I love living in this place. Lots to do, golfing, fishing, hunting, ATV and horseback riding. Plenty of wilderness. Currently restructuring and having a few pains, but overall a very nice place to retire. If the fix their food service and billing issues I would give them 5 stars.

Private club that my grandfather co founded. Stayed at the club and had a large family gathering. We had a great time.

My favorite place in the world is LLWC. So many memories. Spent all my summers there. Spent countless hours golfing. The junior Golf Camp was my favorite summer camp. Great community. I wish they would bring back the old club house though. Used to be nice decorated now it's a boring room. Bring back the mounts and hunting memorabilia. Has gone down hill slightly over the years and gotten too expensive. It's actually kind of sad to see. I hope the club survives the changes and new management.

Lost Lake Woods Club has something for everyone! From hunting and fishing to golf and shooting sports to the beautiful lakes, trails and beach…it’s a great place to meet new friends or spend quality time with family. So many wonderful memories made at LLWC!!

LLWC is an amazing place for families. We’ve been members for almost 30 years and have raised our boys exploring the property. We can’t wait to retire there.

An amazing place for families to spend their vacations and weekends in northern Michigan. It's a must-see all inclusive property. I've been here since 2015 and I would highly recommend it.

I booked for 5 people. When checking in the room had 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. No tv . No internet. The room was so small you felt like u was in a 5x5 cell. .. the bed was hard. When asked for something eles they suggested a room with 2 beds but no bathroom.

Soap is slimy, no vents, toilet is jiggling very few power outlets, no t.v, horrible beds, no a.c, 3rd floor is the 2nd floor somehow too .

Awesome beach and playground for the kids, very quiet and beautiful private community. Wildlife is abundant in there so it's nothing to see a herd of deer just grazing through!

I've spoken with many people who have been here in their youth. Each have expressed most cherished and wonderful memories. Adults enjoy it too.

We attended a wedding event here and spent a few nights in our camper on the campground. A little bit different from how we normally camp...the campground is a flat field with roads paved in it so not very many trees and no firepits. But the bathrooms are IMMACULATE and the entire resort is pretty kid friendly. Very affordable. My kids loved the beach so much. I would say that it would be helpful to have directional signs for the campground when you check-in. Although it isn't our normal style of campground, we had a great time...safe, clean, kid friendly, grounds are beautiful, and employees are kind...5 stars!

From the outside it looks nice and the Landscaping seems to be tended to regularly. I cannot speak for all the rooms but the apartment was very dated I mean it will keep the weather out but I was disappointed in the appearance and cleanliness

My Grandparents were members since the 1920’s along with one of my Aunts two of my cousins and myself. Lost Lake Woods Club has had so many great memories. One of the great gems in Michigan. Leave the city life at home, come to relax, decompress and get to know the simpler things life has to offer.

Very cool gated community in a rural area. Everyone that we ran into is friendly. If I had enough in savings I would definitely buy a cabin there. The horse riding trail was long and there was plenty to look at. The ride managers were experienced and knew the horses very well. The driving range was nice and the golf course was cool too. There is a lake to swim and fish. The staff were mostly nice. The girl in the gift shop, not so much but it can't be perfect right?

I love lost lake. The people here are very friendly. I love riding my 4-wheeler here in the fall and winter because it is so beautiful. I always have a great time with my friends here and hope maybe I will get married here!

Ray is awesome at the Lost Lure! She was superwoman with my friends and I ( we had a very large group). We stayed in the apartment on the top floor of the lodge. Cool experience. The place was clean, unique, and affordable.

So many beautiful family memories were made here. We knew we were officially in heaven when we saw the first white fence post with the red top. I will never forget the first time I came back in 1986. :)

I've been a member for 17 years and a full time resident for the last 3. I could not be more happy! There is much to do. This is a 11,000 acre playground. If you love the outdoors? This is the place. LLWC is a family place. Very safe for all. As a retiree. A safe and friendly community it very important. Stay active. Stay healthy. Denny .

