The store attendsandts were rude. One guy was smoking. Their yard is small and the selection is hideously limited.
I just wasted my time & gas, but at least I've learned that this place is not worth visiting.
Holland in North Billerica remains the best in Massachusetts. You can pull parts yourself, they have large selections and their price is astoundingly generous.
Called for a part, was told they had it. I asked if I could pick it up tomorrow since it was 4:30. No problem. I gave them my name. I drove all the way there and was told "I thought I have the part but I don't". They were going to charge me $50 for a used grill. I'm getting a new one for $58 from ebay with free shipping. Don't go here without checking ebay first new is better than used and you don't want to show up and have them tell you oops we don't have that like we told you. Junk yards are closing down everywhere and this is why. Poor management.
This place is great place to get parts and the people that work there are nice to ! I have Ben going there fir over 10 years easy every time has Ben worth the trip also I sold them a bunch of my junk car aswell
There’s an employee here that will always tell you they don’t have your part immediately after you say what you need. I have had this happen 3 times already but other employee have told me yes to call back on this day so they can pull it because that’s the day someone will be here. Day you call lazy worker will tell you no we don’t have it until you say I know you do I was told you do then he looks it up!
The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. I feel bad for anyone who has to work or be around this woman! Have you ever been having a great day, but then immediately after saying "hi how are ya, I'm hoping you can help me" then you hear 3 words come out of someone's mouth and your day is ruined? No? Gotta try this place! This woman gets the 'nasty shop worker of the year award' good thing it's a junk yard! Most likely because she has zero customer skills so Friendly's fired her. Just guessing. I went 30 seconds up the street to Sams and was treated with respect and knowledgeable employees. Don't waste your time here.

I was met by an older lady and an older gentleman today around 9:50 AM,
I just had a few general questions and I was met with “this is not how we do things around here” I was confused they both we’re very defensive at the very first sight of contact with me, The lady even followed me out the store to explain to me that I could not drive my vehicle up to the property when in all seriousness I was just leaving the property!

You can't just go in to see what's available. Which is what most people going to a salvage yard prefer to do. They want you to specify what vehicle and what part you want. If they didn't inventory it in their system, they'll just say no we don't have it. Yet, not everything is inventoried.
Extremely rude staff at the front counter both times I've visited. Junkyard selection is thin and not at all like what's pictured on their site, the cars they do have have all been sitting there for many months. Just go right across the street to Sam's Pull-A-Part instead.
Worcester street projects blow out your tire, bend your rim... Go to Standard. They have smart people with common sense and top notch helpful to work with. They make your car problem, a no problem! Make sure you say hello to the junkyard dog. Find him on a chair behind the service counter. Used them for car parts before, a hidden jewel is their tire & rims department. Super guy to work with
If you are looking for parts, give them a call. They may have what you want at a fraction of the cost of something new I just found something for $40 that I was quoted 765 for the same part through the dealer. They are quick and do installations as well I'd highly recommend them.

My friends and I have come here multiple times to get parts for our cars: all early 00's Japanese makes. This place has such a large selection they'll almost certainly have what you need. The staff is very accommodating and let me return a door when I pulled the wrong one! Prices are good and they have some tools in a bin if you forget yours. Easily my favorite yard around.
Fair prices, easy to get to, quick turnaround time for dismantling and easy pickup. I dealt with Kevin and he was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks again guys.
Call ahead to inquire about specific parts, I've come to this business for years, since I was a teenager, when I need a used auto part. Throughout the years, they have had nearly everything I've ever needed. If they don't have it, they'll give you recommendations as to where you could find said part. They're very friendly, but also very busy, so if they don't sound so friendly on the phone, it's because they super busy with a line of mechanics waiting to pick up parts. There is an area specifically designated to tires, sales, repairs, balancing and mounting. I've had cars with special tires (which usually are very difficult to locate used) and they usually have at least one. If they don't, Sam's or Linders, right up the road will.
Every time I have gone to standard they are always polite and extremely helpful! I have had some pretty stressful situations with cars and they always put my mind at ease. I got a transmission from them a few years ago for my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ran amazingly strong! Would recommend them to anyone who needs quality junkyard parts!! Mike Gleason was helpful, patient, and polite!
Mike Gleason is one of the best. I have been loyal to this place for the past year and Mike has been very helpful and has been pleasant every time. Just dont go in there being disrespectful and you won't be disrespected.

