Brought some clean and dirty copper there in some light and thin plastic bins. After I took off I realized that they marked the Tare on the trash bins as 20lbs and 19lbs. They probably weight 3lbs at most lost out on $125
It all depends on who you get at the yard, there’s a younger guy that works there that’s great to work with. The rest rip you off to the point that you would think it’s their own money
Great place. I've been going there many years. Decent prices BUT people at door 2 rip you off often if you don't watch your slips people. They add partially bogus nonferrus charges in the hundred to hundreds of dollars & sometimes totay 100% or close to it fake amounts. You can often visually see the estimate weight of nonferrus in loads that are 90%++ clean on those scales by eye, but they stand there in front of you and use the calculator to charge bogus weight amounts that cut into your $$$ @ check out in the scale house. I just heard there's new owners. I called the office 2x this year and not one single return call to my messages I left them 2x this year about it. I forget to check the slip before I leave while being in a hurry or trying to get it off the way of others coming in to dump their door 2 scrap until I leave or get home. Then I see my rip off amount! This has happened at least 6x this year to me alone since I noticed! I told them I'm taking my scrap elsewhere if It happens again on my message. I hope they continue their rewards program for us scrappers! God bless. God luck with the new business! Things need to change!
Every time I go there Sean always helps me out he is a All-Star employee and I will never go anywhere else as long as he is working there. His mother is also great as well they make a great team as far as I'm concerned
Easy to get to and find. In and out. Very efficient. Not very organized, a little confusing. Be careful driving through. Brought in over 100lbs of mixed metals (iron, steel, copper, aluminum) got bottom dollar (less than $15 for over 100lbs). Only friendly depending on who you deal with. Not sure I'd recommend
They were closed Friday and Saturday this week for Thanksgiving. Went there on Monday and it was really busy. But, the staff did a great job getting everyone where they needed to be.
Today I was in an out ..2 times ,once for tin ,once for door #2 . Never had a real problem with workers (unless u put stuff in wrong pile).lol.
They have come a long way an continue to change over the decade I've have been bringing my scrap metal there,an will continue to.
An out of all that I only had 1 fight with another costumer about( 4 yrs ago ) who in the end was at fault ,even after he called the cops . So be careful an PAY ATTENTION AT ALL TIMES WHEN IN THE YARD ..Happy Scrapping OR SOMETHING.
It was my first time there. I had about 30 pounds of metal that i no longer needed. The employees were very courteous. The price that i received for my metal i felt was fair. Checking out and getting paid was fairly quick. I could go back again.
Great bunch of guys over at Mid City. Always willing to answer your questions to help you maximize the amount you get by properly sorting through your different metals. Sometimes they are very busy but they always treat each customer fairly and respectfully. I've never had a bad experience here.
Excellent pricing offered on almost every possible alloy. This company employs individuals whom truly understand customer relations. Especially in the non ferrous department if not for TJ I believe the company would suffer. It's ok to tip people they work hard enough without helping you sort to maximize your profits
I had a bin of extruded aluminium about 100 lbs. and they gave me old sheet aluminium price for it. Because there were a few pieces of sheet placed on top to get it out of other customers way while I was unloading other items from my truck. You cannot tell what they give until you go in the office to cash out.
Nice place, very efficient. I wish it weren't quite as congested and I didn't care for driving my truck over debris to get to the place to unload. To have gotten a flat would have cut into my profits.
Nice people just little tight for 18 wheeler 🚛 but they help u a lot so don’t worry to came here Quick loading
Also they can tell u axels weight if u want
