You go there without knowing if you'll be able to deposit/recycle. (If the containers are full, you can't recycle, and you went for nothing.)

I have had good luck when dropping off recycling as long as people don't stand there and talk. Once in a while it'll be busy.

Stop buying plastic period. No pop in plastic bottles. Eventually they will bring back glass bottles. Styrofoam is full of chemicals and just burn your papers and cardboard boxes. Paper and cardboard comes from wood. Wood is OK for the environment. I'm stuck here with 4 rotten old tires and I wanna know where these go? Someone chime in please and thanks.

To be fair, this is not, a review of the recycling center's location but the city employee who responded to my questions when I called their help line. Ultimately she answered all of my questions, and when she found out I was trying to deposit cardboard boxes she recommended to go to the goodwill near the Lowes. I was going to Lowes that day as well so this was all good news to me. Upon arrival at the goodwill the employee came out ready to go, took all of our cardboard in a bin with little effort required. Thanks to the city employee who helped me I was able to efficiently spend my day in one area, and remove my excessive cardboard. Thank you once again for your help!

The cardboard bin was stuffed full, and there was cardboard all over where it was just thrown down. It was a mess. I called the number, and they said it is hired out weekends. So, no help could be given. I brought my cardboard back home.

I always check the website and call the recycling center number to make sure they are open. I found more time then not the site is reported to be open with no known problems. Only to arrive and the gates are closed or the machines are jammed. The website also states that the Adrian Goodwill will take boxes. Upon arrival at Goodwill there were no bins for cardboard. Very disappointed at the Incompetent management of this facility. Our county should do better to serve it’s citizens that go out of their way to do the right thing and recycle.

I have been there a few times and have not experienced the problems with it being closed as others noted. I was able to put in my recyclables with no problem.

I only go to the recycling about every 4 to 6 weeks. It seems like every time I go it is full or closed. I think they need to manage it better

Who knows what the actual hours of operation are here? Even the sign at the gate is not correct.

Great place to have but the one for cans and bottles is always out of order half the time 😢 people don't read the instructions at all!!

I agree the gates are closed often. If bins are filling up before they get emptied, then they should be emptied more frequently. If the city truly cares about recycling, maybe theyvshould implement some recycling education programs for families. Although its probably easier for them to ask households to pay for curbside pick up!!

Never know when it's actually open, hours of operation mean nothing. Half the time I take trouble to bring in recyclables, the gate is locked. Typical half a***d Lenawee Co. operation.

It's great! Love that we have a place to take our recycles. Wait time is minimal. I did have an experience last week. Another party was dumping plastics with her paper down the paper shoot and I kindly said plastics go over to the other one ,but she was insisted they go with paper. It was no problem, I just left, but was wondering if we need BETTER SIGNS. I think she honestly believed that paper and plastic went together. Thanks for a nice clean place for the people of Lenawee to recycle.

There seems to be an increasing problem with meeting the compacity demands of the program. Given the public response to participating, it would be nice to see the city/county increase its budget and help to facilitate adequate response to full and/or overflowing receptacles. As well as hours of operation. Not having optimal efficiency serves as a deterant to all those who would otherwise take advantage of this municipality.