Went to a private dinner function there and had a great time. Wonderful service, just a low brow club for common folks, nothing pretentious just clean and nice. You'll enjoy it

This is a private club. You must be a member or be a guest of a member to use the property. That said, there's lots of onsite activities. Golf, tennis, canoe rental, skeet shooting, shooting range, stables. Great for sportsmen year round with deer and small game hunting. Multiple lakes to fish. There's a lodge where you can rent a room or rent a cabin for your stay. Multiple trails scattered throughout the expansive property(10,000 acres). Great for hiking, horseback riding or ATV's.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would have been nice to have a TV in our room for relaxing in the evening. We were there for a wedding which turned out beautifully. Seems like there is lots to do in-season, will definitely go back.

The best hidden secret on the east side of the state. Gated community with 5 lakes, 12,000 acres of 4 wheel trails, 18 hole golf coarse, club house, archery, rifle range, skeet shoot and much, much more. We even have our own parade and 4th of July fireworks. A must see!

Private club that you need to own property on or know someone who does to get in. Hard to get in otherwise, but there are plenty of cabins for sale and local real estate agents to contact. There is also a camp ground to stay at or a hotel. Mainly cabins and retired people are here and it's busy in the summer. Open for hunting during hunting season. Great get away for holidays, especially the fourth of July which has a parade, carnival and fireworks with other smaller events as well. The clubhouse, as it's called, is the hotel mentioned above, but has no TV's in the rooms. Instead there's multiple TV's and sofas on the main floor. There is also a restaurant at the clubhouse, but it has awful service with half-way decent food. Plenty of trails to take off road vehicles out on (just get a sticker from the clubhouse and be with a member on the trails). They also have a horse stable with rides in the woods as well as a well kept golf course. More information can be recived at the front desk at the clubhouse. The only thing keeping LLWC from five stars is it's terrible cellular signal. There's hardly any signal on any network, but locals say Verizon has the best (gets 1 bar of 3G at best).

Having visited Lost Lake Woods Club since the late 90's and finally becoming a member about 5 years ago I can honestly say that it's be best kept secret in Northern Michigan. From the hunting & fishing to the golf, groomed snowmobile trails and so much more, Lost Lake has something to offer for everyone. I've met many new and wonderful people though my time here and made some lifelong relationships. Heck, I got married there!! If you are looking for a vacation place where you and your family can enjoy all the outdoors that Michigan has to offer or even a summer snowbird nest look no further. It's safe & affordable too!

What we dislike is the application fee and non-refundable rule and we urge prospective buyers in this club to fully understand the application fee before pursuing membership in this club. It is a Buyer beware situation, ie: if pursuing a property in LLWC, please make certain that your purchase is absolutely for certain before you apply for membership, ie: that your mortgage is 100% approved; your inspection report(s) have been received and any other steps in the process of a purchase are completed to your satisfaction. As, should you apply for membership prior to this time and you find that for some reason one or more of the "essential purchase steps" are not to your satisfaction, your application fee (one thousand dollars or more) is NOT refundable. This fee covers pulling your credit report and your interview. In our opinion, these steps are extremely expensive and one is lead to believe there is a secondary gain for the club in establishing this rule of a "non-refundable" application fee. It is NOTED that an applicant does have ONE year from the date of the reading of your name for membership at a board meeting to purchase another property. Is it possible to purchase another property within that time period that meets your budgetary and physical needs? Also note: we applied for membership in December and before our name was brought to the board for membership, we requested a refund. My husband is disabled and requires specific structural needs in a home. Such a home was found but then determined to be unsatisfactory for purchase. So, in sum we are out our 1,000.00 due to our stupidity. Otherwise, LLWC is a fine place with friendly people, it is well structured and there are many activities for young and old which is the reason we desired ownership in LLWC plus our children/grandchildren live in LLWC. This has been an unfortunate and very expensive experience for us. Remember, after your mortgage is "for certain" and you are satisfied with your inspection report, etc. there is sufficient time to then apply for membership as it is the only step in the process of making a purchase that you lose any money if you back out due to reasons beyond your control.

This club is insane. There are rules for rules and rules for those. It is nothing but a bunch of yuppies. Buying a cabin and being a member of this club has been a waste of alot of money. People like this are what give hunting and other sports bad names. It would be a great place if 99% of the members would go back to the city they came from
