I was driving westward down hwy and my tire pressure light comes on so i googled auto shops near me, found gautier auto to be on my route pulled in asked politely if they offered air service. They was fixing to close but one mechanic said pull in this stall. Within 2 minutes I was back on the road a very happy guest. Thank you Gautier Automotive for ur customer service care!
Im only giving these incompetent, disrespectful so called mechanics 1 star bc I can't give em zero. I took my 2019 mustang to them only 1 year ago for a "simple" everyday kinda repair., rotors and brakes. They were the only ones to touch my car for this at that point. I was new to town and thought that Gautier Automotive was the prime GOOD Ol Boy neignborhood shop where your Daddy or Brother may work so I was happy to give em my business and hard earned money and trust them with my vehicle that I depend on everyday, as most of us do. Unfortunately this was the WRONG choice. Within ONLY 6 months I had to have the work that the owner Dale approved and the work that his "Lead" mechanic performed redone ALL over carelessness, unprofessionalism, and or possibly just plain stupidity. A bolt was left sticking out, not flush which caused hot spots on my "new" rotors. On top of that all the parts on my brake pads they replaced were bone dry. Also, Since I did not have much money I could only get 1 set rotors/brake pads (front ones) replaced and they talked me into replacing my back brake pads also which apparently was only a waste of money for me bc since I still needed the rotors done I would only have to do the brake pads over again at that time, costing me more money. Especially considering all "moving parts" had absolutely zero lubricant. Which as a woman i know that isn't good. Then tried to tell me the actual good mechanics who corrected their shotty work and mistakes were lying to me, but then they also had the audacity to accuse me of actually getting down there taking my tire off and loosening the bolt just to be able to "damn their name" end quote!!!! I am appalled at these jerks and more so at myself for trusting them!!! Everybody but especially Ladies absolutely don't make the same mistake i did. Further more they never once referred to me as the 40 something year old, sophisticated LADY that I am instead they addressed me as "girl" as if I am a nothing but a bubble gum chewing teeny bopping little girl that I haven't been in many moons!!! They were very disrespectful in that regard from the start. I just didn't realize it then. And now I had to spend double to get their mistakes corrected and STILL need my back ones replaced. SMH I am so upset that I put my trust and faith in them and by the way MY Dad or Brother would never treat anyone as poor as they have treated me. It's a damn shame!!! And fyi, their work or lack of caused me to miss a planned road trip to be w my family which could've been the last chance to do so!!! I am disgusted with Gautier Automotive and the jokers that run it!! For the person who said t hey need to be taken to court and sued im working on saving the money to do exactly that!!!! If you need work done go anywhere but here!!!!
I went in and said I wanted a rocker arm replaced because it was clicking. I was told to leave my vehicle with them. He said he wanted to find out where the missing was. I said I don’t worry about the miss. I want the rocker arm fixed. He called said it was fixed. He rode with me and still rocker clicking and misfire. Said he replaced fuel injector and coil and plug. After paying for this went home angry and went back he said he would redo the coil and plug. Went to do that and he told me he wasn’t doing anything. And he didn’t work on rocker arms. That was the sole reason I went there for. But he did that work knowing it was rocker arm.
I have read other reviews even worse about him. Beware of unknowing mechanics. There is a lot more to it than what I have posted.
Up date. 9/22/2022 please do not trust these people with your auto. They won’t even respond to a BBB complaint. My opinion is they are dishonest and they lied straight out to me. Someone with enough money needs to have a lawyer take them to court. Beware of what maybe some phony nice reviews by maybe friends.
Truck spent 3 weeks in the shop, even though I supplied the parts, just to be damaged while they were working on it. Was quoted $850 for clutch replacement only for it to top out over $1300 and then another $400+ to replace the battery and find a ground fault. I can understand the prices due to my flywheel being difficult, and how hard it is to track down a ground fault....but not the damaged parts. Especially them being left damaged. I was handed broken battery mounts when I got there, and had to crawl under my truck to find out what was making the noises when I got home. Unacceptable.
Update: a day after I recieved the vehicle the check engine light came on and my cruise control didn't work. Apparently my clutch wasn't adjusted properly. I spent all afternoon fixing that to get my cruise control back.
I had walked in and asked for the price of installing breaks that were already purchased. Without looking at the part or my vehicle I was told that they were wrong and I was to take them back and let him order the correct ones. Also I would need new calupers and new rotars.. (Both in excellent shape) was told to expect to spend at least. $600.00. My Boyfriend and I now use a different company for repairs.
An elderly woman needed help moving her car. It wouldn't crank, and was blocking a business. One call to Dale... she and I was taken care of by the best. Thanks Dale!
