Hi, I went tonight to this location cashier # 4 was really rude disrespectful. She has dory mouth, how is possible shoprite hiring this type of people. Usually we found excellent people in Shoprite in Livingston NJ. I hope someone take care and removed this person from this business. Sincerely, Julianna Ardduinni MD.

Shoprite at Livingston and their grocery pickup service is the best thing since sliced bread! The team is always professional and courteous. Definitely the go to spot for my groceries.

Store is good but the issue is with staff there. They are rude and not supportive. Even if its their fault they will not accept it. Its definitely HR issue and they need to be thought to how to talk to the customers rather than start arguing.

I like coming in from the side entrance. All the to go stuff is right there with check out station. I really appreciate the drinks section being bigger than other locations and having water and soda for less an $2. I usually get the sushi, and love the selection compared to other places like kings. But the packing can be eh and the rice undercooked at times. I think the prices went up by a dollar. And I think they took away their sit down area.

Managers won’t transfer any orders to the front of there is a trouble with payment. Waited on line for 30 mins while they figured it out for the person ahead of me. I left and they were still figuring it out… The line building behind me… No one will say anything to you… They just expect you to waste your time AND money there. Worst ShopRite in NJ. Avoid!!! Go anywhere else.

Maybe you could be nicer to customers from out of town that don’t know how things work with bags or water. It’s confusing and your employees are inconsiderate.

I had a shocking and disgusting experience here. I was shopping after 10 p.m. and saw a rat walking around the meat department aisle. I screamed and ran — I was terrified. There were no employees anywhere to report this to. I’ve been shopping my entire life and have NEVER seen something like this in a supermarket. After this incident, I will never give my business to ShopRite ever again.?

Very nice layout, great new kosher section with many new foods

Excellent value for groceries with a lot of items on sale. Shelves are well stocked so there are plenty of options. There is also a hot food bar with the remaining items at 50% off after 7pm.

I like this place. This is our primary destination for food shopping. The guys at the meat department are usually very helpful. I wish ShopRite remove Trans fat from all their products. Here is a pie it ended up in the trash.

I guess this is a fine ShopRite, but the actual experience of going here is not terribly enjoyable because the parking lot situation feels like an unreleased sequel to Mad Max, starring only people over 70.

I saw a guy cursing off an old lady for trying to get an item and gave her a disgusting personality if the keeps going by with this customer service I don't even wanna or consider bring ur business to livington shoprite

Mos people are helpful and friendly. Some others, are rude. I am 81 years old, and expect nice treatment.

What happened to customer service! I walk up to the bakery department and the girl behind the counter standing on her phone doesn’t even lookup. Another woman comes to help me and I asked her if I can order a specific cake decoration. She turns to the girl who was on her phone, walks up says “we can’t do that, just what’s in the book” very rudely.

Normally I don't post reviews, however, we must get management and perhaps corporate attention to a big problem. The store is comfortable, items are easy to find, staff is generally helpful, the big problem? Lack of freshness in the food! For example, just this past week, we found every box of strawberries and raspberries to have mold, the bowl and basket cheddar cheese in the dairy section was green, multiple cheeses, not just one package and I'm saving the worst for last which was absolutely disgusting, the bananas had spiders! I swear it's true. I saw cobwebs between several stuck together bananas with a spider web and coocon nest with live spiders! Geez! The hot food bar is somewhat dryed out by mid afternoon but that's nothing compared to spiders in the fruit. I took photos of the spiders and the moldy fruits and cheese, then I walked out in disbelief and went to another supermarket which is a shame as we do like this conveniently located store. I can't be the only one seeing a decline in food freshness at the Livingston ShopRite. Shame shame.