This place would have a 5 star rating but the gentleman on the phone all three times my girlfriend has called has been rude with comments like “o I might have the part” “o my guys will have to dig their way through the snow to get it” “I might be caught up by the time you come down I might not be” that’s not the type of comments someone answering the phone should be saying to someone calling before they drive 80 miles to come get a part she trust this place says she’s been here before and it’s the only place she will go to get parts because she’s been there before and knows how good of a job they do. I just think the man on the phone could have a better attitude towards potential customers especially if they are repeat customers who tell people they know they should go to this place for parts. My girlfriend is originally from Worcester recently moved out of state but driving all the way there, she shouldn’t feel bad about going to get a part because the man on the phone says comments like the ones above.
NEVER BRING YOUR CAR TOO THIS PLACE!! I had a flat tire and was driving on a donut, I’m a college student and was looking for somewhere cheap to find a tire + rim. I brought my car here and paid for a rim and tire...however, when I pulled my car off of the lot I knew something was wrong with my car. The wheel instantly started shaking the entire time I was driving which it had not done prior to getting the tire + rim from standard auto. I returned the following day to see if they could take a look and see if there was something wrong, only to be screamed at by the “owner” and be told that they did nothing wrong and their employees are fully capable of doing their job...I think not!! I brought my car to a new mechanic, come to find out the internal construction of the tire was completely shifted and there was a belt missing inside of the tire. This is a safety issue and could’ve been much worse had I not found the issue sooner!!
Awesome place. They Guy working today at the counter was very friendly and helpful right from the start. He went above and beyond to help us today. It was our first time going there and I'm positive we will be back. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for parts and or towing.
Went there today after Sam's didn't have one, wont ever go back again. Kid behind the counter was helpful but guy behind the right counter (owner?) Extremely rude!! Kept making comments under his breath ... for no apparent reason ( I wasn't being rude, just trying to buy a part) Sam's gets $25 for a power mirror, $15 non powered, You take it off (3 nuts). They wanted $75 taken off, $50 if you take off for a non powered mirror... I said really that much? and I explained both Sam's and On Ebay I can get a New powered mirror for under $50. I wanted to do business just lower the price a little and I would of done it, maybe $35 I'll take it off, But that's when this happened:
Guy behind the right side talks and says "Then you should buy one on there then!!" Really how rude is that? I'm not lying and why would you even say that?? I said WOW, shook my head and said thanks for the helpful business, as I laughed out loud, I just couldn't believe how rude that was!! Then I said I'm sorry but you just lost a customer, I will never come back here again, that was horribly rude!!
Went in on Thursday and ordered and paid for my part and picked it up Friday at lunch time. Very courteous and you get the feeling like they are not trying to play you. Also had a couple used cars out front that between the prices and mileage , I wish I wasn't in the process of moving because instead of picking up a part I would have been picking a new car. Great place thou.....
I bought a car from these people for 4300 cash and they promised me everything mechanical is under warranty for a year. I had a problem with my transmission and they supposedly put in a new one with much laziness and rudeness. It's only been about three weeks and my transmission is having problems again. I don't even think they put in a new one. They are a fraud. I'm in the process of filing court documents. This is unfair. I wouldn't do business with these folks.
AWESOME! This yard did not have a good reputation in the past but wow have they turned things around. Everyone is really polite and really helpful especially if you can pull the part yourself they will try their best to give you a REALLY REALLY good deal. Last time one of the guys at the counter even offered me a ride so I wouldn't have to carry all my stuff back in.
DONT go to sams up the hill.. everytime I've been there they are really disrespectful and even the people at the counter don't know their own prices.
My thanks and appreciation for the great effort, attention, and service I received from Mike, and the entire crew, in the Tire/Wheels Dept at Standard! My Jetta was a bit of a challenge at first, but they found great tires and pretty good wheels for winter handling on my Jetta, and installed all 4...at a very reasonable price!
I stopped by for my first experience at Standard looking for a spare tire for my VW and was very happy that I did. It was like clockwork from start to finish. A man behind the counter directed me to the tire department as soon as I entered the door. They put together a really nice tire spun balanced and ready to go in less than a half hour. There is a nice atmosphere to the place and a comfortable waiting area with tv. Highly Recommended.
Called other junk yards price of wheel was $$$ much more.
When I called Standard they referred me to tires. Rick was very helpful and courteous. We texted back and forth to make sure we had the right part at 4:55p.m. I called I was ten minutes away they agreed to wait and my wheel was only $65.00! Excellent service.
Poor customer service - even for a junkyard. I was unable to get a sentence in before being transferred. After waiting on hold, I was transferred to an impatient guy in the "tire department" who cut me off repeatedly as I tried to explain what I needed. I hung up disgusted. I don't expect great customer service on the phone from a salvage yard, but these guys are ridiculous. They are the only outfit in New England that has the part I need, but I still will not give them the business.
I found them to be okay, but what bugged me is that the gas tank that I purchased still had all the fuel in it (at least two thirds full) and on top of that I called them to check if the part was available and they said it was, so I took my car went the 40 minute drive only to be told it had to be taken off the car, which would take about 4 days, naturally I was annoyed, I returned 4 days late in my sedan, it turns out the tank was a lot bigger than I had originally thought, but I was determined to get it in, the guys there laughed at me and added a sarcastic "Good luck!" I found that unnecessary, I was mostly upset about the gas though, that was ridiculous.
