I had an incident recently where my vehicle was dented and scraped. At first I was apprehensive, not being from the area I don't have many connections to give me a recommendation for a shop. An insurance company suggested Auto Clinic, so I took a chance on them. I am glad I did. Everyone was very amiable from the lady who did my intake paperwork, the driver, to the owner. You can't even tell work was done, they matched the color perfectly. With the added perks of giving you rides with when you drop your vehicle off and when it's ready for pickup. They even detailed it. Friendly folks that do good work. What else could a guy ask for?

I took my vehicle to Auto Clinic today at 4:59 PM, and one of the guys that works there tells me that I'm cutting it close. They close at 6:00 PM. It was my one and last time coming to Auto Clinic. I spoke with a guy on the phone and asked him could I bring my car and he said yes. I drove from Telegraph and 96 to 8 mile and Gratiot. Customer service is not the same these days.

Great service. Very professional And organized. Got me in quick without appointment. Service was fast good pricing definitely will be back for future repairs. Got a front end alignment and handles a lot better.

Unfortunately, the motor in my Mothers Lincoln MKX was Bad put under the circumstances my experience here was great. They let me know exactly what was needed and gave me a fair price I couldn’t ask for more

I went for alignment appointment . Then I get a estimate for over $3,000 . Saying that you know they had this program where you can finance it . Saying I need an inner and outer tie rods and my car was dangerous Said I need rotors all around and my right rear wheel they was shaking it. They definitely try and take advantage of women's from what I see. Definitely been there before with Wheels and Tires said the exact same thing which was last summer and they completed that work that they claimed I needed in the front in inner and outer tie rods the hubs pact ect. Also needing rotors all the way around . However I replaced my rotors about a year or so ago. Which doesn't degrade in that manner. Also the pulling out and shaking on my right rear wheel base was because it didn't have a rotor screw installed in it. And that's it. Trying to scare me to getting the work they said I needed. It's because of Auto shops like that. That I work on my own cars . I installed my own brakes and rotors. I brought the car from a auction. However when I replaced the rotors the rotor screw was missing on that side. Fact is if it wasn't cold outside I would of installed my own caliper and breaks. Just plain facts and at the most the rotors only need to resurfacing which supposed to be done anyway with any break jobs. I've been working on my car's since I was 14 years old starters rotors alternators water pumps etc. And I'm a senior citizen now . Probably got more years working on cars then y'all been alive . They seem nice but definitely I would not recommend this company especially if you don't know anything about cars . If they give you an outrageous estimate or try to force you into applying for that credit . I definitely suggest you go get a second or third estimate for somebody else . Preferably to a auto shop that doesn't have that program cuz all that is a Money ??? Grab !!!!!!!

Chris was excellent to work with. (but I guess that was just a false impression) It's now been about 6 months waiting for a follow-up call from this place. I can only assume that it was basically a scam in conjunction with the towing company that horribly damaged our vehicle in towing. I wouldn't recommend to use this business, as they seem a bit shady. We would appreciate it if the follow-up on the repairs due to the damage caused by the tow truck driver would happen, the parts were ordered at the time I wrote the review. The bungee cord is wearing thin as a temporary solution. I never once said the tow company was owned by your company. I said the parts were ordered to do the repair and we were told we'd be called as soon as they came in. You also did "temporary" work around the radiator which is now leaking badly and your temporary bungee cord is still looking horrible. The car was dropped by the driver in your garage, you told us you'd handle the repairs that it was being handled because it was totally their fault and you were going to make the repairs.

They did not bleed my back brakes properly, it was the day before Thanksgiving. So I missed the parade. Spent almost 5 hrs. The quote was much lower 65 lower to be exact. Did not print out i got an alignment on my receipt or even give one to me. I had to go back. I realized my car wasn't aligned at all. The one nice guy in there. Wrote on it. Needs ANOTHER alignment. So I spent another 2& a half hrs another day getting my brakes bled properly & after I told them for the 5th time. My car doesn't need any other work. I had taken it to other shops. They still refused to do a proper alignment. Had someone call me because I mentioned the better business bureau who I am still calling. This man called screaming in my ear trying to get me to agree with racial slurs about middle Eastern ppl! Put me on hold from a private number first. So the call was recorded. When I called back & let them know. They said I would get a call from the owner. Never did. So I'm taking my car to another shop to.get it properly aligned & calling the better business bureau & a lawyer. Horrible experience

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. The communication was poor from the start, and the lack of accountability has been unbelievable. They kept my car for nearly six months and consistently manipulated me into believing that when I finally got it back, everything would be “good as new.” When I picked up my car, I noticed something wrong immediately and told them. Instead of standing behind their work, they tried to charge me an extra $3,000 to fix issues that were clearly related to the accident. I took my car to multiple other shops and mechanics, and every single one confirmed that this shop had basically done nothing except cosmetic body work. What is the point of fixing the outside of a car if the car can’t even drive? One month later, my car is jerking, barely wants to move, and the Auto Clinic is still refusing to take any responsibility. I paid them out of pocket under the impression that they would repair everything caused by the accident, and they completely failed to do so. The experience was manipulative, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. Save your time, money, and stress — go to a shop that is honest and actually stands behind their work. Seriously guys I read the prior reviews and gave them the benefit of doubt and they played me too! I’d avoid these guys, you’ll regret it. I wish I would’ve listened to the reviews. I spoke with Gus directly the whole experience he’s the one that kept ensuring me that my car would be good as new. he’s the one that lied and manipulated me smiled in my face and took my money without getting the job completely done. paid these guys 7k for nothing!!!

