With the hateful posts and comments from an employee I would never recommend this place. Sounds like there may be hateful judgement towards other's beliefs and sexuality and with this kind of unacceptable behavior I wouldn't be surprised with racism. Might be ridiculed and taken advantage of financially. Employees have a responsibility promoting businesses with a positive welcoming attitude and certainly not like these hateful comments. Stay away.
Horrible! If you want a professional, stay far away from here. Took my car in for a simple inspection. The mechanic was rude and threw the jack down and started to walk away when I suggested he use the pucks I had in the trunk. The wife said “oh, we do Tesla’s a lot so we know how to lift them.” I replied “okay.” After mechanic/owner was finished and drove the car out, he muttered that he “hated these things.” I asked “hate what, Tesla’s?” He said yeah. I said “I wish I’d known that because I wouldn’t have come here.” The wife was nice and tried to smooth things out for her immature, tantrum-throwing husband. Oh, and he got dirty fingerprints all over the wheel and door of the car. What a joke. So different from a regular, professional shop. Surprised this dump can stay operational in a place like Lenox.
A great and I don't use that word lightly a great old school automotive shop. Fair quality work done there They inspect cars they kind of work on most things. But the big deal is that their family husband and wife shop super super nice people. if they have room for you they're the place to go.
UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. AMATEURS. RUDE MECHANIC.
Made an appointment to change tires, check brakes, check oil, change oil and check fluids. On the day of dropping the car i have reminded to check tires and check brakes, change oil. The car is pretty old and definitely needs more attention and care, especially before the winter. Later in the day received the call that the car is all set to pick up(tires were changed), and I asked the service guy if he checked the brakes and changed oil. He told me that nobody has informed him about this and he already has my car outside, and different car is already on the lift. When I came to the shop and asked them to make it right and why is this happen, he repeated again and started yelling on me that nobody has informed about it, he didn't have this on the book and basically it's not his fault, he was blaming his co-workers of this issue. He also was yelling on me in front of other customers too, which is disgusting. Very rude mechanic and unprofessional. Thats how they treat their local customers. With no respect and apology.
Do not go there if you are looking for a professional mechanic to work on your car.
The gentleman behind the counter was polite and very helpful, but due to a recent ownership change, in-store stock was pretty lean. So, despite his best efforts he could not find me the tire gauge I wanted. He apologized but it wasn't his fault.
Fortune automotive. They are phenomenal people, knowledgeable, and have a sense of humour. This is one of the best shops around. Lou and Gayle make you feel like you're one of the family. Chris their mechanic is knowledgeable, funny and a hard worker. The no longer do towing but it's made up for in the service you receive at the shop. Lou is a veteran and a great addition to Lenox VFW. He respects you and you vehicle. I recommend all the way. Great people, great service at a price that's fair.
Took my car to get a rear drivers running light fixed and inspection. A mechanic , not the owner told me we could buypass the fuse and connect with the right running light.fuse. Said he could do it for $40.00 Set up an appointment , could not make it because of a storm and rescheduled. The owner was present this time and I guess the mechanic suggested something that was not correct or that the owner did not want to do. Just the day before the only light in the rear that was not working was my drivers side rear running light. Brake lights worked, back up lights worked, turn signal, right running light. The owner spent 5 minutes on the car said he could not do what his mechanic suggested. Drove away and thought to check my tail light. I checked them and now both right and left running lights do not work and top brake light is dimmed. Turned around and went back and he refused to fix it. He should be concerned his other mechanic is offering services that he the owner does not want to do. And to return a car not in the condition it was given is wrong and then refuse to not fix it.
Really good work done here -- they are quick, timely, honest, and priced reasonably.
It's family-run/small business, and definitely much better than some of the big-box autoshops and dealerships! They do a good job.
AVOID! I had my car towed here when the fuel pump malfunctioned and I was stranded in frigid winter temperatures. The repair was urgent due to cold weather. Fortune Auto had my car for 2 hours. They replaced hoses and clamps on the fuel pump. They said it was repaired and safe to drive 2 hours to Boston. I was charged $150. The $150 was kindly paid by a local Catholic church as as I have been financially distressed after injuries. The very next day my fuel pump malfunctioned again. In 10 degree weather! I called Fortune Auto back and they said they would do whatever it takes to fix it right. I returned. Then they had the audacity to tell a financially distressed person getting help from a local church at the holidays that to fix it "right," it would cost another $400 or $500 *after* telling me they fixed it the day before for $150. They were attempting to milk more money from the church. I kindly pleaded with them to please refund the $150 to the Catholic church since my fuel pump failed within 24 hours of their repair. They would not. I have no refund and no repaired car. Avoid this place !
