I’m a 65 year old female that just got off work driving 15miles and only 7 blocks from my home. I stop into a bodega for only 3 min returned to vehicle and it would not start. I had to call AAA and long story short I need a new battery. 5:15pm AAA suggested I go to Auto zone after jumping my vehicle. I’m familiar with the AutoZone in Irvington NJ on Lyons Ave and have used and brought items there for years Anyway It’s about 29 degrees now around 6pm and I met your store representative ZION? Not only did this gentleman listened He genuinely was concerned. He looked up my information, He went in-depth on all options without looking like a salesman!! He found discounts, installed a new battery only using his cell as light He HAD NO HAT!!! Unfazed Gangster ? Had an great experience with this specific store! There was this one worker by the name of Nae who made my shopping experience very easy since I am not that familiar with cars! Will always come back.

Been coming here for years at this Autozone and now will find a new one to go to. I was told that they don’t install batteries. They told me that I have to go to a mechanic to take out the battery and also re install the battery. The new staff in here is lazy and don’t want to do anything I hope management rectifies this situation, until then I will be going to another Autozone location

If they allow me to give zero, I swear on God. Both stores in Irvington, I went to AutoZone on Springfield. In Irvington, they said the machine to charge the battery is broken, so they sent me to the one on Lyons Ave. As soon as I'm getting inside the store, they were telling another customer to go on Springfield. I was like, "Springfield just sent me here!" I think they just want people to buy new batteries from them. I would prefer to go to another store even though I live in Irvington.

I went in to buy a new headlight bulb, and a helpful gentleman named Quil offered excellent customer service. He guided me to the right area and made sure I chose the correct bulbs for my vehicle.

This place has really nice people behind the counters. They help you if you need it. I usually come here for my cleaning and waxing products for my car because they carry certain brands that Advanced Auto doesn't carry. I always shop at both places because I check both pricing at each of the stores. And go to who is the better deal at the time. The prices always change so I recommend always checking online. Before any purchase.

I called this morning for stock inquiry, and I spoke with a young lady name Marilyn. She was very pleasant and helpful. Her recommendations on using the better quality parts was much appreciated. When I stopped I. To pick up my parts, I made sure her and her team knew how much I appreciated the customer service she provided.

There was a male there who was currently off the clock and nun of the employees wanted to help but him! He did everything he could OFF CLOCK and even used his own personal vehicle to jump my cousins car. which was very nice if I knew his name I would’ve added it. But if it wasn’t for him this place would’ve got one star ! And mind you I was in there for 10 mins and not one employee but him decided to help me. Thank you kind sir ?

Had to get creative assembling hose work for the car,. The representative that worked with us, Marilyn was top-notch on her knowledge of parts and even how things work together. She was absolutely incredible. Everybody that works there is very good., But Marilyn was on duty so she gets the props today! Thank you you as always, AutoZone!

From a *1-Star Review this morning to now a *5-Star Review this afternoon: A Turnaround Experience at AutoZone, Irvington, NJ** My recent visit to the AutoZone at 514 Lyons Ave, Irvington, NJ, began as one of the most frustrating retail experiences I've ever had. I went in to return a product and was met with an attitude and level of rudeness that was completely unnecessary. The female attendant greeted me with clear annoyance despite my polite approach, and the male attendant was similarly unhelpful, being called away while supposedly assisting me. I was left standing there, waiting, and felt as though my return was an inconvenience to them both. To make matters worse, when I stepped outside to call corporate, 5 minutes later the female employee came outside and started staring me down in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. Additionally, there was an ongoing issue with my online order not appearing in the system properly, which only added to my frustration. It seems there is a serious gap in communication between AutoZone’s online service and the in-store staff regarding returns and order tracking. This miscommunication and lack of coordination created a difficult situation that could have easily been avoided. However, the story doesn't end there. Marilyn, the store manager, turned this situation around completely. She reached out to me, apologized on behalf of her staff, and assured me that if I'm ever in the area again, she would personally waive any return requirements and provide me with a full refund. On top of that, she promised to address the behavior of the two employees involved. What truly impressed me was that Marilyn took the time on her day off to handle this situation, something she could have easily deferred until the following day. Her dedication and commitment to customer service are the reason I’m giving this experience a 5-star review. Managers like Marilyn are why AutoZone has the potential to become a more pleasant and successful company to do business with. If every store had a leader like her, there’s no doubt AutoZone would thrive. Thank you, Marilyn, for your professionalism and for going above and beyond to ensure my concerns were addressed.

I don’t normally do this but I was so upset by an experience from a female worker today. I went to the counter and said good morning. She did not respond to my courtesy, she just stared me and rudely asked “what”? Right away I realized she was in a bad mood. I went ahead and stated my order. She had this “I don’t care” attitude and did not want to respond to questions I asked about my order. My order amounted to over $400.00 - I asked her: “am I getting a discount”? She coldly responded: “What do you mean”? I asked her if she doesn’t know what’s a discount. That’s when she she started to show her true colors. I then had to tell her that since I came to her counter I don’t like the service I’m getting. She responded by telling me someone else has to deal with me and began calling other customers ahead of me. I stood my grounds and told her I’m not moving because I’m a customer too and if it was the other way around, I would have treated her better. She started to tell the security that she has a rude customer, and without listening to me, he started to talk irrationally. Fortunately, the floor manager intervened. He came to my counter in a friendly manner, transacted my purchase, informed me that I got a discount due to the amount of my purchase, offered a cart, etc. He saved the day and is an excellent worker. I don’t ever encounter these problems when I shop and don’t ever contribute to these problem. Thanks to the floor manager who saved the day and my impression of AutoZone. The security guard was really strange … he was trying to stop me from saying that the worker was rude to me. He needs to be retrained along with the female worker. If it wasn’t for the floor manager, he most likely would have removed me from my turn at the counter - sad.

If I could give this store at this location a zero star I would. I needed assistance locating an "alleged" in stock item. I requested assistance from a store employee. She directed me down the incorrect isle and then caught an attitude with me when she realized that she sent me down the wrong isle. I did not see what I was looking for, so I mentioned to her that the website indicated that this item was in stock at this location on Lyons Avenue. She rolled her eyes at me and then in a nasty tone told me that the item was probably in the back, but she wasn't going back there to look for it. The manager of this location as a progressive form of disciplinary action, should give her a verbal and/or letter of reprimand placed in her personal file. If this isn't the first complaint about this female employee, then she should be terminated immediately. Signed- Unhappy Customer

Great service! I called the union location for a fuel pump and was told we have to order it and would take 3to4 days. The Lyons ave location alas said its not stocked but can get it from the warehouse tomorrow! And as promised they had it ready which is Awesome! I recommend this Location, Dennis

This store is getting better exponentially. I used to dread coming to this store as it would normally take way too long to get what I needed and get back to my project. It was an absolute pleasure visiting. The staff was knowledgeable and polite. The person who assisted me was knowledgeable and efficient in getting the part I'd ordered. The store was clean and tidy with nothing out of place. The visit was excellent with me getting exactly what I needed before leaving. Keep up the great work.

I was recently at this location being helped by a nice young man and I could not help but notice the manager, Dana or Diane I believe, displaying very unprofessional and off putting customer service. From the way she talked to her workers, you can instantly tell that she is not providing an enjoyable experience for them. Aside from that, the young man’s charm and readiness to solve my problem made my experience better.

While I had no problem finding my Product waiting for the Cashier took a very long time. I feel that if they had a dedicated Cashier or a fourth person assisting the Customers wait times would've been less.