These guys are really great! Gave me a deep tune up and was able to do a payment plan. I was even able to make it to Chicago in time. Excellent service and awesome professional staff. My car is still running smooth. Thank you guys for everything definitely will recommend.

⭐️ 1-Star Review — Overpriced diagnostics, pressure sales tactics, and unprofessional behavior I dropped my car off on October 16, 2024, and picked it up on October 22, 2024 after paying over $1,000 just for diagnostics. Despite that high cost, I received almost no explanation of what was actually tested or why the issue happened in the first place. Instead, I was immediately pushed toward a nearly $4,000 repair estimate — for a fix that I later confirmed was completely unnecessary. As someone with automotive repair training and hands-on experience, I expected a diagnosis that made sense. What I got was a wildly inflated recommendation that was wrong. Of course, they also threatened to put a lien on the car as well. After recovering from accident-related injuries, I repaired the car myself with a new alternator and battery, and that fully resolved the problem. No $4k bill, no mysterious issues — just the basic parts this shop failed to properly identify or possibly ignored. What made it worse was the attitude. When I asked questions or expressed concerns, I was treated rudely and pressured to approve their expensive repairs instead of being given honest, transparent information. I understand troubleshooting can take time, but for the money charged, I should have received a clear diagnostic breakdown — not incorrect conclusions and pushy sales behavior. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop for any work or diagnostics. If you’ve encountered similar behavior here, consider reporting it to the State Attorney General’s Office or another consumer protection agency so these practices are properly documented.

I would rate this business zero stars based on my experience. On September 21, 2025, I had my vehicle towed to Auto Clinic for diagnostic services. The following business day, Monday, September 22, 2025, I contacted the shop to confirm ownership of the vehicle. A few hours later, I was informed that the engine was blown and the estimated cost of repairs would be approximately $6,000. I advised the shop that I could not afford the repair and would not be proceeding with service, despite their attempts to persuade me to accept a payment plan that nearly equaled the remaining balance on my vehicle loan. I made it clear that my decision was final. On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, I received a single text message from Auto Clinic stating that my vehicle would be impounded if it was not removed. I called the shop at approximately 3:11 PM and spoke with a representative (name unknown) to explain that I work two jobs back-to-back and would be unable to retrieve the vehicle until Friday. I requested permission to leave the car on the premises until then, and was told this would not be a problem. I confirmed this agreement verbally and was assured the vehicle would not be towed. However, on Thursday, September 25, 2025 — one day earlier than agreed — I called the shop to inform them I would be picking up the vehicle that day, as I had taken time off from my second job to do so. I was then informed that the vehicle had already been impounded. The representative I spoke with claimed he had not been present the previous day and essentially dismissed the prior agreement. I was told the car had been towed by "U Win Towing," who is now charging me $750 — despite the vehicle having only been in their possession since that morning. I believe this action was retaliatory in nature, stemming from my decision not to proceed with the costly repair. I intend to pursue legal assistance regarding this matter.

I told them I came from another state They have done alignment on my car for about 15 to 20 minutes and they charge me $73, I’m not even sure they even tach my car. Nothing has changed. It’s still the same.

This is the second time I took my car here they are super and treat you really nice ask for Ray he is the best thank you so much. They are really good and honest people, they keep my car running great, I was in 9/3/25 and Chris was helping me super kind, there oil changes are 39.99 plus they check car trouble. I am only bringing my car here and no where else . Stop in so they can get you ready for the winter and still ask for Ray because he is the best thank you guys so much. Best deals ever.

I was quoted an engine with 7500 miles on it for $5500. When I came to pick up my vehicle and after I paid, I was advised that the engine that they put in my vehicle had 64,000 miles on it. At that point, I was stuck and wasn’t able to do anything about it. But I feel taken advantage of and very upset about the service. I was told the vehicle would be ready multiple times when it wasn’t. This was not a good experience.

I called them to help order a tiny part for my car and they told me to come in and they would take a look. When I arrived, no one even bothered to look at my car at all and they took all my info down and never even ordered it. Waited almost two weeks and called multiple times after to ask what’s happening and why the process is taking so long. I got placed on hold and then sent to voicemail and no one ever followed up to let me know what was happening. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Would never recommend this place to anybody if they can’t even take care of a small issue like that, I would never trust them for real work on my vehicle.

