I was pleasantly surprised they offered metal cutting services, I needed a few pieces of aluminum sheet cut to size with a circle cut out and they were able to make it happen at a fair price. I definitely appreciate the value of the work they provided.

awful! these guys say they are giving you the best price but rape you in weight. 3 bins that may have wighed 10 lb's total and they had it at 90 . over 220 lb's of thhn and they had it at 150. yup they can give you the best price because when they rip you off in 160 lb's at 3.00 a lb they more than make up for it.

I have been to every scrap yard around the Area . And this one is the best the people there r great from the yard workers to the scale house Tara and Abe r top notch. The guys at door 2 r always helpful Shawn really knows his stuff . Joe in the crane has saved my back one to many times . CID and Dwane run a tight ship in the scrap pile and there is a lot to handle in that part of the yard . God Bless all the yard help and sorry if I left anyone out .
Had them cut a 3/8" steel plate for the front of my subwoofer enclosure to hold the weight of the subwoofers and give me a solid brace point - they got it done super fast and it came out absolutely perfect. They have awesome staff who will ask the questions that need to be asked to ensure that you are going to get what you went there for.
Even if you are unsure of what you exactly need and want to just brainstorm an idea, I highly recommend visiting or calling them and seeing what they say as they might be able to come up with a solution for something you may not have thought of.

740lbs of steel, iron and aluminum was quoted as "tin" and I was payed 38.00 dollars. My first time scrapping metal, but after looking at receipt and thinking about what I actually left there, I was definitely ripped off.
This company proved to be a stand up provider of alloy there were a couple issues with my order but it was handled in stand up fashion. I will continue to use the in the future
I used to use them exclusively for my steel and metal sales before covid. They were always friendly and had good prices. Post covid, less quality...prices are still very competitive, customer service has since tanked with phone only service. Still using them for now but getting a lil impatient
They quoted me $40 for a piece... I get there 4 hours later the price jumped to $73. Guy told me they must've quoted me steel prices, which was odd considering General in New Bedford quoted me $43. So mid city lost a good customer today. I won't be bringing scrap nor buying from them any more. There are plenty of other places around that won't try to rip you off and WANT your business.
I go mid city to pick up some steel Day give me my paperwork and everything and then I wait for like 40 minutes then this guy at the desk his name Dave asked me why you here for I tell him I'm pick up This is my paperwork if you see me I am here waiting for a long time and he answer me if you don't like it just walk away I don't need you here I am the boss here You are only a Visitor and you can leave now and He call someone on the back and say cancel this order
Got wholesale price one time and got hustled the next by a greedy little smiling con man,I am a small bussiness trying to grow, got a better price from a customer of theirs.It hurts when you need wholesale to compete with biggies...very disappointed!

These guys are the best in the business, they have the latest and greatest technology for there industry. They laser cut some diamond plate for me and I was very impressed from the time I walked through the door and was greeted by a sales person to the guys in the shop that did the job. Keep up the good work Mid City Steel you have a customer for life I would highly recommend them.
