When I drop off our vehicle, they ask are you for sure its the wheel bearing, I told there what we are experiencing and seeing. We had past experiences with vehicles doing the same thing and it was the wheel bearing. The guy I talk to said its probably the brakes, but we will look at it. I never said I had trouble braking. When it was time to pick up the vehicle, they did say it was the wheel bearing that we thought it was and also told me that the other side abs was not plugged in. They couldn't get pluged back in, so the light stay on. Which there was no lights on the vehicle until the wheel bearing went out. The repair shop gave me a list of stuff that the car could use supposedly. I asked for an estimate of those repairs I never got one just the list of recommendations. As, I am driving the car home, I still here a noise like it's a wheel bearing still. We called them up and they said it was replaced, etc. We took it Bell Tire to get an oil change and they plug our abs back in from the other side and the light went away for that, but still have has a noise. How did Bell Tire get the abs to plug back in, but the repair shops couldn't. In the end, my fiance and I took a look more and felt around, did our research and figured out the problem ourselves. Funny thing is it wasn't a repair on their list they gave me. We won't go back there, we will find somewheres else to go to, to get the repair fixed. By the way my fiance legally blind and help figure it out.
WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!! We went here because the abs light came on and we started hearing a sound in the front right tire, they supposably inspected it said it had a bad wheel bearing on front right tire they charged $370 something to supposably fix, but they said the pig tail plug in on left front tire for abs was unplugged and crossed and couldn't be plugged in so abs light was still on. We get the car back and it was still making same noise and went and got a oil change at Bell tire and they noticed the pig tail plug in was unplugged so they plugged it in and our abs light was off and it was so wow Bell tire clearly is better. Then I got sick of the noise I'm blind and I felt around and found the spring is touching the wheel. A blind guy finds the issue over a licensed mechanic shop where did they get their license from a cracker jack box. no worries I don't drive lol but know some about cars clearly more then this place, I don't know how they are in business with a good rating I'm shocked.
Shawn and Angie at Bay Shore are amazing. Shawn's really good about helping you understand what's wrong with your car, and Angie is a great at communicating prices and upfront costs of what it will cost. Will always go back to them for repair work. A trustworthy small mechanic shop that's focus on the customer rather than the how much they can make.

We were visiting the Bay Harbor area, and experienced an intermittent noise and a thump under the driver side floorboard. We had to be in Cheboygan next, an hour ride from Bay Harbor, then make the three and a half hour trip back down state to the Detroit area. Shawn got us in, on top of being busy. Went above and beyond helping us get to and from his shop while my Hummer was being repaired, and even gave us a follow up text afterwards to make sure our trip went well, and we made it home safely! I can’t say enough about Shawn, the great service, and genuine concern for his customers! He is honest, prices are fair, and the work is top notch! Thanks again!

The customer service, logistics, diagnostics, evaluation, repair plan communication and the completion of repairs on time/on schedule was excellent. Shawn explains whats going on with the vehicle but first Ms. Angie either gets you scheduled or accommodates an unexpected problem right then and there. We broke down while in the area from Colorado. While waiting for a tow truck we called about 6 or 7 shops and nobody could get us in. These guys found a way to get us in despite the fact that they too were very busy and get us going the next day. Highly recommended!! Thank you Bay Shore Undercar!!
Impressive by all accounts, my car had been to THREE Mechanics to diagnose an issue with the cooling system and was beginning to feel like a lost cause. After extensive unnecessary part swapping guess work I took it into Bayshore. My car was fixed and finished on time as promised. Not only was the service prompt the price was fair and they were even attentive enough to reach out to say thank you for my business and then follow up shortly after to make sure that my car was running well and that the repair was satisfactory. If you are driving a foreign car I cannot stress enough the importance of having someone who knows what they are doing. The folks at Bay Shore Undercar certainly know what they are doing and are without a doubt top shelf!
I've taken my Mercedes R320 to Shawn and Angie for years and they always "give it to me straight". In fact, I had a problem with a 3rd party warranty provided and Shawn really went above and beyond to help me deal with that vendor directly. I will continue to bring our cars here for service as long as they are open for business, and you should too!

There are plenty of places you can take your car or truck for service, and I checked a few before I came here. They are the most outstanding repair place I found. Not only is the work is top notch but also the owner and crew are as well. They take the time to explain what the problem is, then they will even work with you. Now there are very few places that will do that for you. I will continue to have both my car and truck serviced there but I would highly recommend you as well.

Since I moved back to the area, I looked not only here between Petoskey and Charlavoix, I also looked in cheboygan and everywhere in between for not just a good mechanic but an outstanding one. I was a mechanic in the navy and was used to top notch work. The boys at Bay Shore Undercar Service ( BSUS ) are the people I was looking for. They go out of there way to make sure you car or whatever you drive in, is safe and repaired right. It has been 10 years now since I started going here. I have no wish to go anywhere else.

My experience began great. Quick service and I felt like they were honest. However, when it came time to pick it up I was told a part broke during the repair and that "it happens." They expected ME to pay for the part! I later learned from other mechanics the part that they broke should not have even been messed with for this particular repair. I'm sorry but you break it you fix it, pure and simple.
