I took my truck in for a heater core replacement that still under a warranty from where I purchased my truck. Everyone was very polite and professional. The work was done in the time frame they quoted me. The work that was done by the technician was outstanding(thanks).
I would of given them 5 stars instead of four if they would of called me with some sort of updates on the process/status.

I rarely ever write Google reviews, though I rely on them when choosing where to go. This place deserves one! The service was truly phenomenal! The manager, Jeremy, was knowledgeable, professional and able to explain exactly what was wrong with my car & what it needed in layman’s terms. I felt really comfortable & knew my car was in good hands. They did a diagnostic report that included pictures & a detailed breakdown of what was recommended & how much it would cost, which made it easy to decide what repairs I wanted to do now vs later. Once decided, he gave an accurate estimate of how long the repair would take. I brought my laptop and was able to get work done in the lobby while I waited, since I declined a loaner car. It was such a positive experience and Jermey has great interpersonal skills, he deserves a raise lol! I now feel super relieved that I found a place I can trust to fix up my car. I needed a few other things done so I’ll definitely be back!

The staff were very attentive to my immediate needs. They promptly fix the problem after diagnosis. Had me back on the road in less than 2 hours. For sure coming back for more maintenance service and fixing other problem of my old but very reliable vehicle.

I really appreciate how they provide photos and texts throughout the process even when it’s something as simple as an oil change. I was desperate for my car to be fixed. Called around to my car dealership and they couldn’t do it for 4 days. Spoke to the Detroit Auto shop on Middlebelt, and they ,”said tow it in and we will look at it and give you a call. “. They communicated with me through out the day. At 5 pm my car was ready. They even picked me up from work and to me to the shop. Great service
Came in today because of an issue with my trunk. They determined very quickly that it was due to corrosion on the circuit board in my key fob. Never like going to the mechanic because I don’t know much about cars, but these guys made it simple and were very kind. Would highly recommend.
Easy to make an appointment online. Work done in time expected and although they made recommendations for futher work, they did not push the issue. I would definitely go here again. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and friendly.
I had an incredible experience getting my rear struts replaced here! David was amazing—super friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. He got me in quickly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The price was very fair, and the work was done same day. I came in to request assistance with putting my battery holder/ harness back on my Honda accord. David Arnold came to my car lifted the hood and put the harness back on. He was very professional and kind. Afterwards I ask the cost, but David said it was no cost. I really appreciate this business not charging for everything these days. I will be back as a customer soon I love the service and professionalism.

We've used the garage in the past, and were always happy with them. This time I just needed an oil change on a vehicle i recently purchased. The coupon with the free inspection was perfectly timed! Jeremy was great, and I love the text link to the inspection results, with estimates broke down by job, and photos!!! Highly recommended!
This shop has helped me with any issues I've had or maintenance I didn't want to do on a couple of different vehicles now - a Honda Civic and a Toyota Camry. In both cases they are excellent about documenting everything, keeping me updated on their progress, confirming the cost of repairs and asking what I'd like to do before doing the work, etc. They even send a text to check back in shortly after each service. David and Jeremy are great to deal with and always feel fair. I drive old cars, and they make me aware of the issues that could use fixing or maintaining without pressuring me to do more than I can afford. I'd recommend this shop to anyone nearby.

Detroit Garage Livonia did a great job with both diagnosing and fixing my car. I took it in the previous evening and had my inspection report ready the next morning. I received a call from them explaining the findings and making their recommendations. My favorite part is I could choose exactly what I wanted to have done, without them putting pressure on me to accept any extras. Glad to have them as my go to shop!

The guys are down to earth and friendly. They were able to get me in right away for a burnt out taillight since I was pulled over twice for it. I purchased some wipers while there .They had two techs tackle the issues and were done pretty quick. I would recommend this shop. They were knowledgeable, quick, and great customer service.
I was recommended to this place by my friend and I am so glad I was. Everybody here is reliable, professional, HONEST, and efficient, which is hard to find in a mechanic shop nowadays. This is a long overdue review, but the fact I haven't forgotten should be a testament to the service I received. It was the tail end of November of last year, and It was freezing ice storms. Things could not have been going worse. My dad had had two consecutive strokes and as the only breadwinner, my parents were at risk of homelessness. My car began having problems as well adding to the mountain of stress.
Detroit Garage was there for me in that regard however. They scheduled me asap, gave a detailed evaluation and helped me prioritize the most important repairs I needed (namely my brakes and broken suspension) while letting me know what next to prioritize when I was in a better place. They were thoughtful and even when I was late to pickup my car due to the ice storm, they waited for me past their closing time. Cut to now, and all the repairs they did have been rock solid, with no complaints from me. They even called to followup a few times to check in, on how everything was after (I'm sorry I never responded, as stated, I had so much going on)
Thankfully, a lot has gotten better, my parents are no longer in danger of being homeless, and my dad is slowly recovering, I wanted to be sure to let you know how much I appreciated everything you did. I will (hopefully) be back for more repairs soon!
David & Jeremy and their shop team have been taking care of me and Betsy (pictured) for several years now. I've gone there for everything from routine maintenance and oil changes to diagnosing and addressing some more serious issues and I've been very happy with their work every time.
They're honest, fair, transparent...and they don't price gouge. Pretty much everything you want in a mechanic/car shop. I've referred some folks to them as well and they, too, have had nothing but good things to say. If you're looking for a good, reliable local shop you can trust, look no further!
Excellent Service. I went there because my car needed a wheel alignment. They took me into the garage and explained what was going on. They took pictures of what was wrong that needed to be change. They gave my car a great inspection and a first discount for using their service. They test drove my car to make sure the alignment was corrected. Very Professional and friendly. 2 Thumbs up.
