Our experience was great!! We got exactly what we were looking for, the car was ready when we pulled up, and we were in an out. We worked with Emily, she is awesome! I fully recommend working with her and her sales manager Bill! Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with!

Very easy process. Personable & knowledgeable staff. No upsell. Loved the ease of pulling into an enclosed area. And the complimentary car wash was fabulous & the icing on the cake!

I had my oil change and wipers done at Volkswagen world of Newton. I was actually really pleased that they cleaned the inside of my car and the mats. That was a real nice touch on their part. Service was good and efficient.

Today Luis and his team at VW Newton NJ went above and beyond to service my Volkswagen beetle. The service was done in a timely fashion, reasonably priced and I left, knowing I would return again when I need service in the future.

Vincent was wonderful I had to remembrance plaque on my window for my daughter and I asked if he can get off if he couldn’t don’t worry about it he goes no no that’s for your daughter. I’ll make sure we get it off and they did and then put it on my new car. I can’t thank him enough. I had a great experience and I love my car. and I also like to thank Amanda too. She was wonderful. I kept them going from car to car it was cold out, but she didn’t care if she went and got the cars for me to look at. I highly recommend recommend Vincent and Amanda if you’re ever gonna look for a car at the Volkswagen dealership

Cole was very professional, explained the details of what they were going to do for the 30k maintenance visit, explained the charges and the approximate wait time. When asked if I can get the car recall done on the same visit, he checked with the service guys and were able to accommodate my request. Cole even got me a loaner car so I can do my errands and returned in the afternoon to take my car back!

Avoid!! I brought my car in for routine service at 14k miles and no concerns were brought up on multi point inspection. I bring my car back again at 20k miles for routine service and now all of a sudden I am being told that my brake pads are at 1mm and I need rear brake pads and rotors out of pocket. There is no way that in 7k miles and a car with 20k miles that the rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. Any reputable service department would have caught signs of this at my previous appointment. I have since learned (by researching on my own) that there was a service bulletin put out for my vehicle for an extended brake pad warranty which I was never informed about. I have left multiple messages for Stewart and Luis, I have spoken with Cole and the front desk to get this resolved and no one will return my calls or email me copies of my previous service records as requested. At this point I can’t help but feel like the extended warranty information was withheld from me on purpose so the repairs would not be covered. For a dealership to ignore this major red flag and safety concern is very scary and to be gaslit by being told that this is normal wear and not their problem because the previous service tech and advisor no longer work there is frankly dishonest and extremely shady. Hopefully after this review I will finally get someone to call me back.

I love driving VWs, but I will not be letting this location service my car again—and I definitely won’t be purchasing my next vehicle here. A few months ago, I came in for what would be my final warranty service, and at the time everything seemed perfectly fine. No concerns were raised, no recommendations were made, and I was told my vehicle passed their “complimentary multipoint inspection” with no issues. Fast-forward just one month, and suddenly I’m being told I need new brakes, new rotors, and 4 new tires—all at my own expense. These are not small, sudden failures. Any reputable service department would have caught signs of wear during the inspection, especially if the work was going to be covered under warranty. The fact that they didn’t mention a single thing when the repairs would’ve been free, only for everything to show up immediately after, feels extremely suspicious and frankly dishonest. To make matters worse, no explanation was provided. No technician walked me through what changed, no photos, no measurements of tread depth or brake wear—nothing. When a dealership advertises a “free multipoint inspection” every service, but still misses (or ignores) major safety issues, that’s a huge red flag. They prioritize profit over your safety. I won’t be returning.

The customer service was excellent. This was my first Volkswagen I've owned and they were very helpful with all my questions. The service was quick and even washed my car. I had great experience and look forward to future ones. Thank you

This is probably the smoothest experience at a dealership I have ever experienced. The staff were friendly, respectful, informative and reasonable. I will add that as a woman buying a car, I have never been so comfortable. Shout out to Vincent, Bill, and Greg!

This place has changed for the better once this new service manager has arrived and new service advisors as well. I saw the way some customers treated the advisors, I heard so much complaining while I waited for my service. When an advisor provides a diagnosis being honest with you, for them to turn around and bash them and not wanting to pay is ridiculous. You own the car maintain it, not technician or advisors fault. Everyone wants something for Free, it's a shame. I see how the service manager handled it , if you are reading this very well done sir!! My service on the other hand was great. Quick service, Stewart was very detailed, car washed, provided recommendations that I will be coming back for in a month. I am happy is all I can say!!!

