I had a 6:00 PM appointment and arrived early, dropping my vehicle off at 5:40 PM. When I came into the store, no one was at the counter. A line formed behind me, including someone waiting to pick up their vehicle. When an employee finally came out, they made eye contact with me, so I began speaking, but instead of helping the customers standing there, they picked up the phone and took a call. From the start, the experience was disorganized and unprofessional. No one called to confirm whether they could actually perform the service. Instead, once I was finally addressed, I was told in person that “wheel alignments usually take an hour and 45 minutes or more,” which made it seem like they were reluctant to take my car at all. I specifically came in to purchase the lifetime wheel alignment service, which I did and paid $246.29. About 1 hour and 20 minutes later, I got my car back. During that time, they put the car back on the lift two additional times, claiming it “wouldn’t align,” and then told me they had to switch the tires from side to side. After that, they handed me the keys and sent me on my way. My alignment was already bad from another shop, which is exactly why I came to Firestone, to have it corrected properly and to invest in a lifetime service. Instead, they made the problem worse. Immediately after leaving, I noticed the car now pulls hard to the right, the ABS and traction control system activates and auto-brakes, and the steering wheel is still crooked. These are serious safety issues that did not exist before this visit. It was almost 7:00 PM when I realized how bad it was. I turned around within five minutes and went straight back, only to find the store closed, lights off, doors locked, and no employees anywhere. I repeatedly tried calling the store while driving back, hoping someone would pick up so they wouldn’t close, but no one answered. This location released my vehicle in a more dangerous condition than when I brought it in, then closed without ensuring the work was correct. I will not return to the Parsippany location, despite it being the closest. I now have to go to a different Firestone just to fix the problems this store caused.

After my mechanic retired, Livingston Firestone and technicians Ray and Mike have been my go to site for repairs, service and tires. I feel I can trust them and receive an honest and truthful transaction. Mr. Darby and Anthony at the front desk are always helpful. They listen to my description of the problem and always keep me informed of the problem, progress and a cheerful call when finished.

Doug is great!! He listens to what you need and does not make you feel as you are being taken advantage of. Great recommendations and very knowledgeable! Good person. I will always come back, for ANYTHING my car needs. -Hector Montalvo

It’s rare to find a shop that combines great customer service, honest communication, and high-quality work, but this Firestone absolutely delivered. I’ll definitely be returning for future services and highly recommend this location to anyone who wants reliable, professional care for their vehicle.

I drove from out of town and developed a noise in my car. They were amazing, getting me in at the last minute on a Saturday and fixing the issue for a seriously reasonable price!

I am disappointed with the this location and current situation. I have been a customer at this location for a considerable period. Today, upon attempting to retrieve my vehicle, I was informed that I could not do so due to a system outage. I contacted customer support, and they expressed concern that the employees did not attempt to contact customer support to verify my information as a Firestone cardholder. This could have facilitated review of my work order and subsequent billing at an alternative location. This will have an impact on thr fleet account i currently have.

Have come here 3 times since February for replacing tires. Yes I have the worst luck imaginable😂. These guys always provide great customer service, as well as quick and professional service on my vehicle. Would never go anywhere else🤝

Found tires on their website with a reasonable cost and install fee. Price showed on website is what I paid plus tax. They were super quick and I was in and out in an hour.

I am always in and out in an hour max with a same day appointment. Seriously the best in this area! Doug’s customer service is top tier!

My last few appointments at my local firestone in Livingston NJ we not great. This last one was excellent. Doug at the desk is the absolute best. He asks me about my family how my kids are doing tells it like it is. Ray was my technician and really did a great job explaining things to me. He told me to ask for him from now on which I will do. Great experience and thank you to Doug and Ray.

We were all packed up about to head down the shore for a quick trip with our kid who was short on time for college break when our tire went flat. It was Sunday and many places were closed but not Firestone. They were busy but answered the phone and called me back to tell me they had my tire in stock. I arrived to find many people already in line and waiting but Doug squeezed me in and in no time my car was on the lift. We went across the street to the Diner for breakfast and came back to find the car would be ready in 30 minutes. Before long we were on our way down the shore. Crisis averted, family fun saved! Great service here. I will be back!

The staff at Firestone is always courteous, helpful and pleasant. They are very knowledgeable and guide me through decisions regarding my car. I couldn't ask for better service.

This place is not willing to do a small job. One of my tires has low air pressure and I took it to Firestone. Instead of them fixing one tire, they asked us to replace all four with new tires. They said they do not fix one tire. We took the car to Costco. They charged us $11 and fixed it because they found a nail. Do you think I would ever go back to Firestone when I need new tires? Never. They are too profit driven and refused to do small jobs. Based on their response to my review, they did not even read it before responding or they were just responded by AI without reading my 1 star review.

I recently visited Firestone for a car estimate, and it was unfortunately one of my worst customer service experiences. The front desk agent was quite rude and didn't handle my inquiries well. I was informed that there would be a $10 fee for a problem check, and an appointment was necessary. Checking a problem will take 90 mins and when I asked if they offered a ride home, as many other service centers do, the agent dismissively said, "$10 won’t take you that long." It would have been more appropriate for him to simply state that they don’t provide that service. I believe Firestone should consider training their staff on better customer interaction.

I highly recommend Doug and the team for their exceptional service! The waiting area is always clean and comfortable, which is a great first impression. Had my battery serviced and oil changed. Experience was good and transparent. ————- updated on 11/25/2023 ————- Had my car serviced 4 months ago. Today i found 2 out of the 5 wheel studs on the wheel they serviced broke off when I was changing winter tires. The car hasn’t been touched by anyone else and has been mostly sitting in my driveway. I am pretty sure it was due to someone over tightening the lug nuts using power tool, since I also noticed the other 3 lug nuts were fairly loose and definitely not torqued to spec. Called the store, they said the manager was going to call me back but no one called. Sounds like they are not likely to take any responsibility. Called customer service of Firestone afterwards and created a case. Will see how it goes. PS. I use hand tool to loose and tighten lug nuts. I have been working on cars for 10+ years, I know what I’m doing.

So this morning on my way for work this happened, I drove to Firestone in Livingston close to where I work to see if they could fixed my tired, I didn't go there to purchase any tires but only to patch it up so I could go about my business.. As I got there I explained that I'm late for work if they could patch it up for me, the guy said yes, I sat down waited for 35 minutes for him to tell me that I needed 4 brand new tires, I explained once again I didn't come here for tires, he told me point blank I will have your keys back to you, if I didn't buy the tires, and he did just that After waited all this long he returned my keys with no service, I feel like he could have handled it different, at that time what make him think I could afford to buy 4 brand new tires? Sometimes you have to think before refusing someone service Good job Firestone, good job 👍👍