Auto Clinic does great work! Someone had referred me to Auto Clinic after I had an accident. Their customer service is outstanding! They were very professional, transparent, polite, pleasant and very helpful with all of my questions. Also, they waived my deductible which was a huge plus!! On top of that they detailed my car! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Special shout out to Larry, Gus and Rex. In the midst of a summer heat wave, they saved the day. Not my first time working with them either, (several times) happy to make the commute these days because the service is always so worth it. Fast, efficient, professional, honest, comfortable, accommodating, informative, flexible and kind. I’ve used Auto Clinic twice now for car work because my friend recommended them and I can say they do excellent work. I first got work from them in January for a new alternator, starter, and battery and they did fast and efficient work at a great price. The second time my motor mount was cracked along with a couple other mounts and they again did great work fixing it at a very fair price. I can vouch for these guys doing work on your vehicle. They’re honest which is a rarity nowadays in this trade. I vouch for them and highly recommend them.

I had difficulties finding a repair shop willing to work on a classic 1969 Corvette Stingray. Auto Clinic was recommended by my neighbor as a good shop that he uses to fix his cars. I walked in Friday morning and was greeted by Gus, who was friendly, direct, and looked at car, said they could fix it Monday. Fast, knowledgeable, and gave me estimates on other things I want fixed as well. Pleasantly surprised and happy with experience, Auto Clinic reminds me of places I used to go to, an old school repair shop with knowledgeable owners. Definitely my new go-to place for repair. Don’t go here! They overcharge you and tell you things are wrong with your car that isn’t wrong. They rotated my tires without my permission and when I asked them about it they denied it when I know for a fact they did it. My back tire was my only problem but when I picked my car up the next day it was my front tire and now my sensor for my back tire is on my front so whenever my front tire go flat, it shows it’s the back tire on my dashboard. I never gave them permission to touch my front tire at all! & not to mention, my car has been driving different every since I picked it up.

God bless Gus and Jim. They need all the prayers they can get, especially how the treat and threaten a customer who has been in there 3 times for the same thing. Lied to a gentleman I had accompany me there because if I called or showed up just asking about my car, it was going to be towed to my house unfinished, just like it's been for months now. Lied about it and wouldn't do a service I paid for because they didn't feel like programming the key fob for me when Jim says they didn't have it then Gus says he just doesn't want to do it anymore. Been waiting since September for that. Because I had to have someone accompany me, they said they were waiting on a part and then it would be finished in an hour and they would call me when it's ready. It was done in a half hour because they said I didn't give them time to do it correctly since I rushed them and I complained driving away when they didn't even see me leaving. They always said it would be ready tomorrow, so I'd call towards the end of the day to check the status and it was always another day. They claim I'm blowing up their phones when I have phone records. Even if I was, that gives you a reason to lie, act worse than a toddler and say here we didn't finish the car and WE TAKE AWAY ALL WARRANTY on the car. They don't mention it of course and put it under labor description. They didn't say it'll be done in an hour because we don't want your business like they were big and bad to me in my face, but not when I had an escort to help me find out what was going on with my car and an estimated time. If they find more things wrong, they fix it without telling you because they do the job right! Obviously because my car has been in there 3 times for several weeks at a time. They worked on my mom's car and didn't call to tell her how much anything would cost and went to pick it up and it was like $2300 and mine was $4500!! And it's worse than when I took it there. They weren't even going to fix the stick that holds the hood open because they were done with me and I opened it when I brought it home after 2 weeks and 5 mins after leaving I could tell it wasn't fixed and called and told them. It almost smashed me and my 5 year old daughter in the head because she was holding the flashlight for me. I had to pull it out and it unplugged my headlight. So this kind gentleman over heard and went and fixed it real quick. They like to take advantage of single disabled mothers. My walker was in my truck and because they kept saying the next day, I didn't go get it. They told me they would do whatever and we so sorry after having my car 2 weeks the second time and driving away seeing the problem wasn't fixed and how much they lie must make their families proud. Jim just likes to argue because on his days off he doesn't want to do anything and he got in a huge screaming match with his wife and things she buys or something. So he doesn't even treat people he's supposed to love with any respect. He screamed at me and hung up on me for asking for an update of what was going on. That's how every other shop has done it with me. They don't just fix things and say surprise here is your bill. They let you know if they need more time with your car, etc. That's all I was trying to find out: an update about what was going on and an estimated date when it would be ready since it's been 4 days and now the weekend and I was told it would be 5 hours, then the next day, then the next day, then the next day and wouldn't give any info on it. I have a whole book written down to compare with other reputable notes that will hold up in court better than anything they have. When JOSH was there, he was super helpful and made sure things got done. He's gone and Gus tells me to ask for him when I call. I do and he can never talk or call back so Jim helps me and seemed very kind and willing to make it right and said he'd personally take care of it but couldn't answer anything when I asked and said I had to talk to Gus who nobody would let me talk to. They said he'd call in the morning and stuff and never did.
