I had the truck check before buying back in March. They charged $160, way higher than anywhere else. Other trucks I had checked out were $40-60, depending on the area. I was told how great it was, needed minor things like wiper blades, such excellent condition for the year. No warranties in MA, so I have been fine walking away from trucks that needed too much. I was relieved to finally find something that checked out to be so great. Per this garage, definitely something to buy. First time I put gas in, there was a gas leak. I've had three sensors replaced. It needed a whole new engine. Along with other several minor things that have added up to almost $3000. I specifically asked about rust because I bought a travel trailer that I will be going into full time and most of my time will be in the middle of the country. Again, great condition not just for the age but even for newer trucks he had seen, amazingly no rust, I'll be completely fine, the truck hasn't been beat up like so many he said he sees. That was a lie. When I was having something fixed and saw it lifted, all down the center was completely rusted. When I picked up the trailer, it was suggested that I have it painted with the stuff that slows down rusting right away. At point in the process he had called me and yelled at me, so customer service isn't great either.

10/10 would recommend! I recently had my motor blow in my ram 1500 and was unsure on the path to take forward with it. Pat and his team were extremely informative and helped me make the decision to replace the engine with a remanufactured one. The team kept me in the loop with progress on the truck with weekly calls and updates. upon receiving the truck back they had it completely detailed to the point it looked like a brand new truck! will only be bringing my vehicles here going forward. if you are looking for an experienced, reputable and trustworthy shop - look no further than Ashland Service Center! thank you again for all the help with the truck!

Awesome experience. Took the time to find me an aftermarket product , instead of getting me the dealership quoted brand new price. Had a mirror collision fixed, and it looks better than before. Would come to bob again

This place is amazing! I recently purchased a used car that seemed great, until it wasn't. ASC was recommended to me by a colleague and I still can't believe the attention to detail and how Pat (the owner) took the time to explain exactly what was going on and even showed me. He is such a good person - honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend them!

I won’t recommend this place to anyone. I had my vehicle towed here because he was recommended by AAA. my vehicle was there for several days. Bob told me he couldn’t find anything wrong He claims he did a Diagnostic test and charged me $150. For that. And replaced the battery for another $210. Only for me to drive it a few miles and have it break down again. I told him what work had been done on it prior only to have him tell me it wasn’t what the problem was. Well it was the problem!!! Please listen to you customers.

I’ve lived in Ashland for many years but never realized how many great local businesses there are until I made a point of doing a bit of homework and actually seeking them out. This service shop certainly seems to be one of those hidden gems. I got an oil change for my 2013 Subaru Legacy and had them check out the car in general. A Subaru dealer tried to scam me for $7000 worth of repair work, but the ASC mechanic confirmed what I felt from driving the car — everything is fine. But I do need a new set of tires and will have ASC do the work. The service manager, Bob, has been there for 30+ years. The shop does a brisk business and obviously has a regular customer base. Probably not the cheapest place to get service; but in a time when people aren’t so invested in having long term relationships with their customers, it’s great to do business with people who care.

My family has been using Ashland Service Center for years and they take excellent care of our vehicles. My older vehicle needed a lot of work done recently and it was done well and in a timely manner. Would absolutely recommend this business for your auto repair and maintenance needs!

I really can't say enough good things about Ashland Service center! Last week my family of 5 and our dog were driving home to NJ from NH and our car broke down. Thankfully we were at a reststop when it died and not on the highway somewhere. It took quite a while to get a tow due to being on a highway that required us to go through the state police dept and they then send the tow. We were tired and just wanted to be home. We called a few repair places on the AAA list and no one seemed eager to help until we talked to Bob at Ashland Service Center. We discussed what happened and decided that is was likely the alternator. Bob said that as soon as he got the car in his shop he would confirm the diagnosis. When we arrived he had one of his bays open and waiting for our Honda mini van. Bob had already found and alternator at a nearby parts distributor and had it on hold for us. We walked to a nearby pizzeria and had something to eat, outside tables thankfully because we had the dog. When we returned it was a short wait talking to Bob about vacations and soon our car was ready. They replaced the alternator, a belt, the battery and brake light that had burned out. Two hours from our arrival at the shop to us waving goodbye and continuing home. If you need car repairs done, then go to Ashland Service Center. Bob and his friendly staff were the best! I wish we could use them all the time but we live too far away!

Bob and his crew were phenomenal! I called Bob in the morning to bring my truck in for alignment and they were able to schedule me in that day. They got the truck dialed in and drives very smooth! 10/10 would recommend them!!

Bob and the team at Ashland Service Center are excellent. They always find a way to squeeze me in. The team is friendly, transparent, get my permission before performing any additional services (and are up front about the costs), and communicate well. All repairs are done efficiently and correctly.

Bob did an awesome job working my car in quickly so I didn't lose more time/days for work. They were able to fix the squealing noise (pebble stuck between the caliper and dust shield). However, due to the transmission type of my vehicle (sealed transmission, damn Ford) they were unable to do anything further to investigate the engine light. Still, they were able to look up the code for me and guide me in what the issue might be and the warranty coverages that applied to my vehicle. Great service and helpful staff. Will definitely consider performing more service at this stellar location.

As a newer resident to the area, I needed some urgent repairs to my vehicle. AAA towed my car to this place and I called Bob the next morning. He was very informative about the situation and advised me what needed to be done. I had my car back in record timing. Bob was funny and the services provided here were a notch above the rest. He made me feel confident in driving my vehicle away and I will continue to return for any other vehicle needs! 10/10 I've already recommended them!

I had an fantastic experience with Bob and the team at Ashland Service Center. I had an emergency and needed an alternator replaced on a Friday before the weekend. Bob made sure to take care of everything, for a very reasonable price, and did an excellent job. I highly recommend them!

My son's car was towed here by AAA when he got stuck in a parking lot in Ashland. We live out of town and were really at their mercy. They were amazingly wonderful and fixed what was wrong quickly and charged a reasonable fee. They suggested other issues for when we get back home to our usual mechanic. I was so impressed with them that I had them do the additional work too. They are about 25 miles from home but I am hoping to use them as our regular mechanic in the future. I can't recommend them highly enough....you won't be sorry if you use them.

My car was towed to ashland service center after I had a blown out tire. When I got to the garage bob was able to replace my tires and get me going again within an hour. Bob provided fantastic customer service, prices, and kindness on a poor day. I would recommend him and his team to anyone in need of a repair.
