I have used many local Oakland County recycling facilities Over the past 10 years. Mann Metals has proven to be the best for a few reasons. Their prices are always among the best for clean brass, stainless steel, non-stainless steel and aluminum. Their yard is easy to navigate and well organized. There staff are helpful and efficient. I usually recycle a combination of metals and always sort and weigh the materials. Their scales are dead on to what my home weights were. All around great experience.
My buddy brandon and I go here all the time. They give the best bang for your buck in all of michigan. And the yard is top notch. Would highly recommend coming here for all ur scrapping needs.

I'm local To the area, I come to this guy all the time. I'm in construction. So I'll get some scrap from time to time. He's always very honest.if you have a question just ask, He will probably beat the competition's price.

If you expect red-carpet type service, you won't get that here. Understand that you are as strange to them as they are to you. It is a trade service/business.
There is a lack of posted instruction... so, just ask.
I can't comment regarding pricing; I don't turn in a lot of metal... as long as I don't have to pay to get rid of it, excellent!
Only gave one star cuz I couldn't do less most unorganized scrap yard I've ever been to in My Life do not recommend going here unless you have all day to spend
As an HVAC contractor i use Mann Metals for all my scrap metal disposal. Quick professional service of staff. Daniel is very efficient and pleasant to work with.
Every time I go there they pay me half of what I should get. I call ahead to get prices on various metals and they still pay me less, a lot less! They always tell me the same story every time, the market is down right now. BS! They are Crooked crooks and owe me more money again!
I noticed a review was removed due to the google account comment wasn’t affiliated to your system logs. Just because the names don’t match doesn’t mean we still got below minimal on aluminum. Seems there is a few other complaints based on the same topic.

Had my son take some clean aluminum from railing that I built, other metal scraps and a never-been-used hot water heater...got a whole $7. What a rip off...wish I would have told my son to hold onto the stuff to take to another scrap yard. Last visit. Should have learned from my previous visit where I also got barely anything. Scap Dog is much more fair.
We've done business with Mann for years because they're always fast, friendly and fair. I highly recommend this business. They have an excellent staff!
Awesome service, great employees, amazing employer. Honestly we came here because we were recommended by a family friend and we were definitely satisfied. The truck driver James was very punctual and courteous and gave us a fair rate for the scrap metal we had. The owners are always so polite and caring, the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Mann Metals is the biggest rip-off scrap yard in Michigan. They will take full advantage of you and screw you over heavily. For example for the average man that walks into a scrap yard number one bailing at this time as $115 a ton. They straight up lied to my face and told me metal went down and it’s only $80 a ton. Everywhere else at this time is offering $115-135 a ton. If I was able to put a dumpster on my job site I would be getting $165 a ton. Mann metals is very sketchy, they talk to each other Spanish so you don’t have a clue what’s going on. If I could give 0 stars I would. It’s kind of funny how they all have brand new sports cars and vehicles filling the lot showing how much money they really make of you. Another experience I had was I called one day and he offered $135 ton for clean metal and when I showed up and unloaded he goes I can only offer $120. WHAT THE HELL! Terrible business practices. I don’t know how there still in business......

It took 15 minutes for me to find someone to help me! Then another 10 minutes for the to weigh the hopper. The prices are not posted, less than 1/2 of the price of my usual yard...... I will drive the extra 14 miles to double the price. This is the worst yard I've been to!!!! ( Look for the Dog if you want fair prices. )
I am so disappointmentted in the lack of care these people take to provide accurate accounting of the metals given to them. I took the time to separate my metals and they didn't pay me for the separate metals. I got paid 10 cents a pound for computers on my individual hard drives, my solid copper heat sinks and a whopping 9 dollars for two copper core radiators.
DONT GO THERE they will scam YOU!!! Only reason i go there is its quarter mile from my house, but its shadiest place ive ever been to, prices the lowest of the low if you can go somewhere else than do so dont go to them. They're CHEAP
DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Now they don't pay for anything less then 500pounds. And some how everyone yesterday had less then 500 pounds. They r thieves. Do NOT use them. They need to be reported. I can't give them less then 1* I would if I can
I went here because I needed to get rid of some material from a nearby job. They seemed like nice people, however not many of them speak English. Prices are very low compared to other yards
Thanks Guys! I got a good price on my items. I had a pile of computer parts and other misc items and they'll either recycle or dispose of it for me. I think of them 1st when it comes to recycling my stuff.
This place has the lowest prices i've seen. They have a flashy sign and a nice website but that is the only positive. Only one out of three people spoke English and it was broken English at that. I feel like I was ripped off. I can't believe I went here just because every other place I called was closed. Do not put yourself into the same situation I was, Avoid this place if you can.
