Owner made a very poor display of professionalism.I took a 70 year old pickup
to them to be aligned and braked blead.
He had starting issues i’ve never had a found several small things that were wrong making it unable to align.I didn’t ask to have the transmission lever worked in as he said it was loose.Now it won’t go into drive.He told me he didn’t ever want to see that truck again.All he had to say was don’t think i can fix it.Really Reputation as a good mechanic.
I told him
it needed a tie rod and let a parts book if he needed it. He told me I had some after market parts that he couldn’t get.
I paid him and limped it home.I ordered the needed part from the book i left him.Im 73 and I will install the tie rod myself.
Left a bad taste and made a very poor impression. I’ll take it elsewhere to get trans selector fixed.
I brought my car in for a engine code, oil leak and a clunking noise in my suspension. Very professional and knowledgeable. A different shop stated the clunking noise was from my power steering motor. Showermans quickly determined that was wrong and issued the fix on the front sway bar links. Had me back on the road within 3 days. Definitely a permanent customer now.
I live four hours from my hometown. After getting a referral from Grampy's Auto Parts, I called to get my parent's 1996 Ford Thunderbird in for repair. Showerman's Garage was very professional, sent estimates via email, waited for confirmation and even finished the repair two days ahead of time. Stellar Customer Service with Attention to Detail!

I will recommend Showermans garage to everyone! After taking our vehicle to Spartan Tire in Howell and told the front end alignment was going to cost us more because front end parts were needed which were all recently replaced was going to cost me $550 when initial cost was $69.99. I called Showermans and they fit me in which was fabulous. They called to tell me the car was done without needing any front end parts. Honest, Reputable, Reasonable and timely! I will never go anywhere else. Thank You!
TLDR- Just take your vehicle here. Friendly family business that cares about the quality of work they do, does the job quickly to ensure you're not without a vehicle longer than you have to be and they have very reasonable prices.
Now for the more detailed review- my escape was having some work done at home and a bolt snapped, spent days trying to get it out to no avail. So I got it towed to the garage that my insurance would cover- Thurmans in howell. LSS-they were incredibly rude, told me to take my car back to who broke it and demanded my vehicle be removed. My ex had been taking his car to Showermans for years and highly suggested I try them, so I did and GOD am I thankful!! Allison was incredibly kind, respectful and got my car in right away. Andy I believe was the mechanic and he got my bolt out in 5 minutes,and while he was under the car he gave it a good inspection, knowing I have two toddlers, and gave me a list of things he could see wrong or worn- but the best part is that he gave me an HONEST list of the repairs that I NEED to get, and things I can wait on. Allison kept me updated and in contol of what happens. They even have an extremely easy payment system that allows you to just get a text and follow a link directly to the payment.
So it’s now been over a year since Andy did my 2011 equinox engine rebuild at 80k miles and it’s also been 12k miles since he rebuilt my 2014 Silverado transmission. I’ll start with the equinox. ZERO issues since the complete rebuild… ZERO. And in regards to my transmission, Andy was $1000 dollars cheaper than ANY rebuild shop I had previously called for a quote. And as I found out he was not only a GM master mechanic but also one who specialized in transmissions. 48 hour turnaround on the trans, zero issues. This man has more than earned my business. You will not regret giving this shop your business!
I am new customer and could not be happier with the whole staff. Allison and Liz were amazing to deal with on the phone. Such good communication. My car was tricky to figure out what was wrong but they didn’t stop until they figured it out. And she drives like a dream again, noise free. Dropped off my 2017 Chevy Trax after experiencing rough engine running on the freeway. It was after hours on Saturday and heard back before 9 on Monday. Was able to talk to Andy to learn more about the known issue I experienced, he advised a fair price and gave me options for longevity of the vehicle. Lucky it happened on your exit, could have been a much worse experience!
Great, friendly, and honest service. Recently had my truck in for a water pump, oil cooler lines, front brakes, and a new battery. They had me up and running in short time and will see me again in the future.
Had work done on our Ford Escape. They did a wonderful job , had it done in no time. Reasonable price. Great people and very friendly. Treat you like family. I definitely will be back for any vehicle troubles.
A friend recommended these folks. Friendly and Knowledgeable technicians. Allison at the desk was friendly and quick to return calls. These folks stick to their quotes and dont change the price when time to pay. I will use them again in the future for sure.
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my car. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and assists me in making decisions about my car. Allison is so warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to make me a tea and spend time talking with me even though I know she was busy. Needed a quick battery replacement, my job was small but Showerman's staff was professional, friendly and fast, I even have a rebate for the part I purchased. I will use them again.
Andy and Allison were both very friendly and helpful! Andy took me back to show me exactly what needed to be fixed, as well as what did NOT need to be fixed. I appreciated him taking the time to go over everything with me and give an honest quote after the dealership had quoted out a bunch of extra stuff that wasn't necessary. Will definitely use them again for any future car repairs!!
I had my truck diagnosed at a local dealership in January and received a quote to have the AC condenser replaced. At that time I opted to do the replacement myself but life happens an I got too busy. I recently took my truck to Andy and Allison and they worked me into their schedule. The repair was done quickly and they kept me informed of the special circumstances with my year and model truck. I can honestly say it was a pleasure taking my vehicle to a repair facility. When anything pops up in the future I will be calling on Showerman's Garage. You guys Rock!
Showed up the morning of their opening day to get radiator problems fixed in my Ford 500. I already knew what the problem was so he took the diagnostic fee off for me and had me back on the road the next day. Clean building, inside and out. Friendly service.
