So rude and does not deserve business. I called in to ask one simple question. Upon answering the phone I greeted the dispatcher and he proceeded to say hurry up I’m busy. Call me sensitive but that’s not customer service🤷🏽♀️
I crashed on 41 in Marquette. And on a fixed income and have no friends and never married so if something goes wrong, I'm usually screwed. Without a vehicle, I and my dog had no way home. If my truck went someplace else, it, and everything in it would simply be lost by forfeit, When you're poor, things just cascade when something goes wrong and people take advntage of you more than not. (One reason I avoid people, they suck). When the driver found out I had to get myself and my truck to Ishpeming, he said that would be at least 350 dollars. Usually people like that are vultures and that can clearly be seen in the other reviews. I checked my cashapp and had 200 left. Already behind, not knowing where or if I can pay it back, even as I write this, I know I'm screwed, but to my suprise, he told me ha would take us home for that amount. Crippling. But I am grateful for the kindness. I asked him directly for a favor and he hooked me up. I'll never forget that. I was going go buy a replacement vehicle from them but I dont have a way to replace it. Now I have to buy food from Jubilie or Super1 in Negaunee and pay their exorbitant markups in price. No way my food stamp rations will cover the month. I dont know what im going to do. Still got a ticket to pay too. The state adds injury to injury, making sure to strike when people are down, and weak.
Call someone else. The back end and tailpipe of my car scrapped the ground when the driver was offloading it. The driver did not want to make a note of the scrape. She said there was no place on the work order to make a note like that. I showed her the comment section. She hesitated and then wrote down what happened. I called the shop after and the guy said "The exhaust pipe is going to scrape. If I do not like it, do not use their service ". Do not use their service.
rude, aggressive, unreasonable and unprofessional. can’t take accountability for their workers and insists on fighting college kids rather than hand over their insurance to file a claim.

Marquette Detailing is a business that thrives not because of quality service or community trust, but because they have a monopoly through a city contract and know exactly how to profit off people in distress.
After an accident, the police immediately called them to tow my vehicle less than 2 miles away to their shop. I show up to retrieve my car and am greeted with a bill over $500. Why you might ask? Because they charge $70 per day in storage fees —a detail they conveniently don’t disclose upfront or anywhere in writing.
But wait!—you can't pay with a card. They only accept cash, because, and I quote, “too many people dispute the charges.” Gee, I wonder why. Perhaps because it's a scam?
I’ve since talked to multiple people in our community who’ve had almost identical experiences. Surprise fees. No written notice. No transparency. And the same cash-only policy designed to dodge accountability.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just poor customer service. This is a systemic, predatory operation that hides behind its connection to local law enforcement to continue exploiting Marquette residents. When you're vulnerable, shaken, and without options, they pounce. And they profit.
If you’re reading this and you still have a choice—ask for a different towing company immediately!!!!
If you’ve already been burned—file a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General.
If you’re a city official reading this—do better for your constituents.
This company does not deserve our community's trust, our business, or one more dime of our money.
Marquette will be a better place when the old thief running this local scam finally retires, and that day cannot come soon enough.
A very dirty place .. I wasn't very happy with the place my suv was totaled in an accident and towed here i went the next day to get some of my things after i was released from the hospital outta my car as i was from outta town and had to walk thru muck and they had it so i couldn't even get into the hach of my car to get my things they had a old van right behind it .. I wasn't very impressed so i had my insurance take it outta the place and brought it to a different shop a nice clean body shop where they had it placed nice so i could kindly get my belongings outta it ..
My pickup hit a patch of black ice. Sean winched and towed it out of the ditch. I drove it home with no damage from the spin out or service getting it back on the road. Thank you for professional work.
They’ll charge over $200 for a 1 mile tow and less than days hold, and they’ll toothlessly smile while they hand you the receipt. Horrible auto work done by crooked people, never go here
I was stuck in the woods on a hill with a narrow road. My truck lost traction with my 4500 lb dump trailer attached. I called these guys and they sent out their tow truck quickly. Sean , the driver had good common sense and I was pulled out quickly and safely. Thank you.

I needed a tow, they were recommended after my Subaru Roadside Assistance Service said they had no one to respond. Everything happened quickly, exactly as anyone would want.
Had to get my car towed. The man who came to my location was helpful in problem solving on how to get my car to the tow truck as it couldn’t fit down the narrow space between buildings where my work’s driveway was. Left the receipt with the automotive repair place at my request, which was very helpful... The only issue was the waiting time I was told and the actual waiting time for them to come get my car. Other than that, no additional issues found.
