I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with The Collision Repair Shop! Lance is so knowledgeable and kind and really has his customers best interest in mind! This was my time handling insurance and repair after an accident and he helped me with every step.

Lance and the crew were courteous, professional and extremely communicative. They helped me navigate insurance companies and the logistics of ordering parts. They kept me looped in throughout. My car looks great.

My experience was wonderful! I had problems with my washer fluid coming out after a bump on the side where the motor turned up being. They pulled the trim back, saw the part and thought it was broken. Then they touched it to try to attach it again and it went into place and the motor was working again! They added some missing or damaged clips for security and the cost was this very worthy review for great service! I highly recommend them for honesty and great customer service.

THE SHORT OF IT: Worst body shop experience I’ve ever had. I strongly discourage anyone from using this shop due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and incomplete repairs. THE LONG OF IT: I’m 43 years old and have worked in auto claims for Allstate and AAA for 15 years. I understand how the repair process should work and what reasonable expectations look like. I brought my Jeep in on November 6, 2025 and was quoted approximately 3 weeks for repairs. The repairs were not completed until January 27 — nearly 3 months later. Communication was consistently poor. I had to call for updates, and I was given conflicting information about parts and repair status. At one point I was told the vehicle was in paint and nearly complete, only to later be told they didn’t even have the bumper. After 6 weeks, I was informed repairs were complete — then told they hadn’t even addressed the suspension issue. The vehicle was sent to another facility before finally being diagnosed at a Jeep dealership, resulting in an additional $3,600 repair. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, it wasn’t ready. I was then told my dashboard lights no longer worked — an issue that did not exist when I dropped it off. I was told the dealership would fix it, though the dealership had no record of that agreement. The shop owner then threatened storage fees and charging my deductible when I questioned paying before everything was resolved. A simple fuse ended up being the issue with the dashboard — something that could have been checked before involving threats. I left with my vehicle, but now: Parking sensors don’t work The rear tailgate only opens with the key fob The rear door does not close properly Interior trim was left dirty None of these issues existed before. This shop may have many positive reviews, but this was my experience. I would not trust them with another vehicle.

100% recommend Collision Repair! Lance helped me out and was able to get my car fixed the same day. They had great customer service and a great price. The work done was perfect and fast as you can see from the pictures. Lance was super helpful and super friendly. Will definitely be bringing my car back here and recommending it to friends. This is not a paid review. I have never received such excellent customer service in my entire life….i am tearing up as I’m writing this. Lance helped me out by performing a virtual inspection of my car while I was getting ripped off by the Honda car dealership. He told me to bring in my car and he’d offer way more reasonable prices. I dropped off a battered and worn, filthy car which I had not had time to clean (neither inside nor out) in 3 years…In less than 3 weeks Lanced called me to pick up my car which to amazement looks brand spanking new. I got new fenders, new hood, new mirrors, new tires, a new paint job, a fresh car wash and to top it off a completely detailed car……I was speechless. I begged Lance to let me please pay him a tip and he refused to accept a penny. And then he added the cherry on top, my insurance deductible was waived so I could drive 2020 Honda CRV with new parts, accessories and CLEANED all for $0……. I cannot express enough my gratitude to Lance and his team. You guys gave me so much hope and happiness after so much hardship. The Collision Repair Shop doesn’t just fix cars, they repair broken hearts. Thank you so so much. 😭❤️

Had my car towed here after hitting a deer as they were the only shop that was polite and helpful on the phone when I was calling around. Unfortunately, my car ended up being totalled through insurance. When I went to clean my car out, Tony took the time to help me unhook my sound system that I had installed - even in the 20° weather! These guys are awesome and I will definitely be returning! (hopefully under better circumstances 😂)

Lance and the staff were super helpful and compassionate. My estimate was free and they even made my car drive-able so I wouldn’t have to pay for another tow truck. Lance also took his time to find me the most affordable replacement parts. I would highly recommend this shop due to the knowledge and kindness of the staff especially considering the fact I am a woman and not do know about this industry in general. Lance was great and fast - He completed collision work on my Tesla for awesome price!! He was super communicative. He also worked on my parents car a few years ago and they were very pleased. Woman approved place to get work done on your car ladies!!

