I live in Oxford, down state. Originally from the UP, and was making a trip up to the Soo to see my kids and granddaughters. As soon as I got there, my car started wailing, and so I headed to the nearest auto zone, where a very polite, professional, kind, and friendly person named Damon helped me. When my car didn't throw any new codes on the scanner, he took a quick look, diagnosed the problem, and immediately after he went inside to double check, said that he had the tensioner assembly inside, and could order me the correct belt and have it in the morning. He also let me leave my car there overnight, and referred me to a local shop with a VERY highly recommended mechanic with super reasonable prices!! I got lucky and have a son in law who could handle the repair for me, but I wanted to leave a stellar review for both this young man in particular, and the small town conveniences and competitive prices offered by the store itself. Thanks so much for saving my weekend!!
I took my car to get a battery changed that’s all that was wrong with my car. They changed my battery and my car wouldn’t start they tried to figure out why my car wouldn’t start for 3 hours and 3 guys later and still nothing and there answer was it was my starter and I needed to by a new one and it wasn’t even a worker that told me that it was a 16 year old working on my car that’s not cool. so I had to have my car towed home and come to find out the only reason my car wasn’t starting is because they didn’t hook up the starter cable to the battery. They told me they had a mechanic on standby but no mechanic came to look at my car to actually tell me what the problem was so I wasn’t going to buy a starter just because they said it was my starter and good thing I didn’t. I will never go to this place again. It’s not that hard to pay attention to what you’re doing on someone else vehicle. Trying to blame me and say I’m the one who needs to figure it out was not okay and not taking any responsibility, if they wouldn’t have changed my battery I would have drove my car off the lot. Pay more attention to what your doing when working on a customers car or if you don’t know what your doing go get someone who can do it right.
My lady took her car in for a batterie change yesturday. They go ahead and swap it and apparently break a fuse. Did not have the fuse had to order it or pick it up. They install it in the morning and the car won't start and now they’re saying the starters broken and it’s not their fault. The car was running when we brought it and broken when they were done. I would like this to make sense but at no point did anyone explain one point why the starter would go out when changing the battery or fuse. Also they had 3 or 4 people running in and out poking at it and a lot of different answers to what was wrong. This is at no point an exaggeration I’m sure I’m missing quite a few details. Definitely cannot and will not suggest here for anything.
Aaron and Dave were extremely helpful when purchasing a 13 quart oil change, my girlfriend was picking it up for me and they even loaded it into the truck for her. Thanks dudes??
This will be the only place I go in town for anything auto-related after my last visit!
I needed a new battery so I swung by on a Saturday early afternoon. The store was a little busy but I was waited on quite quickly. Sam took care of me from start to finish and boy he was excellent.
He came outside and tested my battery for me and explained what was going on, showed me my options for my make/model vehicle, and explained everything very well. After purchasing my new battery he went above and beyond. He cleaned my terminal connectors, installed the new battery, made sure it was set in correctly, and was genuinely a very pleasant person to meet. He made sure it was done 100% correctly. One of the gals gave my dog some biscuits as she waited patiently inside my truck. This was all exceptional!
Everything was great! There is nothing I can complain about. Even the store interior was very well clean! Best service and place in town! 100% pleased! Thank you!
(Maggie was pretty wore out when we got home after her escape and escapades in another parking lot and her McDonalds burger. She wasn't wanting to be photogenic lol)
EDIT: Today on my way to work when I was pulling into my work parking lot whoever was driving the White AutoZone van at about 6:45-6:50 on the I-75 Business Spur nearly rear ended me. I had my turn signal on and watched in my rear view mirror as the driver flew up on me forcing me to jump on the gas as he barely moved into the right lane. Very close to hitting me, very ticked off. Watched as he flew down to the roundabout.
Not sure if it is a local employee or regional but I am going to be contacting AutoZone corporate about this. This was way too close for comfort for me. This is why cameras should be mandatory (if they are not already) in business vehicles. There has to be accountability for reckless driving.
The service was less than expected. Bought wiper blades for car. 74.44. I've purchased part in the pass with great service and fair price. Screw me once on me. Force me to shop on line.
Broke down miles away from home, thank you Daniel R for all the help. We were able to borrow the tools we needed to get fixed and back on the road. It is people like this that makes for a GREAT employee and make me want to aways use Auto Zone. I can not tell you how much Auto Zone helped take away the stress we were under. Thank You Auto Zone and Daniel R!!!
A good place to buy auto parts staff is very friendly and willing to help however they can always been treated good and always got the right parts even if they had to look up online to find out where I could get the part because they do not handle it just the best
I have (unfortunately) had to go to AutoZone for multiple reasons this past month. The staff is always helpful, but I felt the need here to highlight Cody in particular. Cody has always been extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. From changing fuses to recommending products to replacing batteries, I have nothing but positive raves to say about him and this AutoZone in particular (and I have been to many across the U.S.). He is always cheerful and ready to help - even if it involves changing batteries in -10F weather with -30 wind chill. Great staff and store that is always ready to meet one's needs!
Amazing customer service! Cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service. They have most part I have needed in stock. Very helpful to get you the right part for the job.
Talked to a Ben at AutoZone, very friendly and helpful, knew right away what I needed, gave me his best price on the gas tank for my 2004 Tundra, and had it for pick up the next day. I will go back to them next time I need a part.
