Please don’t buy a transmission from quality used transmissions!!! I am luckier than many other reviewers. Luckily I received my transmission and it works fine however it was a massive hassle to get the transmission. Their shipping took almost two months with no communication. I would call them and they would redirect me to a dead number. The trans I got was the right one however it was rusted and had a bent shifter arm. That was no problem but it wasn’t totally the condition that they described it. Even if this is a better deal than any other place you can find, it’s not worth the stress. Go somewhere else!
I would give them a Minus 10 if I could. This is not a reputable business. We ordered a transmission in March, finally got it in April, it wouldn't shift at all. I went back and forth with them saying they were going to replace it, never did. Never credited back credit card either. They drug it out so long I can't get any help from Credit Card Company, still trying. $3180 wasted, plus installation that they were supposed to cover under warranty. What a joke!

This is by far the worst company I have dealt with in my life. Never shipped my transmission. After 30 days I canceled my order. After canceling I was told I would be refunded within 5 business days. After a week, I began calling. The only person who ever answered my phone calls was Judy. She would transfer me to the "proper" department and I would get no answer, or disconnected EVERY time. This literally went on for weeks. Finally after contacting the District Attorneys from New York and Wisconsin, was given a refund. This process took over a month. They are thieves in every way. Stay away. Heads up, they claim to be based out of Michigan, but are actually known as quality used engines based out of Wisconsin. If you need to go after them that's the route you need to give the authorities.
I can't recommend QUT. Be aware: they quote 7-14 BUSINESS days. That's THREE weeks. If you want a refund, they charge a 25% fee. I bought a used transmission from here because the price was quite a bit lower than other options and supposedly it was "in stock." Now, after going without a car for three weeks waiting for the part that they claim was "in stock," I can't say it was worth it (and that's without even knowing if the trans will fit and work for my car because I haven't received it yet). I cannot recommend this place, and wish I paid a little more elsewhere.

I purchased a used transmission for my work truck onJanuary 27th, 2023. I was promised delivery in two weeks. I still have no transmission. They`ve told me multiple lies over the phone and THEN THEY PROMPT YOU TO CANCEL THE ORDER. If you do cancel the order they take 25% of your purchase, plus any shipping costs they have incurred. I am planning to seeek legal council and sue the company. It`s amazing that they get to conduct business with all of the bad reviews they have.

This place is a fraud. Purchased a transmission with 12,000 miles on it and received one with over 90,000 miles. Spoke with 5 different people who kept lying and when they realized they got caught in the lie, they just hang up. No one was even surprised that the purchased product wasn’t what was received. This obviously happens a lot and they don’t do anything for it. They know people are purchasing from them because they are in a bind for vehicle parts so they rip you off.

I Bought a transmission on 9/30/2022 from QUT, I also paid for the labor, the transmission was put in, after 3 weeks of driving it started to slip out of gear, I contacted the warranty department they sent out another transmission, the 1st one was taken out, the second one put in, both labor cost paid by me. I contacted the warranty department to be reimbursed for the labor cost. I spoke to Art, Mary, Prexy in the warranty department, they all have the same line of Bull. Margaret is the person in charge of getting the message to the, as they say (The Higher Up), I should have read the other complaints first. This company is full of you know what. A big SCRAM, they need to be run out of business. I have been getting the run around, drop calls, no refund yet, VERY FRAUDULENT an absolute cut-throat company.
This company led us on for over two months when we ordered a Transmission from them. Little to no communication about order updates. Impossible to contact or get a firm answer from anyone. Stay away at all costs. We had to dispute the charge.

Oh my God DO NOT ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY. We ordered a 5 speed automatic transmission for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When the invoice was sent, it was for a 4 speed. When I called to follow up on the matter, the salesperson told me a 5 speed automatic transmission does not exist. I immediately cancelled the order and was told I would receive a full refund. A week later I received a partial refund and call to complain. While I was talking, I was shut up by being transferred to someone, or a department, who I had to leave a message with, and who never called me back. So, I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General, and told them (over voicemail) that I had done so. I have called repeatedly for the past two days and have been a loud, persistent presence with the same sales rep. Out of curiosity this morning I checked my bank balance, and, surprise surprise, the balance of my refund was there. Do not do business with Quality Used Transmissions. But if you do, be a painful bug up their ads.

