix my car and they did an amazing job. I am very impressed and highly recommend them.

After spending a lot of money here, they told me I'd be better off selling my car elsewhere because they couldn’t fix it. The owner made a lot of promises but failed to meet even my most basic expectations. On top of that, they never provided updates unless I constantly followed up. I will never return to this place.

I've gone to John's Automotive twice for body repair and both times they delivered excellent work, fast, and at a fair price. The most recent work involved damage to the front right bumper of a Prius. I got a quote from a Toyota dealer (I happened to be there for another reason) and, unsurprisingly, the quote they gave me was nearly 7 times what John charged, and included replacing an $800 part that didn't need replacing. You can trust John not to do that dishonest trick. I recommend him 100%. Before and after photos attached.

Brought my 2016 Chevy Silverado to repair my rusted out driver side rocker panel, Jackie was able to repair this in four days and did an outstanding job. See pictures for comparison.

John’auto is great. Owner John is great and super nice. Garage manager Jack is a fun person to chat with. They put customer first, only recommending what is necessary. The price is very reasonable and the repairs are always up to the code.

The technician was asking for $400 to fix my car. I agreed. After the job is done, he only charged me $300 because the job is not as hard as he thought. I highly recommend this shop. A while ago I can't remove two lug nuts. I asked him for help. He did it for free. I saw lots of returned customers there.

I own a small rental car fleet, so I have used just about every mechanic shop in our area. Jackie at John’s automotive is my go to. He shoots you straight. He tells you what actually needs to be done to remedy the problem and doesn’t upsell you a bunch of stuff you don’t need. Very fair. Very knowledgeable. And very fast! I have a couple other mechanics in the area who I really like, but they can’t get the work done as quickly as Jackie. Jackie always has my stuff finished in a day or two.

This man is definitely good at his job and helpful. I went there with a problem that kept me up all night and he said it was not a serious problem and fixed the problem within 10 seconds and even though I wanted to pay money, he didn't take it. I am grateful.

I recently damaged the fender of my Audi A7. I took it to John’s Automotive, and I must say, their service was outstanding. They skillfully replaced fender, repaired the bumper and hood, and did a fantastic paint job. All in just 2 days. My car now looks brand new. Their attention to detail was also remarkable. They not only washed my car but also did a thorough interior cleaning. They even reattached the original ‘Supercharged’ emblem on the fender before I got my car back. The pricing was very reasonable, and they also helped me do a free tire rotation. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality of repair and the level of service. Thank you! Would definitely return for future maintenance and highly recommended them to others.

John’s Auto is the go-to place for your car issues. The owners are very kind, communicative and professional. They are not like other places where your car was fixed roughly, John and the other technicians performed the repairs as a piece of art. My car was pristine when I pick it up and they even fixed other problems that I didn’t mention before. Price is also unbeatable and I would highly recommend this place!

My father bent his rear passage side door when he backed out of the garage. We brought the car to John's Automotive. Jacky was the one who greeted us. He took a look, opened the door, put his knee against the inside of door, and bent it inward with his hands. In less than 1 minute, he fixed the problem!!! The car door now closes perfectly and window rolles down smoothly. The best part -- Jacky charged absolutely nothing. I tried to give Jacky a $20 bill and he turned it down, saying that "he did nothing." We could not be happier. Terrific shop! Really pleasant, highly experienced, and genuinely helpful human being! Great customer support. Felt like i got an honest answer about my end of lease questions. Told me the cost of what it would be to get some dents fixed and advised me to just bring it back to dealership and in the end he was right! Saved ke money by turning me away and i would like to say thanks and will be a customer for my other cars should i need repairs- thanks

Car was hit in a minor accident which left my drivers side door all scratched... took my car to Jackie over at John's Automotive and not only did they take care of everything, they gave me an amazing deal and were so pleasant to deal with. I just moved to Montclair about 6 months ago but this is the by far the best business experience I have had in the area. If you're in need of quality work on your vehicle from honest people I would highly recommend Jackie and his staff to anyone.

I think this shop is the most worthy of recommendation, the boss is very warm-hearted, the price has an absolute advantage. I've had a few repairs here and I'm very pleased with it. I've recommended it to a lot of my friends and I want them to enjoy the excellent quality and reasonable price service.

Leave you car there and Jackie will take care of it including negotiating with insurance company. A few days later you will get you car back like new. Recommend to people who need car repairing. 100% satisfied with their service. Thanks to Jose who drove back and forth to car rental.

I Just Bought a car from John's Automotive in Montclair, NJ. My experience at John's Auto Inc was fantastic. It is the most friendly and transparent auto shop that I have encountered. First a little bit of the problem of my car. My car is 07 Toyota Sienna. A few days ago I had it oil changed at a different shop nearby and was alerted that the rack/pinion was leaking. It will cost $900+ to fix it. It was too much for me to have it fixed right away. I went back and googled it and found John's Auto Inc. The reviews were excellent. The shop is over 20 miles away from my home but I decided to give it a try. I went there this morning. They checked it and explained to me that the problem was common for Toyota Sienna and the leak was minor currently. It does not require a fix now. I just need to check the level of steering fluid once a few weeks and replenish the fluid when it is below the min level. I should consider having the rack/pinion replaced when the leak becomes severe. They would be happy to give me an estimate when the time comes. The total cost for today: $0. What a honest shop! The mechanic that checks my car is Luis I think. He and the girl that does the customer service both were very professional and friendly throughout the process. Two thumbs up for them!
