I needed an oil change a few weeks back. Job completed timely and efficiently. While the car was there, Grove Street reviewed my vehicle and issues it may be having. I was sent a report card and asked if I wanted any of those services complete. I didn't feel sold, i felt informed. After a couple weeks they followed up with my "report card" for my car and I booked another appointment. During the process, I was informed and updated to progress. Great communication. My favorite part was next. During a test drive on my car after performing a service, the tech hit something and one of my tires was deflating. They called me and were honest about it and said they would put a new tire on at their cost and finished the work that day. No questions, no haggling. Pure open honest communication. Very happy customer.

I can't praise Grove St Auto highly enough for their professionalism, skill, and kindness. After my driver side mirror got smashed off (the one week I had to work in the office multiple days), I was looking for an alternative to a big dealership for repairs, and was thrilled to find a local repair shop in town. I was even more thrilled when I called and was immediately speaking to Donna who took the time to make sure I was okay and actually went out of her way to figure out if they had the ability to solve my problem before I even headed in for an estimate. Once I did arrive, their service continued to be excellent, with staff explaining exactly what the process would be, and even giving me a lift home when I mentioned I would need to call a ride share as my very patient wife was at work. That same day I got a detailed report outlining the repairs needed, as well as identifying a number of additional issues that could have caused serious problems in the future, and my mechanic Mike called me to explain everything and lay out the different options for repair. The price was incredibly reasonable given the repairs asked for, and in two days I had my car back as good as new. The whole time I deeply appreciated their clear communication, and just how friendly everyone I talked to was. They were open and honest about what could and could not be done, I I’m definitely going to continue using them going forward. One of the best parts of living in Franklin is our many wonderful local businesses, and I’m happy to add Grove St. Auto to my growing list my family relies on.

We’ve been taking our cars to Grove Street Auto for years, but I wasn't sure if they handled EVs once we made the switch. I’m happy to report they did a fantastic job with the maintenance on my Tesla Model Y, including new tires, air filters, and brake caliper service. Rich was a pleasure to deal with and the quality of work was excellent. I highly recommend them for any vehicle—gas or electric.

I would not recommend this place, they’re unfortunately a scam! I brought my car for a diagnostic test, most mechanics do for free or a very small fee. Here I got charged $170! And was told they were doing a full inspection of my vehicle to figure out the problem with my car. That it also included a top off of any fluids I needed and that was never done. When I got my car back, I was given a list of things possibly wrong, and the main issue was my starter needed to be replaced, yet if my car can start with a jumpstart and by charging my battery nightly, the starter would not be the issue. It most likely is the alternator going bad. They also were going to charge me $1,400 for a new starter! This place absolutely is a scam and I would not trust them! Please don’t fall for all the fake 5star reviews they’ve generated to look like a reliable place. And I’m going to add after trying to cover their behind by messaging more BS back to me, their response is false! I absolutely got quoted $1,400 for a new starter by Tim who did my diagnostics. And I will not call back this place where they scam people! I have found a much more trustworthy mechanic in Rhode Island.

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the service at Grove St. I had mechanics I trusted in Ashland, the I moved to Franklin and felt like I kept getting ripped off. Then someone suggested Grove Street, and I would say it’s the best place I’ve ever brought a car. I drive 40k miles a year so my car is in the shop for lots of different services over the years. These guys are honest, fair priced, and help me stay on the moved with a loaner.

I’ve brought my car to Grove Street Auto in the past and always had a great experience. Every single employee is pleasant to interact with. Most recently, I brought my car in because it was shaking vigorously at highway speeds and the steering wheel was turning to the right when driving around town. Mike was very friendly and a great communicator. He sent over a detailed inspection report and called me to review it and come up with an action plan. Fixed it the same day and my car is back on the road and driving great! Love Grove Street Auto. Thanks guys!

Great service. Gave me a complete diagnosis with every little small thing that was wrong, with a paper copy to keep. Very easy to communicate with and knew what they were talking about. They also leave it up to you what you do and don’t want to do to your vehicle. Price was perfect for what I had done.

Being a single older woman dealing with car issues is never easy . But finding Grove St. Auto made me feel at ease and comfortable. They are honest and friendly and made me feel confident in them . I would highly recommend them.

Grove St continues to be my go-to mechanic. As someone who doesn't know cars, this is by far the best place to get clear and understandable recommendations. They always help me prioritize what to fix on my old car and keep my previous records to compare service. They get things done very quickly and the small price increase for the multi-point inspection is completely worth it in my opinion. Highly recommend.

These guys are great! I went in for a state inspection and was seen immediately. Even though my car was rejected, they clearly explained why it had failed and what I needed to do next. I received friendly and professional service the whole time. Thanks and I'll be back to pass my next inspection!

I went in for an engine leak. They gave me a loaner car, were prompt with their communication, didn’t force any extra services, and everything was quick and seamless. Also, the customer area was very clean. Would highly recommend.

New years eve, 1 hour and 20 minutes to close and they still got me in and repair my flat tire. The great customer service I received was amazing, they saved my day. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

It was my first time visiting Grove Street Auto Repair. I read about the family business in the town’s magazine. The Grove Street team could not have been more welcoming, polite, and knowledgeable. I will always continue to have my vehicles serviced here.

