Definitely my new go to mechanic! These guys are great! Great service, quick response time and availability, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and fair prices! I recommend choosing Speltz Auto for any of your auto repair needs. They've helped tow my vehicle on a weekend for a decent price, repaired my broke down vehicle specifically to my desire and even helped unlock my vehicle quickly in a pinch. These guys are the best!

I broke down on 1-90. AAA called Speltz for towing. They were prompt, personable and professional. They made some calls to assist in locating business to do needed repairs. We were back on the road within two hours. We were extremely happy with their service. I would use them again!

Brought my car in because of what seemed like starter issues. A new starter was installed, even though the car was never actually diagnosed. When the starter replacement finished, they started my car once and called it good. When I came to pick up - car wouldn’t start. My car was then in the shop an additional day to actually go in and figure out the problem. When attempting to reach a compromise with the owner about knocking off the labor for the second day of work because of negligence, we were rudely told no. The owner then proceeded to toss my debit card at me at the end of the transaction. The owner told me that they didn’t feel like diagnosing it because they said I told them I had an issue with the starter. When I told them that I expect that, as the professionals, they would diagnose the car - I was told that that isn’t their job. These people are just trying to take advantage of others. Absolute worst experience at a mechanic, do not go here.

Would never recommend this place to anyone! Called to make an appointment and when asked if I was "using my daddy's credit card" should have been the moment I hung up the phone. The person behind the counter is very rude, mostly to women - I waked in to get my car he glanced me up and down stated "what do you want" I proceeded to grab my things and have NEVER stepped foot in this place again.

As I was heading North through Winona on the 4 lane highway, I got a flat tire. I called Speltz Auto, and Greg arrived quickly! My tire was too damaged to repair, so he put my spare on. Greg was friendly and helpful! He gave me good advice and sent me on my way. Thank you!

Went through AAA to get my car towed. Dude never showed up at the estimated time. A hour went by and finally called AAA and they called, said they'd be there in 40 minutes. Never showed up.

Second time here to get work done on our Durango and did a fantastic job. There was a miss understanding on a service provided with the a/c that was already done from our old family mechanic last June in Phoenix and they took the charge off of the bill wich was huge cause we are new here and we are looking for a great new family mechanic along with really only had enough to get what we needed to get done as I'm starting my new job next week, along with them letting us know we needed new shocks on the front and had them do that for us too. They are very reasonably priced and top quality work. Very highly recommend and well continue to have them take care of our mechanical issues. Thanks Ken for the awesome customer service and work performed. We will make sure we are more clear with each other on the next time we come in for something else.

Speltz' employees were knowledgable and courteous. They were able to quickly diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle and had personal experience with my older make and model. Their prices were comparable and they presented themselves as friendly and competent and proved it. If I have any car trouble I will go to them again.

There is a man working there that is super rude. Last August after not agreeing on some repair cost with my mom, he threw the car keys at her at said take your dam! car. My mom of course paid in full the repair. The guy before leaving asked her no to go around town telling other people about their customer service quality.

I thought he was pretty rude. I'm widow with little kids and on a fixed income. Tried to compromise with him on price and he gave me dirty look and rudely said now. I even said fine I will contact someone else and he sent cop by my car to make me use this tow guy. If I would have been able to get ahold of different tow person I would of not used this company.. these guys have no sympathy what do ever. Also they don't submit bill to insurance company

It's hard to find quality and honesty in mechanics. Speltz has both. I go here for all my automotive needs and highly recommend them to everyone that'll listen.

I am GENEROUSLY giving them 1 star because negative stars is not an option. Anyone giving them a good review works for them, is a friend/family member, or is unfortunate enough to not understand they are being ripped off. After getting a quote they wanted twice as much when I went to pick up my vehicle. AND I was told that my vehicle was way past due for an oil change, apparently he didn't see the sticker that indicated the oil had been changed 2 WEEKS earlier! Now a friend of mine needed 1 new wheel bearing and Speltz is trying to charge he over $500, for this price she should have gotten 2 bearings and then some. But he wasn't busy and had time to do it.... General rule, if you have time to wait, go to a busy shop, they are busy for a good reason!

Not the best customer service...just little things made it kind of frustrating both times I’ve been here. I called ahead & scheduled a time for an oil change. The guy asked for my name so I assumed he wrote it down. But I guess not, when I went the next day another guy was there & said my name wasn’t anywhere. He asked if I called the right place...I said yep 🙄 He said they’d squeeze me in, told me it would take about 1 1/2 hr (just for an oil change) & that they’d call when it was done. Over 2 hours went by & they hadn’t called me, so I had to call to make sure it was done. Not all a big deal, but it’s nice when customer service is more prompt at getting back to you.

Was told my car would be ready in a half hour, but it took over two hours. After the half hour passed they wouldn't give me a new time estimate so I was just stuck waiting there the whole time and their only explain was that "these things happen sometimes".