I purchased a transmission from them and I received it damaged. I returned the transmission back and asked for full refund. I have been asking for my refund and I haven't received my full refund. I have tried and tried sending emails to Warranty department, Warranty supervisor, and General Manager but no luck. They let you wait for a long time before someone answer the phone. Finally I have to file a dispute with my CC company. Again, please don't buy any parts from this company. Extremely terrible experience. My fault was I didn't check their reviews before buying the transmission.
I bought a transmission from this company. Took 3 weeks to ship and was defective on installation. I submitted a warranty claim and no one answers the phone or reached out to let me know how to ship this back. Have to agree to accept another part, no refund. No customer service. I am out $2800 and no car for over a month. Do not buy anything from these people.
Not sure where to start but here goes. I do solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God. If this company lived by this quote they would become the next world supplier of the products they advertised. Unfortunately they live by scamming... I paid for a transmission as advertised and 7 days later I contacted their corporate office for an ETA. Turns out the product I paid for hasn't been processed and according to their spokesperson wouldn't be processed for shipping until they locate the item I paid for. I disputed the charge after reading their reviews. I received $2047.00 back, however I paid $2730.00, so they charged me $682.50 for services they did not provide. Nice job!!!

At the end of last year I ordered a manual T56 transmission. The web site promises processing in 3-5 days. I spoke with shipping on the fifth of January and they said that the order had not yet been pulled and tested; I cancelled the order but, surprise, the link didn['t work. Upon calling shipping again she stated that she would put a request in manually. Finally on the 10th I got a link; I had previously put the order in dispute. Upon contacting the card company I was told that they deducted over $700.00 from the order.
I contacted refunds and was told that was the charge since I didn't cancel the same day! She then said she was connecting me to the refund department *(she had answered refunds), and was disconnected.
U have since discovered that Quality and its' many DBA's has a long history of FRAUD reported to the BBB of Minnesota and Wisconsin and that presently the Wisconsin Department of Justice has filed litigation against this and its' various DBAs

The company is a 3rd party FRAUD SCAM business who source low quality, untested, and damaged junkyard parts.
The company must be investigated, as they have been reported to the Better Business Bureau numerous times. Be sure to read their BBB complaints and all of their reviews. I encourage everyone who has been scammed to also contact the BBB and file complaints.
They will take your money and send LOW QUALITY damaged and unusable parts that are poorly packaged in saran wrap on a tire.
Carefully read their warranty terms because they will send you damaged parts and make their money by charging 25% for returning unusable parts. They do not honor their stated warranty.
Be sure to record all of your phone calls, communication, and emails with them for evidence, because they will not return emails and route your calls to their customer service (warranty) department which is trained to be unhelpful, rude, and not resolve your issue. Their excuse will be thay they are forwarding you to a supervisor and have sent an email, and will then hang up on you and not answer anymore calls with your caller id.
Extremely rude and not willing to help. Emails are also disregarded. These prople are absolute criminals.

They do not answer their phone. Or return phone calls. Once you order the parts they will not change anything and charge you a restocking fee. I am a Service Manager at a Dealership and I have never seen such HORRIBLE customer service. I cancelled a order 1 1/2hrs after I ordered an engine for a customer and they charged over $600.00 for a restocking fee?? The order never processed. I am in process of contacting BBB and will be filing a claim in small claims court. They are currently under investigation from the states D.A. I repeat this is a scam site. Awful Service !!!!!! I don't think it's possible for their customer service to be worse. I ordered my first transmission and paid via CC. 4 days later, I got a refund on my card with no explanation from them. I called at least 10 times and kept getting transferred around and routed to various voicemails. Finally, I begged someone in sales to look into it and they said it failed QC, so my order was cancelled. I then placed an order for another transmission ($200 higher with more miles) and the same exact thing happened. No surprise, when I looked again (I only did this because the trans I was looking for is fairly rare), there was one for $1,000 more! I ended up ordering from a reputable place on EBAY and had great service.