I chose Grove Street Auto Repair for two reasons: I wanted to support a locally-owned, independent business and I wanted to support a business that already had a long-standing reputation for quality work. This was my first interaction with them, but it will not the be the last. Their location is easy to get to with ample parking and signage for drop-off (not true of every shop). The office was clean, bright, and the customer service rep was attentive and thoughtful, which put me at ease the minute I walked in the door. I purchased 4 new tires and an alignment and was given a free loaner car for the duration of the work, which made my day much easier. To be honest, it was a great little car and much nicer than the car I had to rent from the previous auto repair shop. I appreciated this so much because it made me feel less like a "sale" and more like a valued customer. I also appreciated the complimentary inspection for any other related issues that may have been overlooked by me. They even replaced the battery in my key fob when they noticed it was low - which might be a small thing but it's a detail that meant a lot to me! A simple kindness that shows real customer appreciation. My car now drives like it did when I first purchased it! I recently moved to Franklin and was in search of a new auto shop. Came across Grove St. and went in for an oil change and overall checkup. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and they offer shuttle service which was a huge bonus. Was impressed with their vehicle diagnostic inspection and overall explanation on potential work needed. Will 100% be going back.

I had my windows fixed because they wouldn’t go down and an oil change. I was quoted $300 for the windows. When I picked my car up the bill was almost $800. Then I got a vehicle health report sent to me from their tech Bernard V. stating I “urgently needed” new rear brake pads and rotors and that my emergency brake was inoperable. All these repairs would have cost me thousands of dollars that I did not have. That was in the summer. Since then, I’ve made friends with a mechanic and this morning he took off my tires and showed me there is nothing wrong with my rear brakes or rotors. He also showed me how the emergency brake is tested and mine was absolutely fine. I’m so disgusted at the dishonesty of Grove Street Towing and will NEVER go there again! Save yourself the money and go somewhere else.

Brought my vehicle down there twice for repairs. Both times I had no issues with their service. The first time I had them put in a condenser for my AC. They had to take out the dash board to do the job.when I picked up the vehicle it didn't even look like the dash board was removed and had ice cold air for the summer. Second time I had my fluids replaced in transfer case, rear axle and transmission fluid... No leaks.. they may be a bit pricey but they do excellent work.. thank you Grove St.

I had never been to Grove Street Auto Repair until recently. Glad I went. I had an LED running light that was not functioning. A dealership (in the area) told me it would cost almost $700, between parts and labor, to correct the problem. I then took the car to Grove Street Auto Repair to have them look at the issue. They informed me it would cost approx $70 for the part (the wiring connecting the power supply to the light was broken) and about $80 dollars in labor. Grove Street Auto fixed the problem for $150, not the $700 I was quoted at the dealership. Not only did they fix it for considerably less money, they needed to overnight the part so they gave me a loaner vehicle, free of charge, to use in order to keep the car there and get to it first thing in the morning. I spoke to Tony and advised him, " Thank you. You just got a new customer." Everyone there was very professional and courteous. Definitely recommend them.

I was stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and one of the wonderful employees stopped and put my spare on for me without even a thought! I brought my horribly mutilated tire to them that afternoon and by the next day they had a new tire for me and put it on at my convenience! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Everybody was super nice and it was a great experience and I will return to Grove Street Mechanic whenever I need them!

Been going to Grove Street for any vehicle woes since we moved to Franklin in 2022. I grew up with a family mechanic in the Midwest that we trusted like a doctor who always gave anyone in my family an honest estimate and let us know what was necessary to be done and what did not. Grove Street has built my confidence in them to match that of the small town mechanic with big town professionalism and I trust them whole heartedly anytime our vehicles have a cough.

First time at Grove Street Auto. This might be the BEST customer experience I have had in a long time. They are informative, knowledgeable, and set up this business one extremely convenient for the customer. I will be taking all the family vehicles here!

Had a pleasant experience with Grove St once again. I was relieved to get a ride home, then up when the car was done. Everyone there is so helpful with any questions I had. Communication about problems with my car was spot on, called me to explain work and price. Love it.

Had issues with my 2014 Jeep Wrangler and was concerned after moving into the area recently. Tony provided outstanding service from start to finish. The loaner vehicle was also an incredibly helpful touch. The work was done quickly, with quality, and in a cost effective manner. I highly recommend this establishment!!!

I had my car repaired earlier this week (new front brakes, oil change & tire rotation) and had an excellent experience (again). It was easy to schedule the appointment. They had a loaner car available at no cost for me to use that day. Their (multi-step) inspection was super thorough- complete with a report & pictures that were texted to me - showing what required immediate attention (i.e. brakes); needed attention at some point; and areas that passed and were in good shape. I called the service manager and he answered all my questions with knowledge & expertise before they moved forward with the brakes. My car was ready when promised and is running great!! The staff (as always) were very courteous, professional and easy to deal with. Finally, their facility is in an excellent location and only ten minutes from my house in Bellingham. I wouldn’t bring my cars anywhere else. Their services are even better than most dealers I’ve dealt with over the years (on par with Lexus actually). Jim

This was my first time at Grove Street Auto Repair, and I was very happy with everything! I was very impressed when I booked my appointment and was offered a loaner car. When I arrived, I chuckled when I walked in the office, because it’s so nicely decorated in 50’s style - so unusual for a car repair shop! Not important, but I enjoyed it! I was in for a checkup and general maintenance. The friendly person who greeted me explained that I would get an email and text with recommendations about any work my car needed. Sure enough, I received a text and an email with details about what I needed and why. The price was very reasonable. When I picked up my car later in the day, I was pleasantly surprised that my front window had been cleaned. This was a great experience, and I wish I had tried them sooner!

Extremely happy with the service provided!!! I am new to the area and Grove Street Auto was HIGHLY recommended, and I was most definitely NOT lied to. From the incredibly kind and helpful customer service, to the very skilled mechanics, to the pricing. My vehicle runs better than it has in years.
