Please avoid this business at all costs. If I could put no stars I would. Mark is unbelievably rude & disrespectful to customers if he feels like it. Was told the store was closed and “I’m all set” immediately upon entering. Confused, because the store was open & it was midday, we left. Saw other customers exiting the store 10 minutes later, (with purchased items) and am just really left in awe on what he was “All set” on? If you ask me he seems miserable and should stop working with the public, if he is just going to discriminate against people for his own shameful entertainment. And yes, he and those near to him should be ashamed of treating people the way he does.
Went in check out guy had poor attitude not very friendly I picked up an item guy said none of thats for sale everything had price tags on it then I asked if anything on a shelf was for sale guy starting go on a rant running his mouth i called him out the left he then came out after I got in my truck trying get me to fight him I just laughed waived and left his little establishment id say that was most poor shopping experience i ever had guy is just a poor sad angry little man so I went to another place scored a nice porcelain cigar sign from jeremiah's in putnam guys real friendly and not afraid to haggle a good price I recommend going there or TOMS collectibles auburn mass
First time in this store and it will be the last. I wanted to buy a wheelbarrow that had no price. It needed work and was not big but I recognize the old metal wheel and loved it's look. The person at the counter, who was not a gentleman and certainly not even close to being a good business owner, asked me to make him an offer. I threw out $50. He yelled at me! Told me my offer was an insult and I was rude. He told me at least 3 times he paid $75 and he would take no less than $150 for it. Why ask for an offer if you have a solid price? I had 4 other items in my hands that I planned to buy and left them on his counter, while he continued calling me rude, yelling at me the whole time I walked out. It's too bad because he has beautiful items and mostly everything I saw was in great shape but I won't do business with a bully! No one deserves to be treated disrespectfuly. NO ONE!!!
Incredibly kind gentleman who is willing to negotiate prices. The store is packed with vintage jewelry and antique furniture. If you like to hunt and gather, you’re in for a good time. 10/10
absolutely LOVE this place!! it’s my go to for some timeless unique pieces!! he always gives me a great deal and always has funny jokes while i’m browsing. also very helpful for specific things i’m looking for and very honest and straightforward about any questions i have. would 10/10 recommend this store!!
We visited for the first time recently as part of a tour for retired ladies and we will not be back. He shouldn't be working with the public.
We walked in and commented that he had fresh eggs for sale. Which I find is unusual for an antique store to begin with, but nonetheless. "10 bucks" he says without us asking the cost. Shocked at the price, I said that my neighbor sells farm fresh eggs for $4 a dozen. His response in a nutshell was, "Then go support your neighbor. Not small business. I don't need your kind. You can leave. " So we did and visited the adjacent store who was so welcoming and supported them instead.
I wouldn't suggest women go in this store alone. If at all.
The owner is so generous and kind. I went in hopeful and left with a new friend. He gave me a great deal on jewelery that continues to look beautiful. I frequently get compliments from strangers on a few of the necklaces. I highly recommend going in and saying hi!
Came to a sell gold necklace and a gold bracelet and had a great experience, I didn't tell him the reason why I needed the money over then rough times but he was very kind to give me even more then what I was asking. And the true was that I needed the money because I had to send money to my parents in honduras because my mom had a heart attack and has been in the hospital for days and the hospital was charging them per day and needed the money to pay them for her to keep being treated.
Awesome experience! So nice. Looked through all my old jewelry and helped me find the perfect necklace to hold my wedding ring ? and a temporary ring so I don't feel naked! ?
I've known Mark for years, he's a very fair and honest guy with a lot of knowledge. Upfront and straightforward. Great place to bring your antiques and precious metals.
Went here today(7/20/2024) as you can never be sure if this place is opened or closed and asked how much they were paying for premium silver 1 oz maple leafs (it says they buy gold and silver on the sign) the only man/person there replied "depends on market conditions" so understandably I know the spot price of silver changes from min to min. I hoard silver myself. Typical buyers of gold or silver will buy from you based on this spot price and 5% or 10% some only pay 20% less than this spot price, but it is a % based on this spot price. Which makes sense. I asked him again so based on the spot price what do you pay 5% less than spot 10% less than spot. Again he repied "depends on market conditions" so at that point i wasnt sure what he was referring too. I asked him "can you tell me what market conditions mean?" He then replied "why dont you get the hell out of my store" and mind you I am with my 10 yr daughter, at that point we started walking out, and then he went mad, yelling something crazy i couldn't understand it,but we ran as fast as we could out of there! He scared the heck out of her and I. I wouldn't suggest anyone going in there, that man is a troubled individual. And obviously he will rip anyone off he can. Sounds like he will tell different people different things depending on how much he thinks you know. He plays a good con game, or at least he thinks he does. If hes not selling you something then hes looking to rip you off and if he cant, you best leave him alone, as there is no telling what he may do. Very scary situation thats for sure. Very scary.

REPLY to your reply on 8/5/2024 : I asked you what you were paying several times. and very nicely as well. you would not answer. why I don't know, then you freaked out. that was not only WEIRD but down right SCARY. Every time we pass your place now with my 10 year she says "that's that manic guy right dad" you actually bruised her youth. you need serious help.
############################Look at HIS other reviews. Reviews tell all. There are way too many places to sell your Metals to that will give you well beyond this con mans prices. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE look at him responding to other negative reviews all today after "months" i am sure he will have a con for that as well. He has more likes on his bad reviews then his good.
WOW! Tons of beautiful pieces and fun treasures inside the doors! Beautifully restored wood bureaus and drawer antique pieces by the owner who is a master woodworker! Excited to go back!
Left some items to be appraised as I was moving, owner assured me he would be in touch with a figure and send me a check, haven't heard from him since and won't respond to my text.
Huge selection of antique and costume jewelry, watches, furniture and collectibles at very reasonable prices. Found so many unique pieces and overall super helpful and attentive service. Highly recommend!
Stopped in on a whim today to kill some time. The store is just what you think it is a plethora of cool stuff. The owner Mark was super nice and had no problem answering all my random questions about items and the business in general. I bought the beautiful vintage jewelry in the photo and look forward to going back and shopping more. If your looking for unique items or cool stuff this is a good place to check out