July 2025 '25 Chevy Equinox EV We had a very good experience dealing with The Collision Shop in Ferndale, Michigan. Lance is a nice person to deal with. The Shop had issues with the GM dealer that he uses, an Ohio one, so the car was there longer than expected (8½ weeks). For weeks the GM dealer kept telling the shop and GM’s Hotline Services that the hood was not available with no ETA available. Somehow after weeks of the same story and having just told the shop the same story auto-magically a hood was delivered. Once the hood was delivered, work started on the vehicle and in a little over a weeks time it was finished. They did a very good job. The car looks like new (it is new with only 150 miles in it). I had a previous experience with The Collision Shop. My 2004 Infiniti G35 had pealing paint on the front of the hood and on the roof's driver side. I took it to 4 shops in Ferndale (like to support local businesses) two on Woodward, north of 9 mile Rd., south of 9 mile Rd., one east of Woodward and The Collision Shop. The one south of Woodward saw the car from 20ft and immediately said NO we don’t do that, no explanation, nothing just turned around and went back inside. The one north told me to make an appointment to get a price, the one east of Woodward wanted more than the car’s blue book value. The Collision Shop immediately said sure, we can do it, it will take a week. The price was reasonable and the job was great, this was over two years ago and still looks good. So when we got in a crash with this brand new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV we did not hesitate on where to take it to get it fixed. It never even crossed my mind to take it somewhere else and we are glad, as I said the car looks good, the delay was not their fault.

I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality at reasonable prices…..they do great work and you get your car back quickly…..they also beatifically detailed my car…. Didn’t ask for this service but it automatically came with the work…..I love it🥰I will definitely be back

I was quoted 3 days to fix a dent in my door. After one week they called and said it’ll take another week. When I said to put it back together because I need my vehicle back they said they couldn’t and had to replace the entire door now. Terrible. *edit in response to theirs* I was not informed immediately upon quoting that the door would have to be replaced, but rather a week later. This WAS at your location in July of 2022, on my 2011 ford fusion for roughly $1.5k They also tried saying my keyless entry pad never worked because there were no wires attached so they left it off..it’s a wireless system I stuck back on and worked fine. Update in response* you originally claimed this work was not done at your location until I provided photos, then you redacted your statement. You failed to inform me the structure of the door could be compromised prior to quoting and agreeing to repair the dent. I was informed a week later. The keyless entry was never brought up until after the work was completed and it was mentioned to me that it never worked since there were so wires. “Installing” consisted of sticking it back to the door, a toddler would’ve been qualified to “installl. Your responses and constant changing of the story are proof enough of the lack of professionalism.

The work…PERFECT The waiting Area…COMFY The Staff…EVERYONE IS RESPECTFUL & SPEAK! They make sure you’re 100% satisfied I had work done on my car, found a little issue later, they asked me to bring it right in and they took care of it with no problem. We don’t see a lot of customer service like this these days, businesses think we owe them and forget why they’re in business in the 1st place. Many can learn a great deal from the way customers are treated here. Thank much you all.

I had my car taken here after I hit a deer back in October. I worked with Lance & his team, & they are awesome! He got my car in right away. Unfortunately, we had some complications with my insurance company, but he worked after hours sometimes to make sure everything was progressing. Considering my car is 2023 model, some parts were on back order, but Lance did the best he could to get my car back to me in a timely manner, not to mention my car looks brand new again. He’s so professional, nice, & understanding. Hopefully I won’t have to get my car repaired again, but if I do I will definitely be calling Lance!

Wow- What a great business! We had our car vandalized recently and then we met Lance at the Collision Repair shop. He worked with our insurance company to open a claim and kept us informed throughout the entire process. Even though the part was delayed and on back order, Lance made sure our car was taped up in case of rain so we didn't have to worry in the meantime. When the part arrived, he took care of it as soon as humanly possible and with urgency. He treated us with the utmost respect as well... These people are professional and bent over backwards to help make our situation better in any way they could. We highly recommend The Collision repair shop! Thank you again Lance!! UPDATE: I needed a little repair to my front fender on my Slingshot and these guys came through for me yet again! Fast, effecient and a great value! I will send everyone I know here!!
