I was testing them and ask if they program and install a used ABS MODULE,SOUNDED FRUSTRATED THAT I HAD MY OWN PART!!!THEN TOLD ME THEY A MONTH BACK UP WHICH IS FINE I WAS GONNA GET IT DONE AROUND MAY OR JUNE WASN’T A EMERGENCY SO I CALLED OTHER PLACES THEY WERE MORE POLITE SO YOU KNOW I MADE MY DECISION NOT TO PICK THESE GUYS!!!!!SHOULD TREAT PEOPLE A LOT BETTER
My car kept turning off on me, stalling as well as minor electrical issues with a 9month old battery, no check engine light. I took it to a mechanic prior to bringing it here where the mechanic told me it was my “broken key” & charged me 80 dollars to glue it although I could’ve glued it myself or got a new key with 100 more dollars. My car died again, took it to advanced auto parts where they checked my battery, & it was fine. The gentleman recommended this mechanic shop & I couldn’t be more satisfied! My alternator & belt was replaced that same day by Nyal & I’m so impressed by how my car feels driving! Thank you so much!!
I went here to get my oil change for my Dodge Durango they do very great work. I highly recommend them if you want to get your oil changed. Bring your car here and get your car done for very reasonable price great customer service.
They can do the work but they will definitely overcharge you in everyway they can. The sign says free toll when work is being done but I was still charged for a tow across the street. I bought my own parts and he overcharged me for the labor, was supposed to be 240 in total to add my new axle and control arm but after I bought the parts he said it's 440. and when i went to pay he even tried to bring the price up to 480 but i argued that we already had a deal. If u go here, make sure you act broke because he will take all your money and smile in your face.
Another fine experience. I moved to NJ from NY a number of years ago. I do a lot of my own work on my cars. But, anytime there’s something that I can’t do I always take the job to Nyali. The work is good and the price is right! Thanks again, true life saver!
DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! He is frankly a thief and a lier.
He charged me thousands of dollars to repair my truck , lied about what he did and parts used. All confirmed buy another repair shop that actually fixed my truck. He had no business doing work on cars and should be put out of business. Looking back on the situation I should have seud him.
I had one pleasant experience there, but my next visit confused me. I needed my parking brakes fixed. He said that I needed pads on front and rear. The quote was over $500.00.
I went to a shop in Harlem and was charged $70.00 plus parts ($78.00)
My problem is solved. That's a big difference.
I've been going to belgrave auto Repair fir over 17 years Nyal (owner) has cared for two of my vehicles within those 17 years and I will go nowhere else unless it's a repair nit under his belt (rare). Nyal is awesome and knows his trade WELL. He's HONEST and hard-working. Continue supporting this young man's business he is a gem within his trade He not only works for himself he works for his customers. *Bonus* he's friendly and funny.
So these people are incompetent. I took my car there because my check engine light was on. First he told me I needed new coils even though he told me he did that repair for me before. I was then told I had a possible blown head gasket which was false. Mechanic changed my fuel injectors and my check engine light came back on. I went to another mechanic in Union who fixed my car as well as helped me solve an additional issue these people couldn’t figure out. I have wasted my money here! Never again!
I was in the area looking at a car and happened to stop by Belgraves to have it inspected. The team was super responsive, honest and accurate with their feedback. I don’t live in the area, (actually visited from NYC), and can say, it’s difficult to find quality and honestly from places I’ve worked with in the past. Five stars for the team here. They saved me a lot of time and cash. Belgraves is worth the visit if you need to have your car looked at.
I am very angry and disappointed with Belgraves effort and the high prices. I was made aware that the job could have been done half the time and half the price. I am very disappointed and will not be bringing my business to this shop anymore. If only he could have fair prices with regards to the area and the amount of work. Be aware and receive second opinions and alternative prices before making a decision to fix your car at Belgraves.

Nyal is a decent mechanic and runs a pretty tight shop. His prices are fair and he doesn't over charge for his services. The reasoning behind my rating however is because it appears Nyal is limited in his knowledge of transmission repair although the shop sign indicates transmission repairs. I took my 2013 Town and Country to the shop because my tranny was slipping from a few days prior. I left my car with the shop for three days. I received a call in Monday that the issue was repaired (tranny had no oil? Where'd it go? I hadn't noticed any leaks). I picked up my van and an hour later the tranny began to slip and whine badly. I took the van back that very day and was advised that I'd need a rebuilt or used transmission.
I needed a second opinion and took my car to a nearby competitor. When the van was placed on the lift, the shop owner instantly noticed that the van had a bad solenoid that was leaking the tranny dry. He replaced the solenoid within 20 minutes and viola! No more tranny issues
