I drove all the way out here and they would not take my aluminum cans. What a waste of time in an area where I was almost hit three times by cars.

I'd say this the best scrap yard for non-ferrous scrap for miles. Some say that yards in the city pay a little better, but I can't really confirm that because I'm never out that way anyway, and the only way I'd go out there is if I knew the prices were significantly higher, which I doubt. Their prices are better than Brock Auto, Wellston Scrap, Scrap Mart, and Didion Orf. Sometimes Scrap Mart pays equally on certain things, but rarely ever more. So this place is worth going to 99% of the time unless you're already in Valley Park and you have scrap iron and aluminum cans to turn in. This place doesn't take that stuff. One downside is that the parking area is pretty tight, so going there with a trailer is going be a nightmare during their busier times. And when it gets really busy, you can often find yourself getting blocked in by other scrappers. One other downside is they have a rule against breaking down material in the yard (which is actually a great rule), but it looks like no one ever enforces it. There will be guys taking up a potential parking spot just to break stuff down, and sometimes they'll just do it right at the scale. They actually have a really good system there, but when they get people like that, it's easy for them to get backed up badly. I try to avoid going there any time after 2:00, because that's when it seems to be the worst. All the workers and owners there are really nice, but I guess a little too nice sometimes with the lack of enforcement for some of their rules. If their only problem was the parking, then I would still give them five stars because they can't really help that, but having to wait behind some guy who decided the best time to separate his copper is right when it's his turn at the scale really irks the hell out of me. So basically, just don't bring a trailer and don't go after 2:00, and you'll more than likely be in and out of there pretty quickly. Awesome place overall.

I'm a licensed dealer for Tennessee the prices here suck so if you are looking for a place to get rid of cats this isn't the place. I'll keep checking for a better price.

Absolutely disorganized. Far to small of a lot in the corner of a parking lot of another business. Could barely get in and immediately left couldn't get help from anyone. Stay away awful place

They pay top dollar. I've price checked every recycling company in the St Louis area and Metro pays the most for your scrap.

The best and fairest place to get some extra money in ya pockets for all the scrap you can find on the street

It is ILLEGAL to buy catalytic converters without a title or a business license to sell them, the "Hispanic" guy is doing his job so none of us go to jail for buying illegal materials. The guy in front of you was "part of the club" because he has a legitimate business working on vehicles and sells us auto parts daily. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but we do not make the rules, we just have to follow them! The thieves have made it hard on everyone! As far as the comment about copper being .85 cents...you absolutely have us mistaken for another company, it has literally been YEARS since we last paid .85 cents/pd for copper... Today's copper market is over $3/pd. Feel free to call any time for pricing over the phone!

When I first drove up and pulled my copper out i had to get one piece together still. Not sure of the guy but a Hispanic guy had an attitude and told me I had to get it together somewhere else and I was the only one there at the time. So I left and came back gave them 61lbs of copper and asked the price its selling for. It's going for 85 cents they say. I think about it eventually go with it but I had a moment looked it up before my check was wrote out and change my mind cause market price is 1.57 so they where trying to cheat me. So now we had words and bad blood. Basically they will cheat you. Take your recycling goods somewhere else.