This is a review of the Order Express Catering. I've been hosting New Year Eve Parties for over thirty years from 20-80 people. Some parties I've cooked for and other I have catered. I have used Shoprite to cater many times in the past, and I have to unfortunately say that the catering didn't go down hill, it fell off the cliff. From not getting what was ordered, and not getting how it was described in the item description and the quality being just ok. Because we were concerned about the number of pieces on the platter, on the order sheet we ask for the manager to call us to review the order; in addition, the day before we called so he should have had a message from the store manager to call us to review the order (we never received a call). After purchasing, I reviewed the order at my car. I went back into the store and made the employee aware to one of the mistakes, he called the manager and the response was "well you don't have to take it." Well since the sloppy joe tray was half the size as they were in the past, I didn't have much of a choice 90 minutes before guests were arriving other than to take what was given. Bottom line, we did not get what we ordered, it was not as was described and the quality was absolutely average. In the past the quality was much better. I do want to thank the employee and the store manager on duty that helped me. But I cannot recommend this service from this particular store anymore.

Update: this store has definitely declined in the last few years. The large prepared foods department is gone, and so is the seating area, so what they have is for take out only. The produce hasn't been very good lately, but the bakery is nice and grocery is good. Prices are solid but not as good as they used to be. Original review: Awesome prepared foods selections and great prices. Always very clean and well-stocked. Checkout lines can sometimes be very long.

Listen. I know it's a Sunday afternoon and it really stinks to be working. I know because I work on Sunday as well. And I understand that now, since we have to provide our own bags we have to bag ourselves. There's only so fast I can move cuz I'm not that great at it. But I'm bagging as fast as I can. There is nothing more disheartening than spending your hard-earned dollars on fruit and vegetables at the ShopRite and have the kid running the checkout. Basically shove all your stuff to the end and not really care whether or not everything falls on top and smashes the fruit that you just paid for. I am normally very patient but I was kind of just on breaking point at prices today and I kind of lost it. I did tell the young lady at the desk that I'm not asking for help. Bagging, I just need it to be less. Purposely crushing of the food that I have bought. Maybe a little less attitude when you ask for a bag to wrap up the watermelon. They just crushed and broke the packaging open on. I do not think I will continue to go back to that grocery store because they just make me feel bad about myself.

Shopping was pleasant. Very reasonable prices. Cheaper than other markets. I just don't know why customers have to ask for assistance to bag? Isn't that the cashier's job? Ever since this bag thing was enforced, no bags & No service!

Had an amazing turn out at my baby shower last year the bakery A1 . Will be going back to the bakery this year for my son’s 1st birthday. I’ve never experienced cake and cupcakes all gone at a baby shower or party there was nothing left !!! Amazing job didn’t get a picture of the cupcakes just the cake that’s how fast it went

Pretty nice ShopRite. Good soups and hot and cold buffet. Nice produce, bakery, deli and meat selection. Convenient self checkout. Parking can be a little tight especially in front of the store better to go on the side.

Update: Sat evening 10/28/23 Unfortunately they just can't control staff who where whatever they want. This guy here has his pants worn low. Does he realize he is working? And should be appropriately dressed? Does management realize this and allow him to work his shift anyway? Because i guarantee you if he was sent home he will be dressed cirrectIy. Most impt does the employee Amd management realize that i don't want to see this person's buttocks ( as well as expose my kids to it )and underwear. UPDATE Sat evening 10/28:23 I experience rude staff there. Ive called the managers complaining about it but still the same. That's why im SOOOO glad that we have other options now like Aldi and very soon Lidl. For BOTH lower prices and customer service - actually being respected as a customer. Instead of being made to feel like we should be happy the workers are helping us. Imagine workers with pants falling off. Showing their underwear or cashiers talking to each other with curses in their conversations. Very few SRite staff are actually courteous. AND i was there last night and saw these tongs IN the food BUFFET... Update 12-5-22 was just at vegetable dept. This is what i have to look at. Workers with pants hanging off so their underwear is exposed. Just completely inappropriate work dress code. I informed the manager on duty. Let's see if anything is done about it. Please note. The only reason im shopping here is because of a gift card I'm trying to finish.

This is where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping. Do not go here during lunch time. It is a total zoo. I don’t know why so many people go here during lunch time! I usually go early in the morning at 8am or after 8pm. There are so little people at that time you feel you have the store to yourself and you can do your shopping in peace!