I took it to them to have a fuel line fixed. They put my car on a lift and broke the brake lines! We made it a mile and lost all brakes. I called them about it, took pictures, and BOB said,” we will tow it to the junk yard for you! But we won’t work on it. That’s not our problem!” And hung up. Do NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE!!!

Had to get my van towed late at night. Called the next morning and they said when I brought my key they'd work on it right away. Within a half hour got a call that they figured out it was the battery and they'd have it changed in a half hour. Super impressed, very professional.

Rude and wanted to charge me $35 for a new bulb for my headlight. I have a hard time trusting mechanics as it is, but to have one who is condescending and rolls their eyes at you when you tell them you just needed an estimate is just ridiculous. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will never be going back here. First mechanic I tried in this town is definitely a miss.

I was referred to call here to get my car fixed and wasn't on the phone for more than a minute before I knew I'd never walk in there. They were so rude and condecending on the phone and made me feel like an idiot when I knew what I was talking about, terrible customer service.

I use to get my car done here all the time. they had great customer service and was always treated fairly . this last time i was treated very rudely , my son got married so i was busy for 4 days and they got ahold of me and asked me when i was going to get my car out of their lot after they had fixed it. I felt bad that i did not pick it up right away . But it was crazy. Then when i went to pick it up the guy told me to wait a second because he was helping the guy infront of me and i said okay . so then i started filling out my check and he said something like 30 seconds later but i did not know he was talking to me cause he had just told me to wait . and the guy was still there that he was helping and then he said very rudly " YOU WHO" i am talking to you . and i was like wow . I just have never been treated so poorly . Needless to so i will no longer being going to them for service.

I had a string of bad luck with my two vehicles a few weeks ago, and Speltz helped me out each time. My first vehicle has a water pump go out and the driver picked up my wife within 30 minutes and towed her all of the way to Rochester, MN. The driver was courteous and professional during the whole ordeal. A few days later, I punctured a tire, and the same driver was dispatched to tow me into the dealership! During this tow he was also professional and courteous! These guys made the best of an rough week for me! Thank You for the great service!

Needed to pull a car out of a large, side-hill ditch. There were closer service centers but Speltz came to the rescue! Driver was AMAZING, VERY FRIENDLY, AND SUPER HELPFUL at 1AM!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Speltz is a lifesaver! Two days before we had to leave the dorms for summer the muffler of my car rusted off and was scraping down the road. I called just to get an estimate, because I wasn't sure if I could afford it or get it fixed in time. Within two hours they had found me a easy inexpensive fix and I was driving out of there with the car sounding better than it ever had. It wasn't just a short term fix either! They said as long as I'm not running things over all the time it could last a life time. Speltz is the best!

If you are looking for a mechanic who is honest, and won't take advantage go here to Speltz. Not only did they come under the original quote, but got my car in and out VERY quickly!!!! I've tried different places, like Joe's Auto or my car's dealership, and both places made it seem like I needed something that I did not. And then try to sell me on something else, especially Joe's. GO TO SPELTZ!!!!! You will be happy you did!!! :)

As a female college student from 3 hours away I was recommended to Speltz by a friend. Ever since going there the first time, they have become my main maintenance crew while in school. They are honest and I feel as though I can trust their advice and pricing. While I wouldn't list organization as a strength of theirs, if you clearly communicate what you are looking for and generally stay in touch with the same individual everyone ends up happy. Sure enough, no more that two days after I told my wife her car wasn't going to just stop working, she got stuck in the Walmart parking lot in Winona. We live in Holmen so I drove over there to try and jump it but it wouldn't start. We called the Toyota dealer who didn't do towing, but gave us the number of Speltz. A truck came over in about 15 mins and was able to get the car running in no time (needed a new starter he stated). The dealer told us "they might get to it tomorrow" so we decided to have Speltz fix it who said they'd have it done by noon the next day. We drove home that night (was about 7 or 8 pm by this point) and got a call the next day at about 10:30 am that the new starter was installed and we could pick it up. All in all, a good experience and very prompt service. I didn't see any "shady" dealings going on and we weren't given any runarounds. Thanks!

If they tow your car from behind draught house/cheaters/mason jar, just walk to their lot on the corner of 3rd and liberty and drive away. Better then paying $300+ to get your stolen car back.

Horrible experience. When I had the towing company come they looked at my car and decided it needed to be towed, However they didn't give me any other suggestions of places that do auto repair they just told me they could take it to Speltz. Then they told me that my car would be done Thursday afternoon or Friday Morning. However, when my dad called Thursday they didn't even know my car was outside their shop then they told him that it would be done by Friday at 1pm but when I called them on Friday at 11am they didn't know when it would be done. Then at 230pm on Friday I went to the shop and they said they had just started working on the car and told me it wouldn't be done by the time they closed on Friday and it would "probably" be done on Saturday "sometime". DO NOT GO THERE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR NEEDS!