Chuck was my tow operator and he was a great help. The AAA was a pain on both ends for each of us. Chuck took matters info his own hands, and got it figured out got me where I need to go! Towing ain't easy, thanks Chuck!
Rainig out. Got the Expedition stuck on a soft spot on a unpaved section of a County trunk rd. with 4 young children in the vehicle Called Marquette auto detailing. I was in formed that their wreckers are not allowed to leave the pavement...
These folks are stand-up people. I lost my father in a car accident and Mickey and Chuck were both compassionate and helpful while I struggled with a difficult insurance agent.
Got my Subaru out of some ruts on the back lower side of mount. Marquette, front tires were stuck 90° in some ice ruts nearly bottomed out. Even saved my bumper from getting damaged or ripped off! Nobody wants to pay around $250 for a stuck vehicle but its better than not getting your vehicle out or damaging it in the process and potentially paying that ontop of it. Picked up first call and showed up fast.
Lesson is if it looks like you're at your vehicle's limit dont send it or go with a group
Do not use this towing service! I was charged $80 to tow my car less than 1 mile (south Marquette to downtown marquette).Towing guy said he wasn't responsible for any damage. Had I known, I would have called a towing service that knew what they were doing. My new car was damaged, so , not only do I need to fix the car to drive, I am stuck with body damage that they are not "responsible " for. Save your money and call anyone else. 😡
Very helpful in my time of need! Four other companies and people tried to get me unstuck but could not do the job. Marquette Detailing was able to get the job done in no time at all! Very thankful to them!
My car was towed and was at Marquette Detailing for about a week. When I got the car back the dash cam and radar detector were both gone! When I called to inquire about it the response was immediate denial with NO offer of checking cameras or even looking into it. Luckily the police were present when the car was towed so I'll have no problemproving my claims in court. I paid $600.00 to have my stuff stolen - be smarter than me and take your business elsewhere
While my cousins and I were trying to go to a sledding hill a man in a big tow truck blocked 2 streets and started yelling at us to get off the street and making the customer on our right super uncomfortable and he didn't stop there he turned around and blocked us out of the street. I should also add he was driving up a one way street jamming traffic this is a horrible company that hires horrible people I would never recommend this company to anyone. Infact I would give this company 0 stars if I could.
The owners were so rude I walked in and they didn't even look up from the cribbage game they were playing they are way overpriced and they thought me getting into an accident was funny and said that I was idiot and shouldn't have a license. This is hands down the worst shop to go to.
Absolutely horrible business and owner!! The vehicles they sell are junk and when they say your vehicle will be done from getting fixed it ends up actually being done weeks later. The owner is extremely rude, swears and calls you names. Would NEVER do business with them again.
My car was towed here after a car accident in October. I have avoided leaving a review and was going to just let it go. My car was estimated to be done in two weeks. After two weeks I was told itd be done the following Friday. I called back and they said they hadn't even ordered the parts and had no idea why I thought it would be done. This continued until my car was there for about a month. They would tell me it was almost done and then extended it even longer. They left plenty of scratches to the hood, left my front hood unlatched when I picked it up, told me to bring it back later in the week because they hadn't finished everything, and the paint on my new door doesn't match. I would have let that all go. But now I went to get a flat tire fixed and I found out that they put the wrong size tires on my car meaning I just spent $300 replacing all of them. I would never reccomend this place and in fact I tell everyone to stay far away.
They do awesome work and are always there for your 24 hour towing needs with very knowledgeable drivers that care about your ride as much as you do..I would recommend this group of guys for any of your mechanical, bodywork, or towing needs fit sure.. Thanks guys for all the help
Let me just start off saying another mechanic (way more expensive) recommended this place to take care of the rust on my truck. This is hands down the best place to go! I had a big hole by the bottom of my driver side seats along the door frame. You can't even tell any work was done! Perfectly fixed and painted to match the truck. Their final price after all the work was still lower than the competitors who sent me to them in the first place!
I also had the truck looked at for a variety of other problems. These guys were honest and never charged me for anything I didn't need. I 100% trust these guys for any future problems I have with any of my cars.
Oh and they were not rude at any point! In fact they were happy to accommodate my odd requests of measuring my truck bed (for a truck bed covering I was buying) and even looking at the carpet color when I called so I could order matching floor mats while the truck was being worked on.
These are true mechanics that care about their work. This is the type of shop that is hard to find. One that is not overuled by a corporation, but instead a local shop that really knows what they are doing when it comes to cars. Give them a chance, you wont regret the outcome!
They were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Had my car towed there after leaving it in the dry cleaners parking lot. When I went to pick it up, (which was $200) it was dead from them leaving the lights on inside the car, so I then had to wait for them to jump it. I hope to never have to go there again.