They called multiple times to tell me they either missed the truck or the shipping company didn't pick it up. Once I got the transmission, I noticed immediately that the oil pan was caved in. I removed the pan to find multiple broken solenoids and wire connectors. I emailed right away and sent photos. I was told to take parts off the old transmission to replace the parts on the one they shipped! When I told Cindy (who is likely the world's worst customer support agent) that was unacceptable, she agreed and said thy'd send a replacement. I have called multiple times per week for 6 WEEKS!!!! I have been told on nearly a dozen occasions that someone from the shipping department would call me back in 20 minutes. I never, not one time, received a call or email from ANYONE! When I pressed the issue, I was simply transferred, where I was immediately hung up on.....time and time again. Keep in mind, I was kind the entire time. I never lost my temper and said please and thank you......until today. I spent nearly an hour on the phone, was transferred, hung up on multiple times and treated very rudely. That's when I lost my patience. Someone transferred me to the shipping supervisor, "Bob Jones" and I got a voicemail. I left a very NOT nice message (never cussed or called names) and demanded a call back within an hour......guess what?!?!?! No call back! These people are terrible and I would't buy a nut or bolt from them! If there's one good thing to come of this, it would be if any of you read this review and keep on shopping! Again, if you choose to buy a transmission from this company, you WILL have problems.......that's a warranty far better than the one they claim to offer!
My name is Ade Stewart and I purchased a transmission for my 2008 Lincoln navigator. I was sent a faulty transmission of which I have contacted and filed for a warranty replacement. I have been scammed. I am contacting my attorney to get my mo way back. Every time I call for for an update I am transferred to Sancho voicemail. Sancho who is supposed to be the supervisor never gets on the phone never returns phone calls I have left approximately five voice messages I have even text his cell phone and have not gotten a response from Sancho do not use this company it is a rip off and a scam.
Do not order from this company. I ordered a transmission and they said 14 days to complete order and I been waiting over a month and they still have not shipped. Everytime I call for a status they tell me they will check into it and call me back or email me, they never return a call or email. When I finally did get some answers they would say "oh its in quality control," or "its on the dock ready to be shipped". That was weeks ago when I got the last response. I have seen other reviews and now I regret ordering from them. This company is a scam. BBB even says that their address cannot be verified. The building that they show they are in is an office building. I will be disputing my transaction with my bank, because they are obliviously not going to send me my transmission.
They took four months to deliver the first transmission that was broken. Then i had to wait another month for them to ship me a replacement transmission. Guess what that one was broken the exact same way the last one was. So six months into this transaction they are now refusing to honor the warranty.
If you value your time and money then the best thing to do is never purchase any products from this company. They are only out to decieve you and steal your hard earned money.
Buyer Beware!!! Ordered transmission for 1998 MB E-Class on 12/9/2019. Called Quality to cancel order on 12/12 and told that I would be charged a restocking fee of $200.00 because the transmission never shipped. The remaining balance would be refunded. Salesman never mention that you can only cancel orders by email.
On 12/18, I received an email stating that trans had shipped. I immediately called Quality and reminded them of our conversation. Salesman told me at that time to go to the email link and cancel the order which I did. Please keep in mind that I'm making monthly calls to Quality about my expected refund. Each time some forward actions are stated but nothing happens i.e we will look into, we will call you back, and we will pick up the transmission from MB. Today (05/08/2020), I called Quality and was told that I owe them money. I have no other choice but to seek other means.
I work for a transmission shop in Texas. A customer of ours wanted to supply his own transmission, because he found such a " great deal" on one. Ha what a joke!! Our customer gave the person on the phone the vin number to his vehicle, and that person ordered the wrong transmission. We received the transmission, and it looked to be a decent part, but it was wrong.
I called our customer to informed him that the transmission we received was in fact the wrong one. He got on the phone with this company, and they told him that he was at fault for ordering the wrong transmission.
They took this elderly man money, and never sent him the correct transmission. This man did not have the money to order another one so he decided to pick his vehicle up.
This company does not deserve to be in business, and shame on them for treating customers that way!!
I myself have called this company several times trying to get the correct transmission, or for someone to even come pick up the transmission they sent.