I'm not happy. I paid them to overhaul the blue def system on my VW TDI Passat. I got the car back and discovered it had a blue def leak. I took it back, they charged me $218.50, including tax to diagnose the problem, when I told them what the problem was. They insisted that it wasn't their fault and wanted to charge me an additional $1400.00 to fix the leak they caused. I won't go back. I still love VW's, this VW dealership isn't trustworthy.

Very pleased with the service I received at VW of Newton. They communicated with me every step of the way, and had my car repaired quickly. (It had been towed in - not a scheduled service). Overall good experience

I changed my review after I had my oil change. Turns out that they never put oil in my car during my oil change. 2 days after that service. White smoke came out of the exhaust and then my oil light came on and I had a burning smell. When I went to check the oil. It was bone dry! There was no oil leak. No oil spots in my garage or at my parking spots. I added full 2 quarts of oil. Since then… no smoke. I took it back to have them acknowledge their mistake. Instead… the made up a story that my engine needed to be taken apart to replace missing caps/covers of some kind ( my husband knows what they are) that they first said were off completely. Supposedly causing a consumption issue Then when my husband asked how that would be possible and my car still running. Then the story quickly changed to oh.. not off …there are slightly moved. Again he pushed back and asked how that can be seen without removing at least $1,000+ dollars of labor time removing the specific parts in the car in order to see that?? Then it suddenly was a “defect” in the engine. So my husband asked then that it a manufacturers defect so why are you quitting us $5,000+ to tear down and rebuild the engine of this defect?? The service advisor had no answer, it didn’t register. That’s a big journey away from owning up to, not originally putting oil in the car during the oil change. My oil level is fine. Since I Put oil in it! I will spare you the details of the quirky screen issue that only occasionally took a bit to recognize my Bluetooth. Yeah…. I was quoted $1,000+ to “reset” it. It works perfectly fine it just had an occasional connection quirk lol this place is beyond criminal They are negligent and predatory. Even Watching a few YouTube tutorials and risking it by doing it yourself and of course failing several times is better than taking it there Honestly…. If my car was dying and I had to carry its nearly lifeless metal body to another state to receive its last rights. I’d happily do it before I even thought about going there. Oh and in regards to the service managers response below. I have left numerous messages for him. I have also contacted Volkswagen customer support and they cannot get this Luis person to respond.

I sent my VW Beetle into Newton VW for oil change and brake job. Steward courteously assisted and made sure work was done in timely manner - he even got me a few discounts. Thanks, Stewart (Newton VW team) for a job well done!!! -Darryl

Avoid this shop and dealership!! We took our Jetta TDI to this shop for repairs after hitting debris on the highway. They claim our insurance declined to replace a fan that was broken during the accident, however the insurance company has no record of this. Then without notifying us they decided to install a broken fan on to a $472 fan shroud. When this broken fan spun it destroyed the fan shroud they charged us for as well as the radiator they installed. We’ve since repaired the vehicle ourselves. All we ask for is refunded for the $472 fan shroud they destroyed. They will not return our calls now.

Do not go here!! I would give this place 0 stars. I brought my car in due to my check engine light being on. I explained to Andrew that this is a newer car with only 60k miles on it, and after running the diagnostics he told me it was the oil separator and cover that needed to be replaced. He then tells me that it will be 1,200 for labor and $600 for the part….. which online the part cost less than $100. I asked him to submit a good will claim and he told me he would contact Volkswagen and would get back to me the next day. Well, 4pm comes out the next day and I heard nothing. I call the dealership and get hung up on MULTIPLE times while I was just trying to check the status of my vehicle. So unprofessional!!! After multiple times of calling, a lady told me that service had left for the day, which is a total lie since the dealership was open until 6pm. They had my car overnight and didn’t contact ANYONE for the claim or notify me of my vehicle, which was the opposite of what they told me they would do. Instead, Andrew sent me a text the next morning after I called 10 times, saying my car was “ready” when nothing had been done to it. He was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. When I asked him why nothing was done to the car, he had no answer and no knowledge on what needed to be done for my car. No one was willing to help me since I wasn’t paying their dealership $1,800 for what I’m sure was a total lie. Please avoid this place at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful.

I purchased a 2025 VW Atlas Cross Sport and can’t say enough good things about my experience at VW World of Newton. From start to finish, the entire process was phenomenal. Bill, the manager, was outstanding — he walked me through each step and helped me make smart, informed decisions. His professionalism and knowledge made all the difference. Amanda was equally amazing! She took the time to go over all the features of my new car and made sure everything was set up perfectly before I drove off the lot. Her patience and attention to detail were truly appreciated. The entire staff was incredibly courteous, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. This was by far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be back for my next vehicle and will be recommending VW World of Newton to all of my friends and family. If you’re in the market for a car, this is the place to go.

