Used AAA to get my spare tire on. Was happy with the service time and communication. Was unhappy that the driver who had a pair of gloves on didn’t put the flat in the back of my trunk due to it having wires coming out of it I cut myself in the process but eventually handled it. Driver was great at communicating when he would be arriving since it was going to be later than what the AAA website told me. Overall very quick service and very helpful
Dishmans took any already awful situation and made it immensely more complicated and worse. Our son got into a wreck driving home from work on Dec 23. They showed up and towed his car before I could fill out the AAA request. Gave my son no information on where they were taking the car, how to contact them, or anything. When I called early the next morning on Dec 24, I was informed that they would not let my son (college kid who drives the car) handle anything. Had to be the registered owners. And we had to come to the office in person to pay for services. After I explained I live over 5 hours away and asked if my son who lives in Rolla could handle payment, they said no he could not. Had to be the registered owner. Turns out it was $75 a CALENDAR day. There office was closing for the day, and earliest I would be allowed to come to the office would be Friday. They charged me for each day despite the fact they were closed. HOW IS IT FAIR TO CONTINUE TO CHARGE PEOPLE WHEN YOU GIVE THEM NO OPTION TO COME IN?!! If I didn’t come Friday, pay, and have the car moved, I would be charged 3 more days, Luckily we found another company in town who was willing to move the car to their lot. I drove 5 hours to Dishmans and barely made it before they closed again. The whole time, the lady answering the phone was curt, rude, and completely unsympathetic to our predicament. She offered no advice or solutions. The worse customer service experience ever.
The City should seriously investigate the business practices of Ron Dishman Towing. They take advantage of people on some of the worst days of their lives.
Our son was involved in a wreck while driving home from work on December 23. Dishman Towing arrived on scene and towed his vehicle before my wife could complete a AAA tow request. They provided my son with no information—no location of the vehicle, no contact details, nothing.
When my wife called the following morning on December 24, she was told they would not work with our son at all, despite the fact that he is a local college student, the primary driver of the vehicle, and fully capable of handling payment. She was informed that only the registered owners could do anything and that payment had to be made in person. After explaining that we live over five hours away, the answer was still no.
She was then told storage was $75 per calendar day. Their office was closing for the holiday, and the earliest she could physically arrive was Friday. Despite being closed, they continued charging daily storage fees. In effect, we were told: show up Friday, pay, and move the car immediately—or be charged for additional days they would also be closed over the weekend. No alternatives were offered.
Thankfully, another towing company in town was willing to relocate the vehicle on Friday. My wife drove five hours to Dishman’s office and barely made it before they closed again. Throughout the entire process, the woman answering the phone was curt, dismissive, and completely unsympathetic. No guidance. No solutions. Just rigid policies and poor attitude.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had.
Rolla is a college town. Families from all over the country send their kids here trusting that the community will act with basic fairness and decency when things go wrong. This experience raises serious concerns about the integrity of some local businesses and whether they deserve the community’s trust—or future business.
Although the tow service was fine for my husband, the customer service I received by two employees later the same day was awful! I will not be doing busy there again nor will I recommend them to anyone.
Would not recommend. My niece had a crash Friday afternoon by Walmart they towed the car to their lot . She wanted to pick it up Saturday. It had 2 flat tires. They're not open to pick up on Saturday I had to wait until Monday. They changed her for 4 days storage. It cost her 850$ . They told us it wasn't drivable and would not let us look at it. All we wanted was to get the car. It took us over 2 hours.
My son's car broke down and dishman came out, knew exactly what the issue was, and towed it to the dealership. Very knowledgeable and I appreciate the calmness and understanding. I would use your service again if ever needed, but hopefully I don't need it anytime soon. Thanks
They are rip off thieves , April 2 my daughter had a wreck outside of Rolla on I44, they towed the car, when we went two days later to clean out the car, they charged me over 700.00 or I would not be able to get anything out of it and the title of the car, everyone needs to be prepared if they get towed by them!!!!
Ron has always helped us out of every jam that me or my kids has been in from being stranded somewhere or in a wreck always quick , courteous , and very reasonable priced . My first call always
So during the ice storm I was heading down my driveway like I had several time and hit a big patch of ice and it slid off into a big ravine and Ron came out a couple days later to pull out our car as soon as he could and got our car out with ease
Great service! I got my truck stuck in a nearly impossible spot and had multiple people try to help, but no one could get it out. Then Ron came out and did an amazing job! He got my truck out of the mess I put it in with no trouble at all. The service was top-notch, and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you ever find yourself in a tough situation, don’t hesitate to call this company. They can get the job done!
These people are thieves! I had emergency cash in my vehicle that they helped themselves to when they took my car to their lot instead of my residence despite their instructions. Also, their reputation is so much in the toilet that my insurance company wouldn't allow them to keep my car. I was in a semi accident and the police called Dishman towing as they are the AAA provider and I have AAA which covers me not the car. Ron was very rude as I was on hold with AAA to transfer the tow over and told me to hurry up. When I advised him I was on hold with AAA and couldn't make the process any faster he took my vehicle with a slew of profanities. I'm new to town, but after sharing my experience with my coworkers who have known this family I hear that is just how they are. My insurance adjuster also advised me that this is a common tactic for them; they know the insurance company will pay the fees and then get to part and scrap it. Being in a total loss accident is traumatic, it shouldn't be compounded by rude people who will help themselves to your personal items and cash.
I have used Ron Dishman towing time and time again. Whether it’s something as simple as a jump start, or as complicated as a full blown tow. There are without fail punctual, efficient, friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
I am very appreciative of the services that Ron Dishman towing provided! I was locked out of my car last winter and they got to me so quickly and didn’t leave me out in the cold long! Best and most trustworthy people to call!
I spoke with the owner and she was quite rude. All I did was ask about getting my car released to my insurance company after it was ran off the road by a semi. I was polite and she was extremely hateful and when I asked her why she was being rude what I had done incorrectly and what else I needed to do she was even more hateful and snappy. I would not recommend anyone use thier services unless you enjoy dealing with rude people.
Absolute amazing professionals. I was in an absolute bind when I backed my SUV off a 3-4’ embankment of chert rock. I went off sideways and not entirely sure how I didn’t roll. This absolute magician of a tow truck driver comes in, backs down the narrow cert drive next to a building and did all kinds of trickery to pull my vehicle away from the trees and up the embankment— sideways I tell you! Not one bit of damage from his work dragging me out of that mess. Absolute professional.
