I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Real Antique Wood. I was looking for a hand hewn mantel that would bring warmth and character to my space, and what I ended up with was beyond perfect. Chris and Anthony were amazing to work with super patient, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure I got exactly what I had envisioned. They walked me through every step and made the whole process feel easy and exciting. The mantel is absolutely beautiful and has become the centerpiece of the room. I’m so glad I found them!

What can I say - these guys know their wood!!! Chris and Anthony made this project stress free and the beam and mantel they made are the crown jewels of our renovation. We could have made faux beams from big box store wood or used those fake foam things, but having “Real Antique Wood” as the focal point truly makes it feel like home!

What a wonderful experience working with Chris. His knowledge and expertise really served as great direction for our project. And their work far exceeded our expectations! We absolutely loved the wood beam and mantle in our home. They were able to come up with a finish that complemented both our cabinets and wood floors.

The entire process was a breeze, made an appt online, Chris sat down and went over every option, every detail and gave us budget options. The beams are beyond beautiful! Kiln dried and masterfully crafted to look like they have been there for 100 years. Ours were installed right over our studs. Worth every penny and brings so much warmth to our home. I have been a customer of RAW for a few years now and have done 3 projects with them. Every single time my wife and I have been super happy. They have always exceeded our exceptions. We will continue to get more work from them, as their quality is unmatched. They are very easy to deal with and have great customer service, you won't be disappointed.

Chris was very helpful while we were selecting our reclaimed beams. He had them rip cut to the requested depth and matched up the scarf cut joints for us so we could easily put them back together. Very pleased with the service.

Recently my wife and I purchased an older home with a country style kitchen. Our goal was to accentuate the warmth of an old farmhouse using a touch of hand hewn barn beams. At Real Antique woodworks, Anthony and Chris were very accommodating with recommendations to meet our desired wood species and effect it would have on our project. This was our 3rd visit back to Real Antique Wood and once again they did not disappoint !!! Worked with Chris to design custom reclaimed wood beams for our dining room and a reclaimed wood ceiling in our front entryway. Everyone here is professional and kind - they love what do and it shows in the final results of what they deliver!! So happy -we will be back for our next project!!

Chris and his Team did an amazing job for our fireplace mantel. My wife and I can appreciate the work they put into the piece. At first, we were concerned how it would look since it had to be a custom piece. Chris took the time to explain the process and assured us the finish product would be right. We were looking for someone to design a unique countertop piece for our kitchen, and Real Antique Wood was a real win! We visited the shop with our crazy idea, talked it through with Chris, picked out a live slab, and 8 wks later we're loving our kitchen piece. The shop is beautiful and has so many unique finds and custom pieces to peruse. In fact, it was our 3-year-old who found the "rainbow chairs," which now surround our dining room table. They are sturdy wooden chairs that are made from salvaged wood from Indonesian fishing boats. We can't get enough, so now RAW is going to design and build a rolling pantry from salvaged wood. Fantastic service,even during the pandemic. My wife and I were looking for a mantel. The showroom was larger than anticipated and had exactly what we needed. Staff was very helpful. If not, based on the inventory just on display and quality of the workmanship on display, they could have made whatever we needed. UPDATE: We wanted to refinish our basement in a speak easy/cigar lounge way. Off to Real Antigue Wood for ideas and suggestions. We ended up purchasing wrap for the lally columns. It was the way to go. Chris was super helpful and gave us great input about our project and the idea altogether. It came out fantastic and just the way we had envisioned.

We cannot speak highly enough about Chris and his family at Real Antique Wood! We received an education throughout the entire process. We chose our own beautiful wood slab and got to see the team transform our curly maple wood slabs into our stunning dining table. Thank you so much for making our table dreams come true! Chris and Anthony were a pleasure to deal with during the process of my mantel fabrication. They were very professional, quick to respond, give advice and answer questions. Overall just great guys! And.. the mantel is beautiful. We are very happy with the results.

We were looking for an antique butchers table to use as an island. The size needed for our kitchen was narrower than anything we could find. We were referred to Real Antique Wood to have something made. Sent them a few pictures for inspiration and gave them the dimensions. After a couple conversations and a rough drawing, I was confident that they knew what we were looking for. They told us 6-8 weeks for the build and about 6 weeks in, we were invited back to approve the color/finish of the wood. A week later it was delivered. The end product is exactly what we had envisioned. I couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship and final product. All in all, Chris and Anthony are very easy to work with and nailed the look we were shooting for. We will definitely work with them on a couple more pieces we are looking for.

Chris and his brother were awesome to work with! They helped me pick perfect antique doors that look awesome in our new build and add a ton of character. Along with awesome mantels! I can’t say enough good things about this place and their work. I will definitely be back!

Real Antique was an absolute pleasure to work with. This project was the first residential project I was able to work with Chris and Anthony on and I hope it's not the last. They were extremely responsive with communication, had great attention to detail, and delivered an excellent product with beautiful craftsmanship on a difficult installation. Amazing Amazing Amazing!! Nothing less to say. From the first day I walked in. Chris and the entire team were patient, listened and cared to want to make me happy. I allowed them to work their magic and the results are amazing. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend. Updated to add the final project with the sink. I CAN NOT stop looking at it. This place is really special. We first purchased our kitchen island pine live edge slab back in 2016. It is our favorite focal point in our house. In 2017, we then purchased an old farmhouse beam that I stained and used for our fireplace mantle. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are always friendly. We will absolutely come back in the future.

If I could, I would have rated my experience with Real Antique Wood (RAW) 6+ STARS (or even higher, 10 STARS...you get the point)! From day 1, my wife and I had an AMAZING experience. The showroom in Irvington is INCREDIBE, almost difficult to put into words the variety, craftsmanship, quality, and uniqueness of their product offerings. My wife and I worked almost exclusively with Anthony S. from Day 1 and he is one of my favorite people in this world. Anthony is super honest, full of incredible ideas/vision, and extremely professional and courteous to meet changing client needs/wishes. Anthony helped bring to life our new AWESOME bar room to complete our fully renovated farm-style home. Anthony recommended an awesome bar counter-top made from a tree imported from Costa Rica, along with distressed and dark shiplap siding and floating shelves from a barn taken down in PA. If that is not enough to get you in the door at RAW, Anthony and one of his colleagues (another incredible dude) INSTALLED THE ENTIRE bar on a Friday night (not kidding) in order for us to have bar functional and ready to use / celebrate for our daughter's birthday party the next day. WHO ELSE DOES THAT!? Everyone and anyone that has visited our new home not only compliments the bar but will also ask where did we go for that....simple answer, Real Antique Wood! Many thanks to Anthony & the entire team; you have a friend and client for life. I was looking to get yellow pine to replace some damaged floorboards and they had it. The place is amazing and filled with a large variety of antique wood products that will spark your imagination and the service was great.
