Stripped the terminal stud going into the side mount battery. Purchased 9/3/2025. Called Highland store where it was installed by "HT". Another tech said they don't have a terminal stud to replace it...WHAT? You can talk to HT on Monday. WOW!
Normally this place is outstanding, however my most recent service left much to be desired. I had a chrysler sebring to bring in for replacement, and called ahead knowing that this car is a pain to do a battery swap due to the location and would likely take some time. The person I spoke to on Tuesday (8/12) morning was excellent, and we were promptly scheduled for service on Thursday morning.
Upon arrival on Thursday, the person working was dismissive, rude, would not even speak to me to ask for a phone number, instead just threw a pen at me after questioning "are you sure it wasn't yesterday?". No, I had a shift on Wednesday morning, it was not possible to be here or schedule for that time. This service was absolutely abhorrent not just for myself, but also my fiance who owned the car who experienced the brunt of this workers obvious displeasure to do their job.
After leaving (being whole-arm waved out, still no words used, obviously we interrupted his morning) we realized he never asked refurbished or new battery, so we called to make sure. Upon answer, he replied "are you kidding me? Cmon" and promptly hung up on us. At this point, we did not feel comfortable having the car in for service with this individual at all due to his outbursts. We returned to pick up the car after this, and found this employee in the parking lot talking with someone trying to sell a motorcycle. We waited at the desk for 10 minutes while he looked over and saw we were there, but made no move to actually do his job (once again). After some time he returned to the store, and we left with the car unrepaired.
After this we called the Commerce rd. Discount battery location, and the car was quickly serviced by the wonderful staff there and we were on our way.
Normally I have thick skin for these things but I will never return here, or recommend this place to anyone else in the future due to the individual working Thursday (8/14) morning's rude, demeaning, and downright mean attitude.
I sincerely hope that this employee is properly trained in line with the rest of the staff's customer service expectations, whom I have never had issues with before in the past 8 years of patronizing Discount Battery.
Needed a battery during the -6 degree cold snap, had exactly what I needed and a great price . Friendly , courteous and local will be going here for all my battery needs
I would be cautious of them diagnosing the batter, when replacing an RV Battery- they just used a volt meter to 'test the battery' w/o asking if it had been charged (the 12v charger on that RV had failed)..
Steve gave such fast and friendly service! I was in and out within a half hour. He took out old battery, put in a new one, and even changed the battery in my fob! My brother recommended discount battery to me and I'm so glad he did! This will be my go to place and will highly recommend it to others!

Totally great customer service. My Jeep didn't start this morning and I had gotten a ride to work. I called them at lunchtime and they gave me a price. By the time I got it started and got up there it was after 430 - closer to ten minutes before they close. They installed my battery and didn't have to. I am very grateful. Thank you.
Always treated fairly here and I'm a big fan of the Deka brand of batteries. Currently have Deka batteries in various vehicles and have had zero issues. Honest answers when you have a battery tested, no high pressure sales tactics to be found here.
We have gone here several times for our car batteries. Every time they have been able to get us in immediately to test our old battery and replace with a new one with a 5 yr warranty. All within 15 minutes. Highly recommend Discount Battery.

I've done business with this Discount Battery store before but never left a review; today I feel compelled to. My garage door opener remote failed to operate this morning and I took it to Discount Battery to get a new battery installed (they have batteries for EVERYTHING). Steve met me at the front door (the way it's set up you don't even enter the store, they come to you) wearing appropriate mask and gloves. He disassembled the unit and determined both batteries were fully charged. A more disreputable owner could have easily installed two new batteries and sent me on my way. He reassembled the remote, cleaned it and gave it back. Absolutely no charge. Surprisingly the thing works just fine now. Thanks Steve for not taking advantage when you easily could have done so. You are my go to place for all my battery needs, and you always will be.
I bought 2 motorcycle batteries here in the last month and they had both in stock and great prices. I had different staff members for both transactions and both were super helpful. I'll be coming back for the next battery i need. Thanks for the batteries!
I'm so glad to review this business, because it is a fantastic business. We have bought many batteries though the years here and have always been delighted with the fast, friendly and knowledgeable service we've received. Each, time, they come outside to our vehicles, chance and test the batteries, and if one is needed, they instantly install it.

Exellent customer service! Was very satisfied! I think the guys name was matt? Beat AutoZone's price. And he even istalled it for me which took less than 5 minutes! Very pleased.

I went to this store (in highland) today just like I did back in December of 15 and I must say both times were the best I've ever dealt with batteries. I went there and ended up spending 80$ less then I anticipated and still got 4 batteries. The gentleman there was very friendly and helpful (even though he was hurting). When I left discount battery I had gotten my day made. Even though it was a hours drive I will be shopping there again next time. THANK YOU DICOUNT BATTERY GUYS!
Fair prices and quality service. I called from out of town and they agreed to order a unique battery for a Honda Fit. The service was expert and installation went easily. I will recommend this store to my family and return in the future.

I was out visiting a client out in Waterford- about 25-30 mins from my house.. and my car battery died...
I googled Batterys in Waterford- and Discount Battery popped up. Thank God I was close by. They installed my battery, and the price was fair.
