I would highly recommend Oakdale Rehab to anyone. The business staff at Oakdale helped us so much in getting my mom the care she needed. Once my mom was a resident, she shared with me that she felt safe and secure. She is able to get the socialization she needs as well as the physical therapy she had a hard time receiving before when she was at home. The nursing staff have been wonderful; they keep me informed of everything that is going on while providing attentive care for my mom. Thank you to all who work there!
I just wanted to thank the staff at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. My father was recently a resident with them and received the absolute best care. The nurses were very attentive to my dad and were always polite to our family. I hated that my dad had to spend his last few years in a facility, but we weren’t able to provide him with the amazing care he got from Oakdale. If he had to be in a facility, I’m glad it was there. After his passing, they were so kind and gentle with the transition of his belongings. Again, thank you so much for treating my dad so well.
My brother was a resident at Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing facility. I am writing to let everyone know how happy we were with his care. Each staff member that was associated with his care was friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I highly recommend this facility.
My cousin was a resident at Oakdale for a couple of years. Prior to his move, he had spent time rehabbing at the facility.
When l visited him, l noticed how attentive, positive and helpful the staff was. He told me on more than one occasion that they took good care of him.
They even allowed us to use their dining room for a family-only birthday party. And some of the staff came as well.
I would highly recommend anyone requiring rehab or long term care to consider Oakdale.
My grandmother was here for 2 weeks for rehab after a surgery. I visited daily and am so thankful to the care provided and the compassion the staff expressed. Pat the 11-7 nurse was one of her favorites and Michelle from activities encouraged her and it was a great overall experience.
I came to this rehab on the recommendation of the case manager at Keominster Hospital. I had a total knee replacement on 2/3 went home, fell and ended up having surgery on same knee on Thursday. I came to this place with the knowledge it was rated a 5 star from Medicare. Well, as a patient I would not give this place 5 stars. The food is horrible, never hot and served sub par. The help hardly speaks English and when you put your light on it sermd you are bothering them. While I was a patient I had a CNA administer my meds to me twice each round with narcotics. You never see the nurse during the 3-11 shift. The physical therapy department is fantastic nothing bad to say about them. However, on a whole, I definitely would not recommend this facility for rehab.
I just received a human voice call from Oakdale, an alleged nursing home asking me "how is your current (CURRENT, a human voice said 'current') experience at Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston, Massachusetts," and when I informed this 'person' that my mother is DEAD, and that she is only dead because Oakdale neglected to identify the typical symptoms of a common infection that could have been easily and quickly treated and instead my mother lost consciousness and DIED because of Oakdale's NEGLIGENCE, and that to clarify, MY MOTHER IS DEAD, the 'human' woman hung up. Oakdale NEVER called me with condolences, and of course never acknowledged that the facility KILLED MY MOTHER by ignoring symptoms of a common infection, but that's 'American' *healthcae*, right? When is anybody going to raise a fist at this criminal injustice? THIS IS MURDER! And this call, just now, was the WORST FORM OF INHUMANITY that exemplifies the "United States." ?
Came to see our relative Bob. The decor is very nice. They have a little place called "the cafe" where we could talk one on one with Bob. There's coffee and glass windows. We had a great time with Bob. The staff were very helpful and personable.
Having read some negative reviews on here I have to say those reviews are in no way an accurate reflection of the Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston, MA.
The staff is dedicated, polite and professional. Every effort is made to spread a smile across the face of those living or visiting the facility. Proper and appropriate staffing is a top priority. Employee, resident and family concerns are taken extremely seriously.
The facility is clean; safe and welcoming.
First Choice for long term care.
My 92 year old Dad has been staying here for 10 days. The staff has been very kind, thoughtful and good. PT and OT have been in excellent. Also the activity room has a variety of good projects and entertainment.
Dirty, awful food, inconsistent care, unkind administration staff, poor pay for most care staff who appear to be trying to help and then leave as not paid, trained or supported by administration, all about maximizing money and reducing care to reduce costs. Mostly patients sit alone in their rooms doing nothing. Rare rehabilitation opportunities and seeming no mental help therapy available die patients. Patients in the rec room supposedly busy with activities with their heads on the tables zonked out on something. Utterly depressing.
Don’t go there!!! My father was put in a chair and left to sit there all day with no one getting him up other than the therapist. Just awful!! Patients would yell out for help and no one came. Heartbreaking!
My 80 year old mother-in-law was recently transferred to Oakdale Rehabilitation in West Boylston, MA after a hip replacement due to a fall. She has asked me to post a review.
These are her words:
"The Staff, Orderlys Therapists, CNAs, and Nurses, the Chef and kitchen staff are exemplary. With compassion and true care they supported me and facilitated my recovery in such a way that were I ever in a situation again to need care of this nature, I will insist on returning to the Oakdale Rehabilitation facility.
I cannot say enough about the care I received. I felt safe. The CNAs, Nurses and care takers were gentle with me and responded quickly if I called for help. The therapists are top-notch. Not only did they show me how to function safely with day-to-day tasks, they encouraged me to work as hard as I could manage to make my stay as short as possible, as of course, I wanted to go home.
The food was good! (she said that with a big smile)
I was treated with dignity and respect. That alone says it all.