Decided to forgo purchasing a transmission from this group based on the hundreds of poor reviews. The used subaru transmission we wanted had a lower price elsewhere with a company that had better reviews. Search for "SW Engines" on trust pilot and Google reviews as well, you will find they do not have good reviews, as this is their company as well. They change their names in order to avoid being associated with the older reviews which are all pretty negative. I'm surprised this business is still functioning, but according to the many other reviews they don't honor their warranty, and don't cover the costs, or the time they put you out in order to get a quality part.
Horrible customer service false advertising. I purchased a transmission for my truck and it was supposed to have around 73k miles the one they sent had 159k. They didn’t clean it and didn’t inspect it. They offered me 65 dollars to have it pressure washed. What a joke! It also took 17 business days for delivery. I guess they don’t care that you need. Vehicle to get to work. I will never use them again and I will definitely tell everyone to not use them. Embarrassing company!!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before I had no idea a company could be this bad and still in business. What a bunch of losers!!!!
Do Not Buy form These people !! I purchased a Transmission that came with a 1 year 12,000 mile quoted warranty. They took forever to ship the transmission and ended up being junk. The garage called them and received another Transmission. I was not involved in this part of the exchange. I have not driven the vehicle many miles and the transmission stopped working yet again. The garage I hauled it to called. The person said it only had a 6 month warranty and was out of date. I later found the invoice that said ! Year 12,000 miles. I called today. The guy in warranty was Rude. 1st he stated I already used my warrant. I told him the 1st Transmission was junk. And replaced. He says well you didn't fill out the warranty paper. Yes, I did. I told him is was under warranty and they needed to make it right. He stated he will good nothing. I told him I wanted to talk to the manager. He refused. I said I will report him. He stated. You will do Nothing. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. I am going to report them to the BBB, and My experience will be all over Social Media. Why has no one contacted an Attorney and filed a Class action law suite ? I will check into that as well.

JACKED PRICE UP AFTER I MADE A "REASONABLE OFFER" WHICH THEY INVITED.
Inquired about a used transmission. They quoted me 1020 for a transmission with low miles. Day later they emailed a new offer with $50 off the price and stated that they would consider all reasonable offers. I emailed back, inquired about the fit for my vehicle (w/ VIN #) and offered them $900. They merely replied that their best price was the $1020 (went back up $50!!!) and never addressed the "fit". If their customer service is this bad before the sale, made me wonder what would happen once they had my money.
I was going to order anyway, using their old offer with the $50 off, then read their fine print which essentially says they don't guarantee the mileage they quote on the part they're selling, all orders are final and they won't guarantee a shipping or delivery date, etc... Was enough to make me look for reviews on them before punching in my CC info.
Glad I read the reviews, most are negative, most fall into the specific areas that I was concerned about.

I’ve gotten less than 2000 miles out of a transmission I purchased last month.. on my way to work blew up without any warning. Called them over 10 times. Left 2 messages and still no response. A year warranty? HAH! they don’t answer the phones. Funny though I called the sales department, and they answer right away though? Transferred me back to warranty department and right to voicemail again.. scumbags. Stay far away from these guys. Guess we have to get a higher authority to deal with these guys.
My business installs about 10-15 used and rebuilt transmissions a month. I was sent a transmission that would not go into gear at all once installed. The company took their time sending me another replacement. It has been almost 4 months and this company still has called or contacted me regarding the reimbursement that they guarantee. The Warranty they offer means NOTHING! I offer full service to my customers and always take care of them. This company (obviously) does not have the same care for their customers. I covered a rental car for my customer while she waited for her truck to be done. That was paid by me! I will NEVER use this company again. Buyer beware with these guys!!!
