New in town. Found this shop on a recommendation to replace the mechanics I had for 20 years in Vegas.
Went in for oil change, and needed additional work, they fully explained and showed me the issue.
A day later I had screeching noises.. took it back i. They fixed the very minor issue and sent me on my way! They also showed me what the issue was, while they fixed it.
I found my new mechanics!

Excellent experience. I had been hit in the rear, with liftgate and rear glass damage. Brought the vehicle in on a Monday and they had it done by Thursday of the same week. Very professional and a pleasure to work with.
Would leave 0 if could, went to these guys for years and James been my main dude. This time the work done was dishonest, and no compensation. To make matters worse this happened to my disabled mother, so if you have older family please go with them because they will prey on them. Not sure what’s going on but business here is terrible. Mechanics shouldn’t lie just to make a quick buck. You fixed a piece not needed to be fix and instead of being an honest man you standing behind it street keeping my mothers car 6 days and charging 875 bucks?
These are the people you want to do business with. I had a severe scratch and dent that needed an insurance claim. They worked through the whole process with me and even installed an entirely new body panel on a truck bed. There were a few minor things that I asked to be corrected after I picked it up (I was raised in a picky car family) and they obliged quickly and without hassle. They're real folks who are really good. Highly recommend!
I recently had a poor experience getting my car serviced at this shop. When I brought it in, I was told it would cost thousands of dollars to fix and that the car was practically junk. That seemed very excessive to me. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to another mechanic instead. They were able to quickly identify and address the actual issue, and it did not end up costing nearly as much as I was originally quoted. I'm glad I decided to get another estimate before agreeing to the expensive repairs at this shop.
This shop was recommended to me by a friend who happens to also be a mechanic of better than 30 years. My experience proved to be a very positive one, definitely recommend the shop. The staff happens to be very kind as well! Thank you!!

I’ve had work done here in the past so I took my daughter’s car to try to get diagnosis on an electrical issue. Specifically told them could not leave overnight due to work. After several hours I finally called, nothing yet.. called second time it was being looked at but I informed them It would be picked up before closing.A little bit later, I got a call saying they needed to keep it a few days maybe and I said no, maybe we’ll bring it when we have more time. Daughter picked up car and was charged $105 even though I was told on the phone BEFORE taking it in it would be $60 or $65 to look at and it would go towards repair. Well I guess $105 is what was charged to take the battery out and do a quick look around. Needless to say I took it somewhere else, got a call back in a couple hours,and it was finished the next morning only because there was 7 cars ahead. Oh and the cost was only $125 including Labor!!
Trustworthy and thorough. I have taken multiple cars in for service and am always appreciative of their honesty, fair pricing, and excellent service. I wouldn't go elsewhere unless I had no other choice.
I was in there a few months ago to have my ac completely redone and its already went back once because it leeked. I just filled it back up after winter and it leeked all out a week later. Also I put a new grille and lights housings on my 1996 chevy silverado, so they decided to screw in the bottom of my new grille and brake the tabs. Also brake one of my light housings. My new radiator that was out in by another mechanic now leaks even tho it's not even a year old. I had them put on new fenders and inner fenders to, so I don't know what else they could have screwed up without dismantling everything. I dropped it off to have repairs done, not to get more things damaged.
Edit:dropped it off at another shop and they said the ac condensor was totally broken on the bottom and that wasn't even a year old ether!!!!
James has been our mechanic for years. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with our cars, (unless it’s warranty work). He’s honest, fair and fast. Highly recommend!
Have been dealing with Ron and Jaimie for 30 years they are the most honest and reliable for repairs and collision work will not sell you anything you don't need ! These guys are the best!!!!!
I can't even say enough about these guys, very knowledgable, won't rip you off, hard to come by goid honest people nowadays but trust these guys with the safety of my family.
This is the place you've been looking for. Honest and professional. They know what your car needs. If you're buying a car, bring it here first and and they'll tell you what repairs will be necessary.
I have been going to see James and Ron at Livonia Auto for years. They were on the list of recommended mechanics from the Car Talk guys. They did a great, reasonably price job that one time and I've been going back ever since. I have had 3 different cars serviced by them, I have bought a used car from them and I've recommended them to several people who all have had the same experience. These guys are honest, reasonable and don't try to do 'add ons'. If you don't need something, they will be the first person to tell you. They will review work orders from other places and either match or beat the price. They also sell brakes, shocks, and tires. I can't say enough about how good they are. If you take your car to them, you won't be sorry.
I had some work completed here and was very satisfied not only with the quality of work, but also the thoroughness of which the initial estimate was given with. Ron spent a good chunk of time just explaining the path that would be taken to resolve the issues, and the actual work didn't stray from that one bit.
