Don't expect any sort of professional service at the can redemption center! The man that works there is a complete jerk!! He should just quit if he's that miserable there.
Hmm, look closely. Most of the male-sounding names say he's terrible and rude, most female-sounding names say he's so sweet. Not 100% but way out of balance. Women notice when someone's being creepy.
I have never written a negative review before...Nothing less than 3 stars because I know people can have a bad day...But today is the day...Came with three trash bags of plastic bottles & cans...I said, "How are you?"...Guy gruffly says, "Depends what you have in the bags."...Before I can say anything else he rips open one bag & rudely says, "Nope, I don't take these. I don't take anything besides Coke, Pepsi, Bud & Miller Lite & whatever they sell next door (Daggett's Liquors)"...I had a mostly Coke & Pepsi products...I said, "Where do I take them then?"...He rudely says, "Take 'em back to where you got 'em. Take em back to Stop & Shop or Shaw's."...So I did & I won't go back to Daggett's again...Meanwhile at Shaw's during my hand feeding the machine it became full & a pleasant & polite attendant came out to empty the machine...Day & night customer service...I know it's not a glamorous job working at the redemption center, but even making allowances for disliking your job, this was uncalled for...He could have politely explained the situation & I could have gone back to my car & separated the returns & come back...
Worst place to go to for bottle redemption!! The guy is super rude, and started swearing at me when I brought in two bags of cans. When he took the two bags he threw them across the room and started flipping out and throwing the cans all over the ground. Horrible customer service!
Walked up with a few bags of cans and the employee outside said"you'd better read the sign on the door first". This was quite a rude way to greet a customer. If I had to many bottles, or whatever, a "Good afternoon sir, I'm sorry but we are limited to X amount of cans per visit" There are many places around to redeem, I simply returned to my car and went to Luke's.
Guy in redemption was extremely arrogant, and needs to not take anger out on customers. I work as a Manager in retail, there's no excuse for his attitude. I've come here for years, and never have experienced this, and will not be back.
Went to redemption yesterday and the man there was rude and said no way he was taking all the cans I had and said I need to learn how to read but did not see any sign that said not taking any more cans
This place is a RIP off!! I just brought 2 giant redemption bags there. That's $40 worth of aluminum cans. I was given a slip for $19.90! That's less than half of what I redeemed. I knew that they skimmed, but I never complained because it saved me the trouble of feeding the machines. But HALF? Who do I complain to? Because the owner just shrugged and said that he didn't know what to say. This is a crime in my opinion and needs to stop.
Went to return cans early in the day. Multiple Signs in the window said “closed” ,” back in 15,” “closed at 2” . There are no posted hours. A man was bringing cans/bottles in so We poked our head In the door and were yelled at that they’re ready closed” didn’t you sign the ducking signs”. Not a reasonable response .

Had 2 products that I could not find at two other liquor stores in the area.
Good prices and a very cordial staff.
Best liquor store in the mid-cape area.
Great selection of locally brewed craft beer. The employee working at the time helped us make sure our beer was within it's "enjoy by" date, crucial for those New England IPAs.
I visited the redemption center on Tuesday December 4th 2018 and I was appalled at the lack of customer service skills this man who I eventually asked (4 times before he told me) his name which was Kevin had. I walked in with a smile and asked him how he was and he gave me a dirty look and grunted threw his gloves off and aggressively grabbed my 1st bag of cans and proceeded to throw everything around again quite aggressively making me extremely uncomfortable I have never in my life felt so threatened in a professional environment like this and was shaking on the verge of tears. This man has no business working with the public. I will NEVER EVER visit this place again and would strongly advise against going here. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in my entire life and daggetts needs a serious change in this employees attitude and in my opinion he should be terminated for acting this way and intimidating me like he did. I burst into tears as soon as I walked out the door shaking like a leaf thinking about all he was whipping around and throwing carelessly. Disgraceful! They should be ashamed of themselves for paying this man!!! Never ever again!
Not a super store but a solid selection. Route 28 is a strange beast. When the road is busy. it can take a while to get anywhere and, given Shaw’s and Job Lot is across the street, Dagget’s is convenient. If 28 is empty, Luke’s is the better choice.