Do not go here. I brought my car in when the EPC light came on, thinking VW would be a better choice than my trusted mechanic—big mistake. I was told I needed certain repairs, paid $1,800, and drove off the lot. The very next day the same issue came back. When I brought it back, I was told it didn’t make sense to fix my car because of all the other repairs it needed. Why wasn’t I told that before spending $1,800? There was no conversation that the fix probably wouldn’t won't be worth it until I brought it back in. While they claim transparency, it's just a show. They said I could apply the $1,800 toward a new vehicle, but days passed with poor communication, and it didn’t seem like my “credit” made any real difference in pricing. It felt like a way to wash their hands of the problem. When I declined to purchase a car, I spent nearly two weeks trying to reach the service manager, Lewis—leaving multiple voicemails and being told he’d call me back, which never happened. I left over 7 voicemails and messages to Lewis. I even called the general manager, who claimed I hadn’t left a message. It wasn’t until I threatened to report the issue to the state that I finally got a call, only to be told there was no way I’d get a refund while them just protecting themselves. I should have stayed with my local mechanic, Northeast Auto, who has always been transparent—something this dealership failed to provide. If you want poor communication from most staff including management, zero accountability, and no transparency, go here. If you want honesty, respect, and care, go somewhere else. I will say that Stu from the service team was helpful in getting me into loaners and responding in a timely manner—kudos to him for actually showing care. Maybe management could learn from him.

This shop knowingly, and admittedly, reinstalled a broken radiator fan into my Jetta TDI. The car went in for a broken radiator and fan after I hit something on the highway. They submitted the claim to insurance, but their labor price was so high they had to use aftermarket parts “so insurance would cover it.” I understood, and approved that, although when I talked to Statefarm they have no record of any request being denied. I certainly never approved reinstalling the broken fan, and was not told they would do that. It seems insane to shove a broken fan back in behind a brand new radiator and let it spin and damage the radiator, which it did. They charged $472 and 1.1hrs labor to install the fan shroud. which was also destroyed by reinstalling a broken fan onto it. After complaining, they made no effort to fix the issue, so I bought the entire fan and shroud assembly for $170 and it took me .5hr to install myself. (Its literally 4 bolts). Im not sure if this shop is dishonest, or just incompetent. Im leaning toward just incompetent. To end this bizarre >month long experience, I will say Cole was nice enough to drive (the broken and rattling car) 17min away to a place I could more easily pick it up, which was nice of him to do, although I wish he would have told me the horrible noises it was making. In conclusion, I paid $3,100 and now have a Jetta with an aftermarket damaged radiator, a $472 broken piece of plastic. and a month of lost time without the vehicle.

Update: The response from Luis at the dealership is simply not true. Not only did I call repeatedly for one week asking to speak to someone, I called day of my appointment. Also, the leak did NOT start after windshield was replaced. It was initially brought in for the leak. This dealership didn’t have the capability to replace the windshield. This last time, I asked to specifically speak to Luis regarding the issue as the manager, he refused to take my call, did not call me back, and still has yet to help resolve the issue. - I called and spoke to Stuart, he was less than helpful and assured me Luis would be calling, did not receive a phone call. Colleen called, she was going to confirm my loaner, I called her back to confirm she did not return my call. I spoke to Bill the sales manager, he said he would see what was going on since Luis was in on the day of my appointment - he has not called me back neither. So while I appreciate the google review response to try to save face, future customers please use caution when dealing with this dealership. This has honestly been the worst dealership experience I’ve ever had. I’ve brought my car to World of Newton Volkswagen four different times for the same exact leak and it’s still not fixed. The first three visits, they told me it was the windshield, it was replaced it 3 times, and the problem never went away. The fourth time, they said it was the sunroof “levels” and that they corrected it — less than two weeks later, it was leaking again. At this point, it feels like they either don’t know how to fix it or just don’t care. The customer service has been just as frustrating. A manager refused to take my call. I had an appointment scheduled with a loaner and they cancelled it without even telling me. I left a message for the general manager and never got a call back. Spoke to another manager, he never called back. And the craziest experience before this, which should have been my clue to stop going there? After scheduling a detail in July, an employee actually called me on his personal phone (so it wasn’t on a recorded line) and told me not to even bring my car there. If that doesn’t say everything, I don’t know what does. I’ve always driven Volkswagens, but after this experience, this will be my last. It’s a shame the brand allows this dealership to carry their name.

I always take my Volkswagen here for servicing. They are normally accommodating to get me in promptly for service and offer drop off or pick up. Anthony took care of me this weekend and Nelson! Those guys are great! Jennifer delivers excellent customer service every time!
